the operating instructions and the applicable regulations
For safety reasons, children and adolescents under the age
of 16 as well as persons who have not familiarised them-
selves with this operang manual may not use this product.
Persons with restricted physical or mental abilies may
only use the product if supervised or instructed by a com-
petent person.
Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they
do not play with the product.
Never use the device if you are red or ill or under the in-
uence of alcohol, drugs or medicaon.
Do not use in freezing condions. Freezing water will de-
stroy the device.
Only connect the supply hose to the provided connecon,
not to the water outlet!
Only intended to be used with the suitable hose couplings
with ¾“ thread.
Avoid tensile loads: Do not pull at the connected hose.
The Collomix AQiX water dosing system is intended for use
by professionals or trained personnel on construcon sites
for the precise addion of water for mixing building chem-
ical products (such as mortar, plaster, screed, concrete, ll-
ers and the like).
It is used to precisely meter amounts of water.
The water dosing system may only be used with clear
freshwater at a water temperature of up to 40°C.
The Collomix AQiX water dosing system is not designed for
industrial use.
It is not permied to use the meter with salt water, chem-
icals, foodstus, spirits, highly ammable and explosive
substances as well as compressed air. Using these sub-
stances may destroy the device.
The operang temperature must be between +5°C and
+50°C. Do not expose the device to direct sunlight for
longer periods of me.
The water pressure in the line must be between at least 2
and a maximum of 6 bar so that the device works awlessly.
Please note that this device is not a calibrated meter.
Fluctuaons can be caused by factors such as varying
water pressure, etc.
You have purchased the new AQiX water dosing system.
Please note that this is a meter and it should be handled
with care. These instrucons contain important and useful
informaon for how you should use the device. Please read
the instrucons carefully.

Assembly/commissioning
The AQiX water dosing system is set to the unit of “litres”
ex works.
The device is delivered with a standard ½“ hose connec-
on. This can be unscrewed and replaced with a dierent
tap connecon, such as with a bayonet coupling.
Standard hose couplings with 1/2“ or 3/4“ hose connecon
can be used as a quick-release or bayonet coupling.
Connect the water hose to the meter. The water hose may
not be pressurised.
Only connect the hose to the hose coupling. No hose may
be connected to the water outlet (7).
Aer every connecon made to the water hose, rst make
sure that the air can escape from the device.
• Press the “START/PAUSE” (12) buon to switch on the
device.
• Set the display to “0” with the “0.00 - Man.” (10) buon.
• Keep holding the “START/PAUSE” (12) buon unl the
water ows out without any interrupon.
Press the "START/PAUSE” (12) buon to start the metering.
You can interrupt the metering process. Press the "START/
PAUSE” buon to do this. Pressing the buon again starts
the metering process where it was interrupted.
Frequently used metering quanes can be saved by press-
ing the “M1” / "M2” (8+9) buons. Set the desired quanty
value with the “+” and “-” buon. Then hold “M1” / “M2”
for 2 seconds unl the value in the display ashes. Press
“M1” / "M2” to call up the stored value. It will appear in
the display
Press the “Man/0.00” buon (10). Then press “START/
PAUSE” (12). The water will run for as long as you hold
down the buon. The dispensed quanty of water is
shown in the display.
The water dosing system can be used with three dierent
units of measure: Litres, quarts and US gallons.
To switch between them, hold the “Man/0.00” buon for
5 seconds unl 0_ _ appears in the display. Set the desired
number for the respecve unit of measure using “+” and
“-”. Conrm each digit with the “START/PAUSE” buon. Fi-
nally press Play twice. The device switches o and changes
the mode.
Value 100 = litres | 200 = quarts | 300 = gallons
You can hold the device in your hand for metering or hang
it on the mixing bucket or on the mixing bucket of a mixer.
The device is hung between the water outlet (7) and the
retaining bracket (6)
The AQiX water dosing system is switched on using the
“START/PAUSE” (12) buon. The unit rst appears in the
display and then the last set quanty.
Adjust the metering quanty using both keys (11) “+”
and “-”. The water quanty can be set in increments of
0.1 litres. Keep the buon depressed to advance quickly.

Decommissioning
Turn o the water supply at the water tap.
Completely empty the device and press the "START/PAUSE”
buon.
Disconnect the water hose. Shake out the AQiX.
The product must be stored so it cannot be accessed by
children.
Store the water dosing system in a dry, closed and frost-
proof locaon, ideally in the case it comes in.

Manual operaon
The device is operated by two AA baeries.
For safety reasons, only 2 x AA / IEC LR6 1.5V baeries
(alkaline manganese) may be used.
The device may not be operated with rechargeable AA
baeries.
Disposalaccording to EU directive 2002/96/EC
Do not dispose of electronic items together with house-
hold waste.
The device, batteries and packaging should be introduced
into an environmentally friendly recycling system.
Dispose of the product through your
local recycling collection point
Return used batteries to the point of sale or
dispose of them through your local waste dis-
posal point. Only dispose of the battery in the
discharged state.
Warranty
Service address
The manufacturer offers a product warranty within the
scope of the delivery terms and in accordance with legal/
country-specific regulations. Please include your payment
receipt or delivery note with any warranty claims.
Please return the device to us if you detect any irregu-
larities. Complaints/claims can only be considered if the
device is delivered to the Collomix Service department in
a complete and undismantled state.
Any damage resulting from normal wear, overload,
improper handling, non-approved accessories or insuf-
ficient maintenance shall be exempt from the warranty.
Any repairs carried out by third parties shall release us
from any warranty obligation.
Any structural or functional changes to the device not
authorised by us shall result in the invalidation of the war-
ranty as well as the declaration of conformity.

Care and maintenance
Keep the device clean and remove any dirt immediately.
Clean the device with a damp cloth and a mild cleaning detergent (soap). Do not use any
cleaning agents containing solvents.
To change the baeries, open the baery compartment (3) cover using a screwdriver.
Remove the old baeries.
Insert the new baeries (AA) in the baery compartment according to the labelling.
Remove the rubber seal from the cover and clean it. Do not damage the seal. We recom-
mend lubricang the seal with silicone grease.
Reinsert the rubber seal into the groove of the cover, ensuring the seal ts exactly.
Before screwing the cover back on, make sure that the rubber seal is not crushed. You can
tell that a seal is not properly seated as the gap in the cover is not parallel.
Place the cover so that it is level and screw it back into place with the 3 screws.
If the seals are not inserted correctly, this may impair the leak-ghtness of the device. Do
not reuse damaged seals.
Replacing the hose
Loosen by turning counter-clockwise
Place the new hose coupling with seal on the thread and ghten in the clockwise direcon.
There is a parculate screen in the water supply (5) that holds back larger parcles in the
supply water. It is recommended to clean the screen from me to me.
Unscrew the hose connecon as described above.
Use pliers to grab the screen at the protruding screen clip and pull it out.
Clean the screen under owing water and re-insert it.
Screw the hose connecon back on.
There is also a screen before the water outlet (7). If the amount of water decreases signif-
icantly, this needs to be cleaned.
The hose must be connected to the water outlet only for this reason and this reason only.
At the same me, the second screen at the water supply (5) must be removed (see above).
Then ush the device backwards to remove the deposits.
Then disconnect the hose and re-insert the screen at the water supply.
