SETUP
1. Connect HEIMDALL to a power outlet using the
included AC-DC adaptor.
2. HEIMDALL will automatically power on when
connected. If it does not - please press the “PLAY/
PAUSE” button.
Get started: Power On:
Note: If a Wi-Fi connection cannot be established, then HEIMDALL will say:
“No device connected” and then: “Please reconnect your device”.Note: Only use the included AC-DC adaptor.
1. Press “PLAY/PAUSE“ and HEIMDALL will power on.
2. Four white LED’s will ash rapidly, which indicates
HEIMDALL is booting up.

Many modern routers support Wi-Fi
setup feature. If yours does, locate the
Wi-Fi setup button and then continue
this guide.
1. Start by pressing the “Wi-Fi setup”
button on the rear of HEIMDALL.
HEIMDALL will say: “Waiting for
connection” and purple LED will
ash rapidly.
2. Quickly press your routers Wi-
Fi setup button and wait until
HEIMDALL says: “Your device is
now connected”. All ve LED will
start breathing slowly.

Note: If you do not press Wi-Fi setup button within 2 mins. or a Wi-Fi connection
cannot be established – HEIMDALL will return to the previous state.
By using Music Direct you are able
to setup the network connection for
HEIMDALL, by using either a Web
browser or the Clint App.
1. Press and hold the ”Wi-Fi Setup”
button on the rear of HEIMDALL for
4-5 seconds until the purple LED
ashes rapidly and the four white
LED’s are solid.
2. On your selected music device (ex.
iPhone or computer) search for a Wi-
Fi connection.
3. When you see: “Clint | HEIMDALL“,
connect with it.
4. You have now made a direct
connection to your HEIMDALL. Read
the next few pages to learn two
methods for connecting HEIMDALL
to your home network.

Clint also developed an application, which
can be downloaded on the App Store or
Google Play. Please download our app
before going through below steps:
1. Make sure your music device and
HEIMDALL is connected via Music Direct
(See page 10).
2. Open the Clint App and choose the
“Speaker Settings” option.
3. Choose the “Network setting” option for
your HEIMDALL.
4. Choose your Wi-Fi network on the list
and enter password (If applicable).
5. HEIMDALL will now reboot and try to
connect to your Wi-Fi network.

1. Open the internet browser on your
device and write 192.168.1.1 in the
address bar. Press “ENTER” to go to
the web interface of HEIMDALL.
2. Here you can connect HEIMDALL to
your Wi-Fi network.
3. Choose your network (SSID) on
the list and enter your password (if
applicable).
4. Click Apply to accept. HEIMDALL
will now reboot and try to connect to
your Wi-Fi network.
5. HEIMDALL will say ”Waiting for
connection” and then ”Your device
is now connected”. This is indicated
by all ve LED’s slowly breathing.

It is always possible to reset HEIMDALL if any issues occur.
1. Press and hold Volume “+” and Volume “-” down
simultaneously for 3-4 seconds to perform a system reset.
2. When the LED’s turns off release the buttons. Wait until
HEIMDALL has rebooted. HEIMDALL will say: “No device
connected” and then – “Please reconnect your device”
(See page 9 for connecting to network).
Pressing the “ ” button will switch HEIMDALL between
single speaker mode and MultiRoom (WHA) mode.
The rst speaker is set as MASTER and the rest will be set
as SLAVES.
Note: Read more about MultiRoom (WHA) on page 22.

Playing DLNA / AirPlay:
With DLNA and Airplay playback
(Single Mode) is ongoing the top
LED is solid purple.
Playing Aux-In:
Top LED is off and four white
LED’s are solid.
Playing MultiRoom Mode:
The top LED will be solid Blue
and the four white LEDs will also
be solid.

Searching:
When purple LED is ashing fast,
HEIMDALL is trying to establish a
new Wi-Fi connection.
No Connection:
When HEIMDALL does not
have any Wi-Fi connection, the
4 white LED’s will ash twice
continuously.
Sleep Mode (Single Mode):
When purple LED is breathing
with the white LEDs.
Sleep Mode (MultiRoom):
Top blue LED is breathing with
the four white LED’s.
Power Off:
When HEIMDALL is turned off -
all LED’s are off as well.
Booting:
When the 4 white LED’s are
ashing rapidly, HEIMDALL is
booting up.

PLAYBACK ON HEIMDALL
Wireless
AirPlay is Apple Inc. software feature that is used to stream audio and
video between devices connected to a Wi-Fi network.
You can stream from iTunes on Mac or PC. Or you can use an iOS
device: iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.
1. Start playback on the iOS device and click on the AirPlay icon.
2. Choose “Clint | HEIMDALL” as output device (speaker).
With a DLNA music application on your Android / WP8 / Windows /
iOS etc. device you can also stream music to HEIMDALL. (Please use
the Clint App for iOS and Android).
For more information regarding Clint App please go to our website at
www.clintdigital.com
Other third party DLNA apps may also work but Clint cannot be held
responsible for the use and/or functions of these apps. We refer to
the user guide of the specic app for more information. Remember to
choose “Clint | HEIMDALL” as output device (speaker).

Wireless / MultiRoom (WHA)
If you have invested in more MultiRoom (WHA)
compatible Clint Asgard™ devices, you can
take full advantage of the MultiRoom (WHA)
function. Read below to learn more.
Note: MultiRoom (WHA) playback is not possible
using AirPlay.
1. To set a MultiRoom (WHA) device, press the
MultiRoom (WHA) button on the HEIMDALL
or in the Clint App.
2. The rst device that is pressed will act as
MASTER. The front top LED will change from
purple to blue.
3. The following devices pressed will act as
SLAVES. The front top LED will change from
purple to blue.
4. All DLNA music playback (when using
MultiRoom, WHA) on the MASTER device
will be redistributed to the SLAVE devices.

5. To cancel MultiRoom (WHA) mode press the MultiRoom (WHA)
button on HEIMDALL or in the Clint App. The front top LED will
change to purple to indicate single mode.
6. MultiRoom (WHA) mode will also be cancelled if a music stream
from another device overrules.
7. Using AirPlay will automatically cancel the MultiRoom (WHA) mode
for the actual device. If the device is a MASTER then all SLAVE’s will
also be cancelled and returned to single mode.

Music Direct (Wireless)
Your music devices can also connect to HEIMDALL using Music Direct.
This can be an advantage if HEIMDALL is located in a place without
Wi-Fi but wireless playback is still desired.
1. Press and hold the “Wi-Fi Setup” button on HEIMDALL for 4-5
seconds until the front top LED ashes purple rapidly and the four
white LED’s are solid.
2. Search for available Wi-Fi networks on your device (We refer to the
user guide of the specic product).
3. Find “Clint | HEIMDALL” on the list of available networks and
connect with it.
4. Choose HEIMDALL as output device.
5. You can now play music directly from your device to HEIMDALL.

Note: Volume control in MultiRoom (WHA) mode will only affect volume
on the MASTER. Volume on SLAVE’s needs to be controlled manually or
via Clint App.
Note: SLAVE’s will be forced back to single mode once a MASTER is
“removed/disappear”. They cannot act as SLAVE without a MASTER.
Note: To release HEIMDALL from the Music Direct mode, press the
“Wi-Fi Setup” button once. HEIMDALL will return to its previous state.

OUTPUTS ON HEIMDALL
Connect HEIMDALL to headphones or
your existing Hi-Fi system
This output allows for a 3.5 mm headphone jack to be
connected. Just connect your own headphones and enjoy your
music through HEIMDALL.
From this output you can connect HEIMDALL to your existing
Hi-Fi music system.
It works as a combo output for either analogue out or optical
out*. Simply connect to the input on your Hi-Fi music system to
enjoy sound from HEIMDALL.
*Included adaptor must be used.

POWER SAVING INFORMATION
After 20 mins with no activity your HEIMDALL can go to full stand by mode.
• Power consumption of HEIMDALL in full standby mode is 0.12W
The Wi-Fi feature of HEIMDALL can be manually disabled (or enabled) by
pressing “Volume down”, “MultiRoom” and “MUTE” buttons simultaneously
for 3-4 seconds.
