
H550 Surface Mount Bracket
Quick Setup Guide
This Quick Setup Guide provides step-by-step instrucons on how to install
the H550 access point (AP) using the oponal surface mount bracket. The
H550 Surface Mount Bracket (Part # 902-0136-0000) is designed to mount
the H550 AP on a wall surface that does not have an in-wall cable roung
box.

Verify that all of the following items are included in the package. If any

•One H550 surface mount bracket
•Two torx mounng screws
•This Quick Setup Guide
Required Hardware and Tools
•One RUCKUS H550 wall switch AP
•A T8 Torx driver
•Customer-supplied mounng screws and plasc wall anchors
•An electric drill with drill bits
•A screwdriver with assorted bits
Mounng the AP with the Surface Mount Bracket
1. Use the surface mount bracket as a template to mark the locaons for
drill holes (four mounng hole locaons).

2. Drill holes of the appropriate size for the customer supplied mounng
screws and plasc wall anchors.
3. If you will be running the uplink Ethernet cable through the boom of
the surface bracket, remove one of the punch-out tabs at the boom
of the surface bracket.
4. Aach the bracket to the wall using the plasc wall anchors and
mounng screws.
5. Run the Ethernet uplink cable through the punch-out tab opening in
the boom of the surface bracket (or through the large hole in the
center of the surface bracket).
6. Remove the two torx screws from the sides of the H550.

7. Remove the at mounng bracket from the back of the AP. This
bracket will not be used when using the surface mount bracket.
