curate advice from your Coemar service centre. Following the instructions and procedures outlined in this manual
will ensure the maximum eciency of this product for years to come.
1. Packaging and transportation
1.1 Packaging
Open the packaging and make sure that no part of the equipment has suered any damage during the trans-
portation. In case of damage to the fixture, contact your courier and your supplier immediately by telephone,
fax or e-mail, and inform them you will formally notify them in writing through registered letter.

Make sure the packaging contains:

2.1 Important Safety information
Fire prevention:
1. Never locate the fixture on any flammable surface.
2. Minimum distance from flammable materials: 0,5 m.
3. Minimum distance from the closet illuminable surface: 0,5 m.
4. Replace any blown or damaged fuse only with those of identical values.
Refer to the schematic diagram if there is any doubt.
5. Connect the projector, where the RegoBox 5CH DMX512 is installed, to mains power
protected by a thermal magnetic circuit breaker.
Prevention from electric shock:
1. Presence of high voltage inside of the fixture. Insulate the fixture from mains supply be-
fore opening or performing any function which involves touching the inside of the fixture,
including lamp replacement.
2. For the connection to the mains, adhere strictly to the guidelines outlined in this manual.
1.2 Transportation
The RegoBox 5CH DMX512 must be transported exclusively in its original packaging.

3. The level of technology of RegoBox 5CH DMX512 requires the use of specialized person-
nel for all service applications; refer all work to your authorised Coemar service centre.
4. A good earth connection is essential for the proper functioning of the projector. Never
connect the fixture if there is no earth connection.
5. Main cables must not come into contact with other cables.
6. Do not operate the projector with wet hands or in an area where water is present.
7. The fixture must never be located in an exposed position, or in areas of extreme humidity.
Safety:
1. The external surfaces of the unit, at various points, may reach 60°C. Do not handle the
device for at least 10 minutes after the LED turning o.
2. Never install the fixture in an enclosed area lacking sucient air flow; the room tempera-
ture must not exceed 45°C.
3. The projector contains electronic and electrical components which must under no circum-
stances be in contact with water, oil or any other liquid. Failure to do so will compromise the
proper functioning of the projector.
2.2 Warranty conditions
1. The fixture is under warranty for 36 months from the purchase date against factory defections.
2. Damage ought to unskillfulness, inappropriate use, or lack of suggested maintenance are excluded from the
warranty.
3. Warranty expires when the projector is opened by unauthorized personnel.
4. Warranty doesn’t include the replacement of the fixture.
5. Serial number and model of the fixture are necessary to retrieve informations and assistance from the
dealer.

5. Operations
5.1 Buttons introduction
Up, Down button is for menu selection. After power on the decoder, if keep on clicking Up button, you will find
below menu on display:
A.XXX Means DMX address factory defaults setting is 001.
CH.00 Means DMX channels quantity factory defaults setting is Ch05
BT.XX Means Bit (8bit or 16bit). factory defaults setting is 16bit
PF.xx Means output PWM frequency factory defaults setting is 1K HZ
9A.XX Means output dimming curve gamma value, factory defaults setting is ga 1.5
DP.XX Means Decoding mode, factory defaults setting is dp1.1
By holding button Back + Enter together at the same time over 5 seconds until the display go o, it will restore
default settings .
1. DMX address setting: select menu A.XXX click button “Enter”, display flashes, then click or hold button “Up” /
“Down” to set DMX address (click is slow, hold is fast.), then click button“Back” to confirm.
2. DMX channel quantity setting: Select menu CH.XX click button “Enter”, display flashes, then click button “Up”
/ “Down” to set DMX channel quantity , then click button“Back” to confirm. For example the DMX address is
already set 001.
CH01 = 1 DMX address for all the output channels, which are all address 001.
CH02 = 2 DMX addresses , output 1&3 is address 001, output 2,4&5 is address 002
CH03 = 3 DMX addresses, output 1, 2 is address 001,002, output 3,4&5 is address 003
CH04 = 4 DMX addresses, output 1,2,3 is address 001,002,003, output 4&5 is address 004
CH05 = 5 DMX addresses, output 1,2,3,4,5 is address 001,002,003,004,005
3. PWM output resolution Bit setting: select menu BT.XX click button “Enter”,display flashes, then click button
“Up” / “Down” to choose 08 or 16 bit, then click button“Back” to confirm output PWM frequency setting:
4. Output PWM frequency setting: select menu PF.XX click button “Enter”, display flashes,then click button “Up” /
“Down”to choose 00~09, then click button“Back” to confirm. 00=500HZ, 01=1kHZ, 02=2kHZ.....09=9kHZ.
5. Output dimming curve gamma value setting: select menu 9A.XX click button “Enter”, display flashes, then click
or hold button “Up” / “Down” to choose 0.1~9.9, then click button“Back” to confirm.
6. DMX decoding mode setting: select menu DP.XX click button “Enter”, display flashes, then click or hold button
“Up” / “Down” to choose the decoding mode, then click button“Back” to confirm.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Periodic cleaning
Cleaning of the unit
Use a soft brush or a source of compressed air to remove dust. For the cleaning of the housing use a soft cloth.
Check that the fan and heat exchanger are perfectly clean.
7.2 Periodic controls
Mechanical components
Check the correct working of the mechanical parts and, if needed, replace them. Make sure the projector is not
mechanically damaged. If necessary, replace the worn parts.
The following list shows common issues that may be easily solved. If issues persist, the unit must be repaired by
qualified personnel or just contact your Coemar service near you.

• Make sure the power cable is plugged in or test the input voltage;

DMX signal may not reach RegoBox 5CH DMX512:
• Inspect the cable connection, correct poor connections or
inecient repair or replace damaged cables;Check DMX address of
the unit.
