TOOLS REQUIRED:
Flatscrewdriver,wirecutter/stripper,awlorotherpointedtool

  Thefollowingprocedureisintendedtobeperformedbyaqualiedelectrician.Ifnotqualied,donotattempt 
  installation.Contactaqualiedelectrician.

  Theelectricalratingoftheseproductsis120-277VAC.

  Topreventwiringdamageorabrasiondonotexposewiringtoedgesofsheetmetalorothersharpobjects.

  Luminaireswiring,ballastsorotherelectricalpartsmaybedamagedwhendrillingforinstallationofLED
  reectorkithardware.Checkforenclosedwiringandcomponents.

  Onlythoseopenholesindicatedinthedrawingsmaybemadeoralteredasaresultofkitinstallation.
  Donotleaveanyotheropenholesinanenclosureofwiringofelectricalcomponents.

  Notfordirectreplacementofuorescentlamps.

  Donotusewheredirectlyexposedtowater.
TheRetrotKitisacceptedasacomponentofaluminairewherethesuitabilityofthecombinationshallbedeterminedbyCSA
orauthoritieshavingjurisdiction. 


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. VerifyelectricalpowertounitisOFF.
2. Removelenscovertoexposeluminairelampsandelectronics.Ifequippedwithretainingcables,allowtohang.
 Note:Toassistwithreassembly,donotfullyremovescrewsfromlenscover.
3. Removeuorescentlamps.
4. Removeallscrewsfromretainingreector;removereectorandsetaside.Saveallassociatedhardware.
Ballastandwiringshouldnowbeexposed.Ifnot,removethewiringcompartmentcover.Theremaybelockingtabsorscrews
holdingthewiringcompartmentinplace.Removeandsaveallassociatedhardwareforreassembly.
5. Locatepowersupplytoballast,disconnectandpullaparttoseparate.Cutdisconnectleadwirestoballastandremove.
 Stripbothleads3/8”andsetaside.(Youwillre-usewireddisconnectinstep8.)Cliptheballastoutputleadsascloseto
 theballastaspossible.Clipthelampleadsasclosetothelampholdersaspossible.(Lampholderswillbeforsupportonly.)
6. Selecttwoadjacentlampholdersnearesttopowersupplyleadsandremovetheselampholdersbydepressingretainingtabs
 whilepushingdown.
7. Removeallwiresfrombothlampholders.Useanawlorotherpointedtooltogentlydepressthecopperstripadjacenttothe
 leadwhilepullingontheleadwire.

8. Using18AWG,600V,105°TYPEAWM1orCSA-TEWNsolidconductorwire,re-wirelampholdersasshowninthewiring
 diagram,includingpowersupplyleadsfromStep5.Verifyallleadsareretainedinlampholderportswithagentlepull.
9. Installre-wiredlampholdersetonthesameside.Insertfromundersideofretainingplate.Pushtolockretainingtabs.
 Thisisnowthelinesideoftheluminaire.
10. Reconnectdisconnect,separatedinStep5.
11. IMPORTANT:Applysuppliedself-adhesivelabel“POWERTOTHISENDONLY”abovere-wiredlampholders.
 Labelmustbevisibleforlampinstallation.
12. Replacewiringcompartmentand/orreectorremovedinStep4.
13. IMPORTANT:Applysuppliedself-adhesivelabel“NOTICENOTFORUSEWITHFLUORESCENTLAMPS.
 OrderreplacementLED-T8lamps–800.526.3694”.
14. InstallLEDlampswithpowerinputasmarkedonlamp,matchedtolabeledlampholders.
15. Reinstalllenscover.
16. Restorepowertoxture.
Note:OriginalballastcircuitwillbedisabledinStep5.Lampholdersoriginallywiredtoballastwillalsobeelectricallydisabled,
usedonlytosupportlampswheninstalled.Ballastwithrelatedwiringmayremaininplace,electricallydisabled.
