Note: Please recharge the MP4-player before using it!
For Your Safety:
Read this user guide carefully to ensure proper use of the product and to avoid any danger or physical damage.
Please handle your MP4-player properly in case of explosion, fire, electric shock, etc.
Do not leave the player in a place subject to moisture or temperatures higher than 50°C or lower than –10°C.
1. Do not repair the MP4-player yourself, or it will cause damage.
2. Do avoid getting the MP4-player wet and never drop it in water.
3. Please backup important data onto your personal computer as repair or other causes may result in data loss.
When using your MP4-player, pay attention to your health, especially hearing.
1. Do not use earphones while driving or riding a bicycle.
2. You may cause an accident, if you turn up the volume of the earphones while walking down the street.
3. Do not turn up the volume too high, doctors warn against prolonged exposure to high volume.
4. Stop using the device or turn down the volume, if you experience a ringing in your ears.
5. Always use the accessories provided by or approved by our company, also do not spray water on the MP4-player.

Charge battery before using the device
1. Connect PC USB-port and MP4 USB-port with the provided USB-cable.
2. As soon as you leave the PC-mode (In order to leave the PC-mode: click on “Safely remove hardware” – icon with green
arrow on the taskbar on the bottom), a battery is shown while charging, with colours moving from red to yellow to green;
once fully charged, the colours inside of the battery will stop moving. If the device is fully charged, please turn off the main
power.
If the unit is being used during charging, it will take longer to charge.
3. To stop the recharging process, disconnect the USB-cable from the PC USB-port.
Note:
Before your first use, please fully charge your MP4-player.
Your computer must be turned on while it is connected to your MP4-player for charging.
CAUTION:
Do not disassemble, crush, short-circuit or incinerate your battery as it may cause fire, injury, burns, or other hazards.
‘Warning Low battery’ appears on the display, before the MP4-player turns itself off. Please recharge the battery, in order to
be able to use your MP4-player again.

Adding/Removing MP4 files/folders:
You can use the player as a removable USB storage device
1. Connect PC USB-port and MP4 USB-port with the provided USB-cable.
2. Add MP4 files/folders to the USB storage folder.
I. Open files/folders to be transferred from your computer.
II. Open My Computer • Removable Disk from the desktop.
III. Select the files/folders to be transferred from your computer and put them into a folder of your choice in the
Removable Disk (you can also transfer files from your PC to the player using the "Copy" and "Paste" function).
3. Delete MP4 files from the removable USB storage (use the "Delete" command).
Remove the player from a PC:
Please follow the operating steps, otherwise it may damage the player or result in loss of data
1. With the left mouse button click on the arrow-icon that is on the taskbar at the bottom right corner of the desktop.
2. Click on "Safely remove USB Mass storage Device – Drive(G:)".
3. Disconnect the player from your computer.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the player while files within the USB Mass Storage are being played on your computer.
Do not disconnect the player from your computer while transferring files or it will cause damage to the player or result in
loss of data.

Menu Navigation
MENU-button (M): Enter main menu, submenu return or confirm.
Skip-buttons (◀/▶): Shift the main menus.
Play/Pause-button (▶∣∣): Play, Pause.
Press and hold MENU-button to enter main menu.
Press ◀/▶to select your desired menu-item (Music, Video, Photo, Text, Record, Explorer, Game, Settings, Radio)
MUSIC
Select the menu-item “Music” and short press the MENU-button to enter the Music-menu. Press the MENU-button again, and
then enter the file/folder list.
Key functions:
Short press ▲/▼to select a music file.
After selecting a music file, short press the MENU-button to enter the playback interface. Press ▶∣∣to listen to the chosen
music.
While the music is playing, short press the MENU-button to enter the file/folder list. Long press it to return to the
main menu. And playback will not be interrupted.
Function instruction:
1. Adjusting the volume and select a title
Short press ▲/▼, in order to adjust the volume (increase/decrease). Long press ▲/▼to increase/decrease the volume
fast.
Short press ◀/▶, in order to select a title.
2. Music list
Short press the MENU-button to enter the list of music files.
3. Setting the EQ
Long press the MENU-button to return to the main menu. Go to the menu-item “Settings”, enter this menu by
pressing the MENU-button and then choose the option “Music”. Press the MENU-button to enter this option. Then go
to “EQ Select” and press the MENU-button to enter the EQ-selection.
Choose between: Normal, 3D, Rock, Pop, Classic, Bass, Jazz, User EQ
Press the MENU-button again to confirm your choice and you can enjoy a different sound-effect.
4. A-B Replay
During playback, short press the ON/OFF-button once, and the starting point “A” is set. ‘A-’ is displayed. Short press
the ON/OFF-button again, and the ending point “B” is set. ‘A-B’ is displayed. Now, only the segment between starting
point and ending point is played repeatedly.
Short press the ON/OFF-button one more time to exit the replay-mode and you will return to the regular playback;
while playback is paused, the “A-B replay” does not function.
During ‘A-’, or ‘A-B’ status, long press ◀/▶, to cancel the “A-B replay”.
VIDEO
Key functions:
Short press ▲/▼to select the video file.
After selecting a video file, short press the MENU-button to confirm your selection and play the file. Press ▶∣∣ to watch
the chosen video.
During playback, short press the MENU-button to return to the video file list; long press the MENU-button to return to the
main menu.

Function instruction:
1. Fast forward/Fast rewind
While playing a video, long press ◀/▶to fast rewind/fast forward.
2. Video file list
Short press the MENU-button to enter the video file list, then short press ▲/▼ to select the a video file. Long press
the MENU-button to return to the main menu.
3. Adjust the volume
Short press ▲/▼ to adjust the volume (increase/decrease). Long press ▲/▼to increase/decrease the volume fast.
RADIO
Enter the Radio-menu. Press the MENU-button to select: Manual, Prese, Save, Delete, Auto.
Manual: Press the MENU-button for confirmation. Press ◀/▶ to change the frequency manually.
Prese: Press the MENU-button for confirmation, and to save the current station.
Save: Press the MENU-button to enter. Press ◀/▶ to select a station. Press the MENU-button to confirm the saved
station; the frequency displayed on the screen will replace the frequency that was saved before.
Delete: Press the MENU-button to enter. Press ◀/▶to select the station, that you want to delete. Press the MENU-button
for confirmation. After deleting the chosen station, the station’s frequency will display “empty”.
Auto: Press the MENU-button to enter. The player will automatically search stations. Press ◀/▶ to select a station.
Adjust the volume: Short press ▲/▼ to adjust the volume (increase/decrease). Long press ▲/▼to increase/decrease the
volume fast.
Note:
In Radio-mode, the earphones are used as the antenna, so please make sure, that the earphones are connected well.
PHOTO
In the main menu, select the menu-item “Photo”. Short press the MENU-button to enter this menu. Press the MENU-button
again to enter the photo file list.
Key functions:
Short press ▲/▼to select a file.
Select the file and press the MENU-button and the selected photo will be displayed full screen. Press ◀/▶to select other
photos.
Short press the MENU-button to return to the photo file list. Long press the MENU-button to return to the main menu.

TEXT
In the main menu, select the menu-item “Text”. Short press the MENU-button to enter this menu. Press the MENU-button
again to enter the Text file list.
Key functions:
Short press ▲/▼to select a file.
Short press the MENU-button to confirm the selection, then you will enter the Text interface.
Short press the MENU-button and return to the Text file list.
Long press the MENU-button to return to the main menu.
Function instruction:
1. Short press the MENU-button to enter the Text reading interface.
2. Short press ◀/▶and the text can be turned over to full screen.
3. Short press ▲/▼ and the text can be turned over to rows.
4. Short press ▶∣∣ and the list of saved bookmarks is displayed, short press ▲/▼ to select a bookmark and then short press
the MENU-button for confirmation or short press ◀to exit.
5. Short press the ON/OFF-button to display the bookmark list, short press ▲/▼ to select a bookmark and then short press the
MENU-button for confirmation or short press ◀to exit.
While reading, you can estimate the content, due to the progress strip on the right side.
The set bookmark is only for the current reading file. For other files, new bookmarks must be set.
RECORD
In the main menu, select the menu-item “Record”. Short press the MENU-button to enter this menu.
Operating steps:
Recording
1. Press the MENU-button to enter the recording interface, short press the ON/OFF-button and the recording starts.
2. Short press the ON/OFF-button to pause the recording, long press the ON/OFF-button to save the recording and then
prepare for the next recording.
Playback of the recording
1. Press the MENU-button to go to the main menu. Choose the menu-item “Music”. Press the MENU-button to enter this
menu-item.
2. Press the MENU-button to enter the file list. Press ▲/▼ to select the folder “VOICE”.
3. Press the MENU-button to enter this folder. Press ▲/▼ to select the recorded file you would like to listen to. Then press
the MENU-button again to play the chosen file.
4. Short press ▲/▼ to adjust the volume (increase/decrease). Long press ▲/▼to increase/decrease the volume fast.

In the main menu, select the menu-item “Explorer”. Short press the MENU-button to enter this menu. In the explorer-menu,
all saved files are listed.
Operating steps:
1. Select a file
Short press ▲/▼ to select a file.
When you select a folder, short press the MENU-button to enter the folder.
After you selected a file, press the MENU-button to enter the playback interface.
Press ◀and return to the previous content.
Press the MENU-button and return to the main menu.
2. Delete a file
When you want to delete a file, select the file you want to delete and then short press the ON/OFF-button and a
dialog box appears. Short press ◀/▶to select “Yes” or “No”, then short press the MENU-button to delete the file.
If you want to cancel deleting a file, short press ◀/▶to select “No”, and then short press the MENU-button to exit
the dialog box.
After confirmation that the file was deleted, the current music playback is stopped.
GAME
In the main menu, select the menu-item “Game”. Short press the MENU-button to enter this menu.
Basic instructions:
You can control the descending speed of the descending object by pressing ▶.
Press ◀to turn over the objects.
When a row is full, that row is cleared, and the objects above will move down until the objects cannot find anymore space.
Then, the game is over. If you clear one row, at the same time you will score 100 points, two rows score 300 points, three
rows score 700 points, four rows score 1500 points. Every time the score exceeds 10000, the speed will be increased.
Operating steps:
1. Start and pause
Short press ▶∣∣ to switch between start and pause.
2. How to play the game
Press ▲/▼ and the objects will move from left to right. Press ▶to increase the speed of the objects (now descending
in high speed).
3. Exit the game
Long press the MENU-button to exit the game and return to the main menu.
SETTINGS
In the main menu, select the menu-item “Settings”. Short press the MENU-button to enter this menu. Short press ▲/▼ to
select a submenu and then short press the MENU-button to enter the selected submenu.
Choose between the following submenus:
Music, Radio, Record, Display, Auto Play Set, System, Power Off Time, Default Set
Please note: In this menu you only need to press ◀to return to the previous menu.
1. Music
Short press ▲/▼ to go to the submenu-item “Music”. Short press the MENU-button to enter the Music-menu.
In this submenu, you can select one of the following options: Repeat Mode, Play Mode, EQ select, User EQ Set..
Go to one of the four options by pressing ▲/▼. Short press the MENU-button to enter the chosen option.
_Repeat Mode
Here, you can select between: Once, Repeat One, Folder Once, Folder Repeat, All Once, All Repeat, Intro.
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.

_Play Mode
Here, you can choose between: Order, Shuffle.
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
_EQ Select
Here, you can choose between: Normal, 3D, Rock, Pop, Classic, Bass, Jazz, User EQ.
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
_User EQ Set
Here, there are five kinds of frequencies and every frequency has seven levels for the user to adjust.
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
2. Radio
Short press ▲/▼ and go to the submenu-item “Radio”. Short press the MENU-button to enter the Radio-menu.
There are two options for you to select: Stereo Switch, FM Region.
Short press ▲/▼ to select one option and short press the MENU-button to enter the chosen option.
Short press ▲/▼ again to select the desired setting, then short press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the
setting.
_Stereo SW
There are two options: on/off
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
_FM Region
There are four options: China, Europe, Japan, USA
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
3. Record
Short press ▲/▼ and go to the submenu-item “Record”. Short press the MENU-button to enter the Recording-menu.
There are two options: REC Quality, REC Volume.
Short press ▲/▼ to select one option and short press the MENU-button to enter the chosen option.
Short press ▲/▼ again to select the desired setting, then short press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the
setting.
_REC Quality
Choose between two options: High Quality, General Quality
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
_REC Volume
There are five options: +1, +2, +3, +4, +5
The higher the level, the louder the recording-volume.
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
4. Display
Short press ▲/▼ and go to the submenu-item “Display”. Short press the MENU-button to enter the Display-menu.
There are three options: BLight Time (Backlight time), Lum, BLight Mode (Backlight mode).
Short press ▲/▼ to select one option and short press the MENU-button to enter the chosen option.
After entering one of the three options, short press ▲/▼ to select the desired setting, then short press the MENU-button for
confirmation and to save the setting.
_BLight Time
There are six options to choose from: 5 s, 10 s, 15 s, 20 s, 30 s, Always On
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.

_Lum
There are five options to choose from: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
The higher the level, the brighter it is.
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
_BLight Mode
There are two options to choose from: Normal, Power Save
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
5. Auto Play Set
Short press ▲/▼ and go to the submenu-item “Auto Play Set”. Short press the MENU-button to enter this menu.
Choose between: Text, Jpeg
Short press ▲/▼ to select one option and short press the MENU-button to enter the chosen option.
Short press ▲/▼ again to select your desired setting, then short press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the
setting.
_Text
There are the following five options: 1 s, 2 s, 3 s, 4 s, 5 s
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
_Jpeg
There are the following five options: 1 s, 2 s, 3 s, 4 s, 5 s
Choose your desired setting and then press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
6. System
Short press ▲/▼ and go to the submenu-item “System”. Short press the MENU-button to enter the System-menu.
There are three options: Language, About, Upgrade .
Short press ▲/▼ to select one option and short press the MENU-button to enter the chosen option. Short press ◀to return
to the main menu. After entering one of the three options, short press ▲/▼ again to select your desired setting, then short
press the MENU-button for confirmation and to save the setting.
_Language
Choose your desired language: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Dutch.
_About
The following information is displayed:
Ver (current software-version), Date, Flash Mem (memory capacity), Card Mem (card capacity).
This information is to read only. Short press the MENU-button to exit.
_Upgrade (Firmware upgrade)
After entering this option, a dialog box will open. Short press ◀/▶ to select “Yes” or “No”. Short press the MENU-button to
confirm your choice. If you chose “Yes”, the upgrading process will start.
7. PowerOff Time
Short press ▲/▼ and go to the submenu-item “PowerOff Time”. Short press the MENU-button to enter the Power Off-menu.
In this menu, there are six options for you to select: OFF, 10Minute, 15Minute, 30Minute, 60Minute,120Minute
After entering this submenu, short press ▲/▼ to select your desired setting, then short press the MENU-button for
confirmation and to save the setting.
8. Default Set

Short press ▲/▼ and go to the submenu-item “Default Set”. Short press the MENU-button to enter this submenu-item. After
entering this submenu-item, a dialog box will open. Short press ◀/▶ to select “Yes” or “No”. Short press the MENU-button to
confirm your choice. If you chose “Yes”, the system will go back to the default settings.
DRM9
Warning: Download operation of WMA music with DRM protection to MP4-player
For Windows 98SE / Windows ME / Windows 2000/ Windows XP, WMA music with DRM should be transferred with the
Windows Media Player version 9.0.
If you use other download operations, the MP4-player probably can not read the WMA music with DRM file.
Operation introduction:
For Windows 98SE / Windows ME / Windows 2000 / Windows XP, user should upgrade the Windows Media Player to the
version 9.0.
Windows Media Player 9.0 version : (Windows 98SE / Windows ME / Windows 2000 / Windows XP)
1) Connect your MP4-player to a PC.
2) Open Windows Media Player 9.0.
3) In the Windows Media Player 9.0, open the desired WMA music with DRM. The system will request you to download the
license, if you do not download the WMA music with DRM properly from the website.
In this case, you need to download the license from the music publisher, according to the instructions of the Microsoft
website.
4) In the opening windows, click “File ” →“Copy” →“Copy to Portable Device”.
5) In the opening window, choose the desired WMA music with DRM as step 2) and choose “Removable Disk”.
6) Then click on “Copy ” to transfer the WMA music with DRM to your MP4-player.
7) Safely remove your MP4-player from the PC.
USB Driver Installation
Note:
Please remove the MP4-player from the computer when you install the Win98 driver for the operating system Windows 98se.
1. Install the Win98 driver for computers with the operating system windows 98/se.
(1) Put the driver CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
(2) Double click on the Win98 driver to start the setup.
(3) Click on “Setup” to install the program.

4) Click on “OK” and the computer will be restarted.
(5) After the computer is restarted, connect your MP4-player to the computer, and then the driver is installed in your player
automatically.
2. Format the MP4-player
The MP4-player has the FAT 32 format. If you wish to format the player, right click on removable disk and choose the format.
Then click on “Start” to format the player.
Making video files
In order to play video files on this MP4-player, you must change the video files into MTV video files.
AVI is the most popular video format for portable players, and it is the most popular format in the network. The video file
adopts XviD/DivX coded format. The video has a high quality (nothing less than files in WMV or RMVB format) and the file is
small.
Supports avi, mpg, mpeg, rm, rmvb, wmv, dat. Changes to AVI format at high speed and high quality.
System requirements:
CPU: Intel or AMD kernel
Intel requires at least Intel Pentium 3 or above, including Intel Celeron series
Operation:
- Run the video conversion tool on the included CD, click and install the AV Converter V1.0
- After installation, please open the tool or click on the desktop: Start/Program/A Converter/ AVConverter V1.0/send to the
desktop shortcut mode.
Operation steps:
_ Select the video file source, click on “source file” on the right side of the conversion tool and then select the MTV to be
transformed.
_ Select the export file path, click on “export file path” on the right side of the conversion tool. (Suppose as disk D)
_ Select the quality and the high/width.
_ After various parameters are established, please click on "start to transform”.
After the transformation progress reaches 100%, it will be displayed, that the transformation has been completed and it is
indicated, if the video transformation was successful. The file, which has been transformed, has to be transferred to the
portable media player via USB, then you can start to watch the video.
