Safety
Ensure that you have read and understood:

1. Keep thework areatidy.
- Cluttered and disorganised work areas pose anaccidentrisk.
2. Thework environment.
- Do not expose theproduct torain.
- Do not use theproduct in damp or wetareas.
- Make sure that thework area is well illuminated.
- Do not use theproduct in areas where combustible gases or liquids are stored
orused.
3. Guard against electric shocks.
- Avoid physical contact with earthed objects such as water pipes, radiators and
cookers.
4. Keep other people at asafe distance.
- Never permit persons, especially children, not involved in thework to touch
theproduct or its power supply cables. Keepunauthorised persons away from
theworkarea.
5. Storing theproduct.
- Products that are not in use should be kept locked away in adry place out of
children’sreach.
6. Do not overload theproduct.
- Thework will be performed better and more safely if theproduct is not overloaded.
7. Wear suitable clothing.
- Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery; they could be caught in movingparts.
- Wear non-slip footwear when working outdoors.
- Wear ahairnet or similar if you have longhair.
8. Use personal protective equipment.
- Wear eye protection.
- Wear arespirator or dust mask if theoperation will generate agreat deal ofdust.

9. Make sure that themains lead is not damaged.
- Do not pull or tug themains lead when unplugging theproduct, grip and pull
theplug itself. Keepthemains lead away from heat, oil and sharpedges.
10. Take good care of theproduct.
- Make sure that theproduct is clean and free from contaminants.
- Follow all guidelines concerning care, maintenance and storage.
- Check theproduct’s mains lead regularly. Ifthemains lead is damaged in any
way, it must be replaced by aqualified electrician.
- Inspect any extension leads regularly. Replace cables if they are damaged in
anyway.
- Keep thehandles dry, clean and free of oil and grease.
11. Always disconnect theproduct from themains.
- Disconnect theproduct from themains whenever it is not in use, before service
and maintenance and whenever switching accessories.
12. Avoid unintentional starting.
- Make sure that thepower switch is set to OFF before connecting theproduct
to themains.
13. Use theright kind of extensionlead.
- If you use theproduct outdoors, only use extension cables, which are clearly
labelled as designed for outdooruse.
14. Remain attentive.
- Pay attention to what you aredoing. Useyour common sense and never
operate theproduct when tired, sick or under theinfluence of medicine,
alcoholor narcotics.
15. Check that theproduct is undamaged.
- Before using theproduct, make sure that it functions normally as described in
this instruction manual.
- Make sure that any moving parts are intact, properly fitted and rotate freely.
- Damaged safety devices must be replaced by authorised service personnel
unless otherwise specified in this instruction manual.
- Damaged switches must be replaced by aqualified electrician.
- Never use theproduct if it cannot be switched on and off using its power switch.
16. Do not use any accessories other than those mentioned in this
instruction manual or recommended by themanufacturer or retailer.

- This product conforms to relevant safety regulations. Repairs must only be

- If themains lead is damaged in any way, it must be replaced by aqualified
electrician.

Risk of explosion
• Never use thecompressor in areas where flammable liquids/materials or gases
(petrol, solvents, gas cylinders,etc.) are stored orused.
• Never use theplug to turn thecompressor on or off, always use thepower switch.
• Always unplug themains lead and empty thepressure tank of air before servicing
or repairing thecompressor.
• Always unplug themains lead and empty thepressure tank of air before moving
thecompressor.
• Make sure that themains lead does not come into contact with heat, oil, or
sharpedges.
• Never move thecompressor around by pulling themains lead or airhoses.
Thecompressor must only be moved using thehandle.
• Make sure that any air hoses and pneumatic tools connected to thecompressor
are rated to withstand thepressure generated by thecompressor and that they are
connected correctly.
• Thecompressor is only intended for use in well-ventilated areas in temperatures
between 5–40°C.
• Never expose thecompressor to water or other liquids.

• Never use thecompressor if thepressure tank has been damaged in anyway.
• Make sure that all air hoses are intact and dimensioned for thecapacity of the
compressor.
• Never attempt to repair damaged air hoses, always replacethem.
• Never move or transport thecompressor when thepressure tank is under pressure.
• Never disconnect any connectors when thepressure tank is under pressure.
• Never tamper with or modify thepressure tank or any other part of
thecompressor.
• Never point theair hose nozzle or attached tools at other people orpets.
• Never use compressed air to clean work wear worn by you or anyoneelse.
• Never insert fingers or foreign objects into thehousing of thecompressor.
Dangerous voltage
• Thecompressor must only be connected to anearthed 230 V, 50/60 Hz mains
outlet protected by a30 mA residual current device (RCD).
• Always connect theplug to aneasily accessible mains outlet so that it can quickly
be unplugged should afaultoccur.
Risk ofburns
• Certain parts of thecompressor can become hot duringuse. Touchonly
thehandle and thepower switch when using thecompressor.

• Place thecompressor on aneasily accessible, dry, firm and level surface. Donot
place thecompressor on thevery edge of asurface.
• Make sure that thecompressor is sufficiently ventilated. Placeit at least 1m from
nearby surfaces.
• Place thecompressor so that it cannot move while beingused.
• Always place thecompressor on its own feet when beingused.
• Never place thecompressor on or near hot surfaces.
• This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) whose
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
prevents them from using the product safely without supervision or instruction.

Product description
Thecompressor pump compresses theair and discharges it into thepressuretank.
Whentheair pressure in thetank reaches max, apressure switch switches off
themotor driving thecompressor. Asafety valve releases theair in thepressure tank if
thepressure switch fails to turn themotoroff.
Thecompressor is oil-free, which means that it is intended for intermittent
operation. Thismeans that is must only be used to drive smaller pneumatic tools, such
as nail guns, to inflate smaller items, such as footballs, or to drive apaint sprayer, such
as anairbrush. Itis not intended to inflate large objects, such as pools and large air
mattresses, where it needs to operate for along time (over 120 seconds).

Instructions for use
Remember that thecompressor is intended for intermittent operation. Referto
thesection Product description.
1. Make sure that thepower switch (4) is set to theOFF position.
2. Plug themains lead into anearthed mains outlet.
3. Connect thedesired pneumatic accessory to theair outlet (8).
4. Set thepower switch to theON position.
5. Set thedesired working pressure using theknob (9).
After use
Depressurise thetank by pulling out thesafety valve before disconnecting
theattached accessory.
1. Turn off thecompressor and pull out theplug from themains outlet.
2. Depressurise thecompressor by pulling out thesafetyvalve.
3. Disconnect theattached accessory and wind themains lead around theholders (6).
Care and maintenance
• Unplug themains lead from themains outlet. Depressurise thecompressor by
pulling out thesafety valve and letting it cool down completely.
• Clean thecompressor using adampcloth. Useonly mild cleaning agents, never
solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Check thesafety valve at regular intervals by pulling thespring-loadedring.
Ifthesafety valve is working properly (and thepressure tank is under pressure),
airshould seep out through thesafetyvalve.
• Under no circumstances may thesafety valve be tampered with or blocked.
• Perform avisual inspection at least once ayear to check that theinside and
outside of thepressure tank is free of corrosion. Underno circumstances must
thewall thickness of thepressure tank be less than 2mm.
• Make it ahabit to open thedrain tap regularly to release any trapped condensation
in thepressuretank. Depressurise thecompressor by pulling out thesafety valve
and letting it cool down completely before opening thedraintap.
• If thecompressor is not to be used for anextended period, unplug it from
themains, depressurise thetank by pulling out thesafety valve and drain thetank
using thedrain valve (11).

Troubleshooting guide
Thecompressor will
not start/shuts down
when inuse.
• Is theplug properly connected to themains outlet?
• Is themains outletlive?
• Theambient temperature is toolow. Thecompressor is
not intended for use at temperatures below 5°C.
• Themotor has overheated and theoverheating
protection has been triggered. Letthecompressor
cooldown before attempting to start itagain.
Thecompressor
starts but no pressure
buildsup.
• Check that thedrain valve (11) is closed.
• Check that there are no leaks from theattached air
hoses and accessories.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of
with general householdwaste. Thisapplies throughout theentire EU.
Inorder to prevent any harm to theenvironment or health hazards
caused by incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed in
for recycling so that thematerial can be disposed of in aresponsible
manner. Whenrecycling theproduct, take it to your local collection
facility or contact theplace of purchase. Theywill ensure that
theproduct is disposed of in anenvironmentally sound manner.
