1.1 Warnings and information

• The charger is intended exclusively for charging Apex Tool Group lithium ion batteries, order no.
935377.

Check shipment for transit damage and ensure that all items have been supplied:
1 Battery charger
1 EU power cable
1 Operating instructions
Transport and store the charger in the original packaging. The packaging can be recycled.
3 Product description
3.1 General description
• Automatically detection of

• Automatic transition to conservation charging after full charging
guarantees maximum battery operating time.
• Voltage monitoring prevents overdischarging or battery short-circuiting
CAUTION! Electrical safety
Do not operate the charger if the housing, power cable or plug are damaged.
Do not use batteries which have been damaged or modified in any way. Batteries which have been
damaged or modified may respond unpredictably, causing fire, explosion or injury.
Do not open the charger.
Do not modify the charger structurally.
Operate the charger in dry, enclosed rooms only.
Protect the charger from moisture and rain.
Never operate the charger under unsuitable ambient conditions (i.e. where combustible gases, solvents,
dust, vapors or moisture is present).
Workstation
Ensure that there is enough space at the workstation.
Keep the work area clean and dry.

LED Result

Green flashing light Battery full: conservation charging
Red flashing light, long Error in battery: defective or overdischarged battery.

Use only Apex Tool Group lithium ion batteries, order no. 935377.
Never use other battery types.
Connect the charger to the power network:
green continuous light indicates that power is
supplied.
Mains switch on (see rear panel).
Plug the battery into the charger until the stop.
After plug-in, the red continuous light is lit, indicat-
ing that charging is in progress. When charging is
finished, the charger automatically shuts off the
charging process. Red continuous light goes out,
green flashing light appears.
The red continuous light should not be lit before plugging in.
If necessary, when changing batteries, wait a few seconds until the indicator goes off.
Error Cause Measure
The green continuous light is not lit when
mains connection available. No power supply voltage. Check and restore the
power supply voltage.
Check the position of the
mains switch.
Power cable defective. Replace power cable.
Charger defective Replace charger.

6 Maintenance
To ensure proper charger function, keep the contacts of the charger and batteries free of dirt.

The red continuous light is not lit when the
battery plugged in. The battery that is plugged in has already been charged
(red LED stays off).
Check battery for proper
function.
The battery contacts are not
connected correctly. Plug the battery in again.
Contacts are dirty. Clean the contacts of the
charger and battery.
Battery defective Check battery and replace
if necessary.
CAUTION!
To clean the charger, make sure the power plug is disconnected and clean with a dry cloth.
If repair is required, send the complete charger to Apex Tool Group. It may be repaired only by authorized
technicians. Opening the charger will void the warranty.
