1. Precaution
This manual is to instruct on the basic operation, installation and use of the CP-HSD20-AHD and CP-HSD30-AHD. It is recommended that even those experienced in analogue camera
installation read this document, this will ensure any warnings or precautions relevant to the product are met. This will result in the safe and consistent performance of the camera.
These safety and warning instructions contained with this document are intended to promote proper use of the CP-HSD20-AHD and CP-HSD30-AHD to reduce the possibility of accidents
and damage, therefore these instructions must be adhered to. Once this manual has been read, keep a copy safe so it can easily be referred to in the future.
• The supplier will not be held responsible for any damage caused by use of unauthorised parts or accessories or failure to comply with the instructions detailed in this manual.
• It is recommended that any individual not familiar with the installation of CCTV analogue camera device and/or this product seeks technical assistance and training before attempting
the installation and use of the CP-HSD20-AHD and CP-HSD30-AHD.
•If you feel the need to disassemble the product for functionality expansion or repair purposes, you must rst contact the supplier and seek professional assistance.
•The supplier and the user of this product needs to be aware that this product has been certied as being electromagnetically compatible for commercial use (under FCC regulations).
If this product has been sold or purchased unintentionally, please replace it with a consumer version.

1. Precaution
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK,
DO NOT REMOVE COVER (OR BACK). THERE ARE NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS WITHIN THIS CAMERA. REFER REPAIRS TO THE SUPPLIER.
WARNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. DO NOT OPEN.
Important Safeguards
1. Read Instructions
All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the appliance is in
operation.
2. Retain Instructions
The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.
3. Cleaning
Down power the product and remove power connector from the power source. To clean,
user a damp soft cloth. Do not use liquid aerosol cleaners.
4. Attachments
Do not use unauthorised part or accessories without the approval of the manufacturer, as
some additions may result in risk or  re, electric shock, personal injury or damage to the
product.
5. Water and/or Moisture
Ensure this product is not exposed to water or moisture. Do not pour water on or install
product humid environment.
6. Placing and Accessories
Do not install this camera on a wall or ceiling that does not have the structural integrity
to support the weight of the camera. The product could fall causing personal injury to
individuals nearby and serious damage to the product. The wall or ceiling installation
7. Power Sources
This equipment should be operated by the type of power labelled on the unit. If you are not
sure of the type of power, the camera requires 12V DC, 24V AC, POE++.
You may want to install a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) system for safe operation in
order to prevent damage caused by an unexpected power stoppage. Any questions
concerning UPS, consult a UPS retailer.
8. Power Cord
Do not apply the power to the camera before it is installed. This will prevent an electric
shock.
9. Lightning
While the product has TVS protection, it is recommended for additional protection during
electric or thunder storm, or if the product is unused for long periods of time, that the
power supply to the camera is disconnected. This will prevent the product in some cases
where the main power experiences a surge over the  uctuations of TVS. Alternatively a
surge protection device could be installed at the location where lightning is common.
10. Overloading
Do not connected too many devices to signal mains power outlets and/or extension
leads as this will increase the risk of electric shock and/or  re.
11. Objects and Liquids
Do not force foreign objects through openings in the product as they may touch
dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could cause a  re or electric shock.
12. Servicing
Do not attempt to service this equipment yourself. Refer all servicing to quali ed service
personnel.
13. When product needs to be serviced
Remove the mains power supply and contact a quali ed service personal when the
following has occurred:
A. When the power-supply cord or the plug has been damaged.
B. If liquid is spilled, or objects have hit the product.
C. If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
D. If the instructions have be followed and the camera is still not operational.
Do not attempt to repair the camera as this may result in further damage.
Please contact your supplier for professional advice.
E. If the product has been dropped or the housing is damaged.
F. When the user notices a distinct change in operation that is different from the norm.
14. Replacement Parts
When the product is repaired ensure that the parts replaced are authorised by the
manufacturer. Unauthorised parts increase the risk or malfunction,  re and electric shock.
15. After Service
After any repairs or servicing has been undertaken on the product, it must then be tested
by an authorised technician to perform safety checks to ensure the product operates
normally.
16. Field Installation
This installation should be made by a quali ed service person and should conform to all
local regulations.
While moving this product, be sure to move it with care. Following manual handling
guidelines in place and ensure that if the boxed products when carted do not fall, avoid
quick stops, excessive force and uneven surfaces as these may cause the cart to overturn or
the product to fall. Do not store this product in an enclosed space, ventilation is required to
prevent temperature increases what can cause malfunction or risk of fi re.

2. Product Features
Preset Function
Up to 255 sets of positional and zoom level information
can be stored as presets. These can be manually called
by the operator, automatically triggered by an alarm
input, or grouped to form a sequence of actions to run
automatically. Each preset can also be programmed with
a relay output alarm action to trigger when the preset is
called.
Scan Function
Scan is a useful feature when the operator needs to
‘patrol’ a perimeter. Any two presets can be chosen as the
starting and ending points. The scan function will smoothly
and accurately move from one end to the other and then
back again in a repeating sequence. The scan speed can
be adjusted and up to 8 scans can be dened. Each scan
can be titled with up to 10 characters so that zones can
easily be identied.
Pattern Tours
Any dome movement can be recorded and subsequently
played back as 8 separate pattern tours. These can be
played back individually or grouped to form a sequence
of tours.
Group Function
The group function is a powerful feature that allows the
operator to dene a sequence of speed dome actions to
form an automatic patrol sequence. Actions can include
presets, scans, and patterns. Up to 8 groups can be dened
and each group can have up to 10 actions, which repeat
indenitely until interrupted by the operator or an alarm
input. Specic parameters, such as preset speed, lasting
time, and action loop can also be congured.
Schedule Function
Up to 16 schedules can be dened and called within a
dened period. Schedules may contain presets, scan,
patterns, and groups. Up to 4 alarm outputs can be chosen
for 1 schedule and can be triggered when the schedule is
called.
Alarm Function
This speed dome has 8 alarm inputs and 4 alarm outputs.
Any alarm input can be set to call a predened preset,
scan, pattern or group. Any preset can be congured to
trigger any or all the alarm outputs. For example, a PIR
detector connected to alarm input 1 could call preset 7 to
view a scene while activating a device connected to the
alarm output relay.
IR Function
The IR function can be set to Auto, Manual, or Auto-Manual
modes. This speed dome has 9 IR LEDs in total, with 3 LEDs
each assigned to short, medium, and long distances. In
addition, the brightness of the IR LEDs can be adjusted as
needed.
On-Screen Display (OSD)
The operator can check if any or all the following
information is displayed on-screen during normal speed
dome operation: camera ID, PTZ info, action No., action
label, time, date, privacy mask, etc.
Privacy Mask Function
Up to 8 privacy masks can be dened. The image will move
along with the selected privacy zone. When the image is
zoomed in, the privacy mask will be zoomed in as well, but
the selected zone will always be within the privacy mask.
Park Function
The speed dome can be congured to run a specied
scan, pattern, group, or preset after a dened period of
inactivity.
Quick Install
Only three steps are needed to install the speed dome:
Push up, twist, and
fasten screws. The unique design enables easy transition
from HD Analogue to IP by simply replacing the inner box.
Up-the-Coax Control & RS485 Auto Protocol
Easily control the speed dome and congure the OSD
menu from a Concept Pro DVR with Up-the-Coax (UTC)
control via the Coaxitron protocol.
Alternatively, control the speed dome via RS485 with the
Auto Protocol feature. This allows the speed dome to
automatically set the RS485 protocol between Pelco-D
and Pelco-P depending upon the connected control
equipment.

3. Installation: Wall Mount & Pendant Mount
Installation Using Wall/Pendant Mount Bracket
1. Using the mount template, mark the holes on the wall/ceiling.
2. After drilling the holes, x the four anchor bolts into the holes.
3. After locating the wall/ceiling mount bracket on the anchor bolts properly, tighten the nuts on anchor bolts.

3. Installation: Assemble Camera
Inner Box and Wall Mount Bracket Cover Installation
1. Place the Inner Box into the Junction Box; the
positioning columns will automatically lock the
Inner Box in place.
2. Connect all cables to the Inner Box.
3. Cover the Junction Box and fasten the screws
to nish the bracket installation
1. Connect the securing lanyard onto the dome.
2. Connect the cables between the dome and
bracket.
3. Push the dome body up and twist right to lock
in place.
4. Fasten 3 restraining screws to complete instal-
lation.

Basic Speed Dome Camera Operation
Switch No. and keyboard controllers are recommended. Examples in the following pages
are based on commonly available control equipment. While the principles of operation are
the same, additional details may be conrmed with the control equipment provider.
Understanding the On Screen Display (OSD)
Switch No. 5:
ON: NTSC OFF: PAL
Switch No.6:
ON: 30FPS (The default position is ON).
Switch No.7:
ON: EX-SDI OFF: HD-SDI
Switch No.8: RS485 matching resistance
switch, the default position is OFF (the
matching resistance value is 120 Ω).

Note: ID 0 should not be used. Where multiple speed domes are connected,
a unique ID must be assigned to each one.

4. Keyboard Shortcuts of Speed Dome Operation
To program a preset position, move the
speed dome to the desired position and
zoom level and press:
SET - XXX - ENTER
Where XXX is a preset number between
1 & 255 (preset 95 and No.131~199 are
reserved and cannot be used).
Conrmation is displayed on the OSD]
To delete a preset position, press
CLEAR - XXX - ENTER
Where XXX is a preset number between 1
& 255 The preset position will be cleared
from the speed dome memory.
Once the pattern, scan functions, and groups have been programmed in the speed
dome setup menu, they can all be accessed directly from PTZ control equipment by using
the following sequences.
To start a PATTERN tour press:
PRESET - 13X - ENTER
Where Xis a PATTERN tour number between 1 & 8.
The selected PATTERN tour will run indenitely until manual input is performed by the oper-
ator or an alarm input is received.
To start a SCAN function press:
PRESET - 14X - ENTER
Where X is a SCAN function number between 1 & 8.
The selected SCAN function will run indenitely manual input is performed by the operator
or an alarm input is received.
3. To start a GROUP press:
PRESET - 15X - ENTER
Where X is a GROUP number between 1 & 8.
The selected GROUP will run indenitely until manual input is performed by the operator or
an alarm input is received.
To go to a preset position which has been
programmed, press
PRESET - XXX - ENTER
Where XXX is a preset number between
1 & 255 (preset 95 and No.131~199 are
reserved and cannot be used). The
speed dome moves to the desired preset
position. Conrmation and preset title (if
dened) is displayed on the OSD.
To re-programme a preset position, follow
the steps for programming a preset. It is
not necessary to delete the old preset
position rst

_LEVEL
The device self-test is displayed as shown. System informa-
tion will be displayed and “OK” appears when the self-test
passes.
The currently-selected item will be highlighted in yellow. The
previous level of selected items will be displayed in grey
The joystick can be used to select the OSD item by moving
left/right/up/down. Up/down is for parameter selection; right
is for saving parameters.
FOCUS MODE (AUTO/MANUAL/SEMIAUTO/ONE PUSH)
When AUTO is selected, the image will automatically focus.
When MANUAL is selected, the image will not focus
automatically; the operator will need to press “FAR/NEAR” buttons
to focus.
When SEMIAUTO is selected, the image will automatically focus and
the operator can also press “FAR/NEAR” buttons to focus. When ONE
PUSH is selected, the image will focus automatically only once when
zooming stops. The operator can also press “FAR/NEAR” to focus.
D-ZOOM (OFF/ON)
When D-ZOOM is OFF, zooming will be limited to the speed dome
optical zoom range. When D-ZOOM is ON, the operator can digitally
zoom in beyond the speed dome optical zoom range limitation.
WHITE BALANCE (AUTO/MANUAL/INDOOR/OUTDOOR)
Select AUTO, MANUAL, INDOOR, or OUTDOOR white balance ac-
tions depending upon the scene.
_RED ADJ (0-255)
_BLUE ADJ (0-255)
WHITE BALANCE can be adjusted only when set to MANUAL.
The operator can increase or reduce the proportion of red and blue
achieve the desired white balance levels/
DAY/NIGHT (AUTO/DAY/NIGHT)
When AUTO mode is selected, the speed dome will automatically
switch between Day and Night depending on light levels. Alterna-
tively, the speed dome can be set to DAY or NIGHT to always remain
in colour or B&W respectively.
AE MODE (AUTO/SHUT PRIOR/IRIS PRIOR/AGC PRIOR/MANUAL)
AE MODE options include AUTO, SHUT PRIOR, IRIS PRIOR, AGC PRIOR,
MANUAL. SHUT PRIOR, IRIS PRIOR and AGC
PRIOR is mainly used for elds with depth, like scenery, portrait or
macrophotography.
_SHUTTER LEVEL (1/60sec-1/30000sec/8x/4x/2x)
SHUTTER LEVEL RANGE can be set from (1/60sec-1/30000sec), 8x, 4x,
2x.
Shutter level can only be adjusted when AE MODE is set to SHUT
PRIOR.

_IRIS LEVEL (F2x/F28-F1.6)
IRIS LEVEL RANGE can be set from (F28-F1.6), F2x Iris level can only be
adjusted when AE MODE is set to IRIS PRIOR.
_AGC LEVEL (0-15)
AGC LEVEL RANGE can be set from (0-15). AGC level can only be
adjusted when AE MODE is set to AGC PRIOR.
BRIGHTNESS (0-14)
BRIGHTNESS is used for adjusting the image brightness and can be
adjusted in 0-14 grades.
BACKLIGHT (HLC ON/WDR ON/BLC ON/OFF)
Four backlight modes can be selected: HLC ON, WDR ON, BLC ON,
OFF.
Light intensity can be intelligently controlled under strict backlighting
conditions.
This function can help ensure a clear view of lit and backlit scenes.
_LEVEL
When BACKLIGHT is set to HLC ON, the HLC LEVEL can be set from
0-20.
When BACKLIGHT is set to WDR ON, the WDR LEVEL can be set to
LOW/MIDDLE/HIGH.
SENS-UP (0-6)
This function ensures a clearer image under low light conditions. The
level can be selected from 0-6.
FLICKERLESS (OFF/ON)
This function is similar to WDR in the way it reduces the amount of
natural light glare in indoor scenarios.
OFF: Disable FLICKERLESS function.
ON: Enable FLICKERLESS function.
SATURATION (0-14)
SATURATION is used for adjusting the image saturation. It can be
adjusted from 0-14

ZOOM SPEED (1-9)
The ZOOM SPEED can be adjusted in levels from 1-9.
DNR (LOW/MIDDLE/HIGH/OFF)
This adaptive lter digitally reduces noise caused by move-
ment. It is time-based and levels can be selected from OFF/
LOW/MIDDLE/HIGH.
SHADING (OFF/1%-100%)
Range: 1%-100%, OFF.
SHARPNESS (0-15)
SHARPNESS denes the clarity of the image borders. It can
be adjusted in grades from 0-15. The default value is 2.
Higher sharpness levels result in more image noise.
GAMMA (0.45/0.55/0.65/0.75)
This function is used for adjusting the image brightness.
Available parameters include: 0.45, 0.55, 0.65, 0.75.
DIS (OFF/10%/20%/30%)
This function is used for zooming in. Selected parameters
include: OFF, 10%, 20%, 30%.
_FILTER (LOW/MIDDLE/HIGH)
Selected patterns: LOW/MIDDLE/HIGH.
_AUTO C (HALF/FULL/OFF)
Special pattern. Selected in HALF, FULL, OFF.
ACE (OFF/LOW/MIDDLE/HIGH)
This function is used for adjusting the image brightness. Selected
parameters: OFF, LOW, MIDDLE, HIGH.
FREEZE (OFF/ON)
Toggle the FREEZE function to freezing the current image.
DEFOG (OFF/ON)
DEFOG function: AUTO/OFF/LOW/MIDDLE/HIGH
PTZ SETUP
Highlight to congure PTZ-related settings.
POWER UP ACTION (OFF/LAST ACT/PRESET/PATTERN/SWING/GROUP)
LAST ACT: The PTZ will move to the last action when re- started after
a power failure.
PRESET/PATTERN/SWING/GROUP:
When the PTZ is re- started, it will automatically call the selected
action.
OFF: The PTZ will not perform any action when powered up.
_ACTION NO.
Identify an action when POWER UP ACTION is set to PRESET/PATTERN/
SWING/GROUP.
AUTO FLIP (OFF/ON)
ON: The PTZ camera automatically ips 180°.

JOG SPEED refers to the operating speed of joystick control.
JOG DIRECTION (NORMAL/INVERSE)
When set to NORMAL, the PTZ direction is the same as where the
joystick moves.

ZOOM PROPORTION (ON/OFF)
ON: Movements are proportional to zoom.
OFF: Movements are not proportional to zoom.
FREEZE IN PRESET (OFF/ON)
ON: The preset image will be frozen and displayed on-
screen directly when a preset is called without preceding
the calling action.
OFF: FREEZE IN PRESET is OFF.
MOTION EDIT LOCK
ON: Motion action programming cannot be changed.
OFF: Motion action programming can be changed.
PARK (OFF/ON)
ON: The PARK function is on. OFF: The PARK function is off.
PARK TIME (1-5)
PARK TIME denes the time interval of the idle state of the
PTZ camera.
PARK ACT (NONE/PRESET/PATTERN/SWING/GROUP)
PRESET/PATTERN/SWING/GROUP: When the dened park
time is reached, the PTZ will automatically call the selected
action.
NONE: No action will occur when the PARK TIME is reached.
PARK ACT NO.
Select the number of PRESET/PATTERN/SWING/GROUP to
call when PARK TIME is reached.
PRESET NO. (1 - 255)
The preset number can be modied from 1-255.
If the preset number is already dened, the OSD will display the spe-
cic preset number, otherwise it will be shown as UNDEFINED.
CLEAR PRESET (NO/CLEAR)
CLEAR: Delete the selected preset. NO: Do not clear the preset.

Select this option to program the preset position.

Select this option to set a label for the selected preset.

The solid square moves to the next cursor position. Repeat until the
preset label is complete.

DWELL - The amount of time before the next action in the list is
called.
OPT - For PRESET actions, this value is the speed at which the dome
moves to the preset. For SCAN and PATTERN, this value is the number
of times the action is repeated before the next action is called.

and press the NEAR key. The ACTION is highlighted in white.
