2INSTALLATION
Install the IP Camera in 3 Steps
1. Use the included mounting template sheet to drill holes in the mounting surface.
2. Feed required cables through the installation surface and connect all required cables
to the camera.
3. Use the included Torx wrench to loosen the three screws on the dome cover and re-
move the dome cover from the camera body. Line up the camera body to the drilled
holes on the mounting surface and ax the camera to the mounting surface. Install
a MicroSD card inside the camera if desired and after positioning the lens module,
replace the dome cover and tighten the three screws.

How to connect and operate the camera via IE

Login Information

Download Plug-in
When prompted, download and run the WebClient ActiveX
control. If the prompt does not automatically appear, click
Download to manually open the ActiveX control.

Congure Camera
from Web
After installing the ActiveX control, use the default log-in
credentials to access the camera web interface and live
monitoring screen.
For security purposes, please navigate to the Cong tab, access
Advance Option > Account, and modify the default password.

How to modify the camera IP
While the default camera IP address is 192.168.1.10 and DHCP
is enabled by default, you may use the Device Manager software
tool to nd any CPL-MVIR-IP2M/2.8 cameras on the same
network.
1. Scan the QR Code above to access downloadable les for this camera.
Select and download DeviceManager.exe.
2. Install the Device Manager tool and open the program.
3. Click the IP Search button to nd all CPL-MVIR-IP2M/2.8(G) cameras on the same
network as the PC.
4. Select a camera to modify, input any desired IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway,
HTTP Port, and TCP Port settings, then click the Modify button. Use caution when
setting static IP addresses and conguring port numbers to prevent IP conicts.

7TROUBLESHOOTING
Common issues answered
Can’t nd the camera IP address using Device Manager tool or default IP address:
Make sure Ethernet and/or DC power cables are correctly connected to the camera.
Make sure the PoE switch or DC power source meets the camera power
requirements. If using PoE, ensure the PoE switch or other PoE power source is
powered on.
Make sure the PC is on the same network as the camera and ping the camera’s IP
address. On your PC, go to Start>Programs>Accessories >Command Prompt or
Run>cmd. Type ping then the camera local IP address and press Enter. If you get the
message “Request timed out,” the PC and camera are not on the same network or
the camera is not connected. The camera is connected if you receive replies.
The camera may be set for static IP mode using an incorrect IP address. DHCP is
enabled on the camera by default, which means it will automatically obtain an IP
address from your router. Reset the camera to factory default settings by removing
the camera cover and pressing the reset button for 5 seconds or more.
Can’t connect to the camera on a web browser using local IP address:
See steps above.
Verify the camera’s local IP address with the Device Manager tool
(see Section 6 above for more information).
Can’t connect to camera on a web browser using a DDNS address:
Port forwarding not set up. Make sure the HTTP port (default: 80) and Media port
(default: 34567) are forwarded on your router to the camera’s local IP address.
Multiple cameras are using the same port number to connect. Congure each
camera to use dierent ports and forward the new ports on your router.
Can’t connect to camera video on a web browser:
Ensure the WebClient ActiveX control has been installed and restart Internet Explorer
before attempting to reconnect to the camera.
Enable Compatibility Mode in Internet Explorer for the camera web address by
clicking Options > Compatibility View Settings > Add this website.
Video performs poorly on browser:
Insucient bandwidth available for high-quality stream 1.
Select stream 2 under Stream. Stream 2 provides a lower-resolution to conserve
bandwidth and improve performance on low-bandwidth connections.

Safety precautions
1. This installation should be performed by qualied service personnel and must abide
by all local codes.
2. Avoid installation on a surface subjected to frequent vibration or shocks.
3. Do not operate the camera beyond its specied temperature/humidity range or
power ratings.
4. If any damage or suspected damage occurs, shutdown the power source,
disconnect the camera, and contact your service provider.
5. Do not install the camera under unstable lighting conditions. Severe lighting
changes or ickering may cause the camera to improperly operate.
6. Never use the camera near a gas or oil leak.
7. Do not disassemble the camera.
8. Never install the camera directly facing a strong light source.
9. Ensure all removable covers are replaced to protect the inner components of the
camera.
10. Do not install near devices which emit a strong electromagnetic eld.
11. Only use a clean cloth for cleaning.
