DESCRIPTION
Commodore is a student 9 cell ram-air canopy.
Commodore s a s a low aspect rat o 9 -cell ram-a r canopy des gned for skyd ves at the max ex t
speed 240km/t and max h ght 6000m above the sea level.
Due to the spec f c des gn, Commodore has cons stently stable open ngs and s very pred ctable!
It has on-head ng performance, cons stent deployment alt tude and nflat on t me, excellent speed
range, super or gl de n full fl ght wh le stable and controllable n steep deep brake fl ght.
Commodore has good flare power from full fl ght and also from deep brakes and performs flat turns
eff c ently w thout d v ng.
Commodore top sk n and the a rfo l sect on s produced of ZP fabr c, the bottom sk n s manufactured
from F-111 fabr c. Th s mproves suff c ently the canopy l ve-t me and makes pack ng easy.
Recommended w ng load ng for the Commodore s between 0.65 - 0,9 lbs/sqft.
Commodore s ava lable n s x prec sely scaled s zes: 190, 210, 230, 250, 160, 270 and 290 sq.ft. The
canopy s equ pped w th Dacron-525 l nes, Dacron-1000 steer ng l nes, standard brake sett ngs, sl der
w th sta nless grommets and the set of 4 soft l nks. Recommended pack ng nethod — Propack.

OPERATION
The canopy should be nspected and assembled only by the cert f ed r gger.
Before assembl ng the canopy to your system, nspect the canopy, l nes and soft l nks.
Make sure, that part cular canopy can be used w th the g ven conta ner and deployment system.
Recommended assembly sequence:
1. Lay down conta ner w th the r sers next to the canopy. Place the Canopy w th the bottom sk n
– up, fac ng conta ner w th ts lead ng edge.
2. Br ng the pack of l nes to the conta ner and spread the l nes stra ght w th the steer ng l nes on
top.
3. F x each group of l nes to the respect ve r ser w th the soft l nk. Do not t ghten the connectors
up at th s moment.
4. Ensure the correct assembl ng of the sl der – the re nforcement tape should be fac ng the
canopy should be fac ng the tra l ng edge of the canopy.
5. Spread the steer ng l nes so that they pass d rectly from the tra l ng edge of the canopy
through the sl der grommets and gu d ng r ngs of the back r sers w thout tw st ng the other
l nes.
6. Connect the toggles to the steer ng l nes (please refer to the manufacturer’s manual of your
conta ner).

7. Recheck the order of l nes connect on and the or entat on of the canopy. Make sure that after
the open ng canopy w ll fly forward! F x errors f any.
8. T ght up the soft l nks* and f x them ns de the r sers to the spec al tapes w th the thread (or
t ght up the rap d-l nks w th help of the wrench and cover them w th protect ve sl der bumpers.)
* Soft l nks setup (sh pped w th the Skylark® canop es):
Make the f rst loop, lett ng the end of the soft l nk through the r ser and then through the respect ve
l nes group.
A. Make the second loop n the same order
B. Let the end of the soft l nk under ts restr ct ve tab and then put t on ts top.
C. Rotate the soft l nk to h de ts tab ns de the r ser.

PACKING
Before pack ng your canopy, thoroughly nspect upper and lower surface, r bs, seams on the sk n and
on the l nes, nspect l nes, sl der and grommets. In case you detect any damage – .e. tears, burns,
worn-out, rusty or ncorrectly assembled parts, please do the necessary ma ntenance on the canopy
f rst.
Pack ng w th the ProPack:
1. Stretch the r g on the flat, level surface and f x the conta ner from the movement
2. Set the deployment brakes accord ng to the nstruct ons of your conta ner's manufacturer
3. Check that sl der s not collapsed and pull tubs are h dden and not entangled w th the l nes
(p c. 1)
4. Take l nes where they are attached to the r sers and d v de them by the groups (control l nes,
rear r sers group, front r sers group). Walk to the canopy wh le lett ng the l nes sl de between
your f ngers (p c. 2)
5. Put the canopy on your shoulder so that t freely hangs and keeps the l nes tense (move the
sl der beh nd your back at th s t me)
6. Stra ghten and flake 7 (or 9) a r ntakes (p c. 3)
7. Hold ng t ghtly the bundle, shake t well n order to stra ghten the folds (p c. 4)
8. Turn the canopy ta l-away and grasp the a r ntakes between your knees (be caut ous not to
rotate the canopy full turn)
9. Separate the groups of l nes АВ, ВС and СD on one s de of the canopy and stra ghten fabr c
between them (p c. 5 and 6)
10. Repeat the step 9 w th the other part of the canopy (p c. 7)
11. Stra ghten the sl der between 4 groups of l nes and move the grommets t ghtly to the sl der
stops (p c. 8)

12. Separate the control l nes, stra ghten the fabr c between them and turn them towards the
center of the canopy under the sl der (p c. 9 and 10)
13. Take the tra l ng edge of the canopy n your hand at central part (where the warn ng label s
attached) and put t on the l nes r ght below the sl der, press t hard along w th the l nes and the
sl der (p c. 11)
14. Stra ghten the ta l to the s des and coat w th t the canopy towards the nose so that the control
l nes stay at the center of the canopy (p c. 12)
15. Wh le hold ng the l nes and the sl der t ght, connect the ends of the tra l ng edge and roll the
ta l. Be caut ous not to capture nto the roll the other parts of the canopy left ns de. (p c. 13
and 14)
16. Keep eye on the sl der pos t on and l nes tense, sl ghtly sw ng the bundle, lay t down on the
floor and carefully squeeze the a r out (p c. 15)
17. Make an S-fold of the requ red s ze and push t nto the deployment bag.
18. Close the deployment bag and stow the l nes, leav ng 60 – 70 cm unstowed to prevent l ne
tw sts (p c. 18)

STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
STORAGE
Fabr c and other mater als, used n the canopy construct on are very sens t ve to the env ronmental
nfluence, espec ally to the UV rays. It s recommenced to use b g bag or other cover mater al to
protect the canopy from the d rect sunl ght on the ground.
When the canopy s not used, t should be stored n a dark dry place w th the temperature 15-30°С and
15-70% of hum d ty.
Canopy should also be kept away from:
- h gh temperatures
- ac ds and other chem cally aggress ve agents
- pests
- chloral
- smoke
TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE
Reparat on and ma ntenance of the canopy should be done only by the manufacturer or exper enced
r gger.
