Introdu tion
This unit is a portable mini TV box. It enables the user to capture, record, and edit TV
programs or films from DVD, VCD, VCR, video camcorders, and game consoles on your
PC or laptop.
Pre autions
1. Do not expose this product to direct sunlight.
2. Keep the unit away from radiator, heat sources and magnetic field.
3. Do not place it in very dusty or humid locations.
4. Use this unit in a horizontal position only.
5. Do not put heavy objects on top of the converter.
6. Put the unit in an open space that has good ventilation.
7. If the unit is acting abnormally keep the unit away from TV or other electronic
equipment.
8. Unplug the unit from the power supply when it is not to be used for a long period
of time.

Operation Controls and Fun tions
Front Panel
1. Composite Video in- This is the Composite Video input port. Connect the port to
your video device using an RCA jack.
2. S-Video in- This is the S-Video input port. Connect the port to your video device
using a 4-pin mini din connector cable.
3. Audio In- This is the Audio input port. Connect the port to your audio device
using a 3.5mm audio phone jack.
4. Audio Out- This is the Audio output port. Connect the port to your device using a
audio phone jack.
Rear Panel
1. FM in- This is the FM input port. Connect the port to your FM radio antenna
using an RF connector. (Optional)
2. RF in- This is the RF input port. Connect the port to your antenna.
3. USB in- This is the USB input port. Connect the supplied USB cable to your PC’s
USB port. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB input port.

System requirements
- Pentium III 700 MHz or faster is recommended.
- 128MB of system RAM or more.
- Microsoft indows 98SE/Me/2000/XP operation system platform.
- DirectX 8.0 or latter version.
Video Software Installation
The video software can turn your PC into a TV and digital video recording center through
the TV box pro. It lets you record your favourite TV programs, via a TV tuner card and
saves them in either VCD or DVD quality.
You can also record video from numerous DV and analog sources via the S-Video port or
CVBS port. It comes with many advanced features such as an instant TV replay and
multi-channel preview, which will give you total control over the recording process.
Installing Video Software
1. Insert the driver CD into your CD Rom drive.
2. An instruction screen appears, click install Video Software and follow the screen
instructions in order to install.
3. Restart the computer. The software should now be installed.
Driver Installation
You must install the device drivers for your computer to recognize the unit.
1. Insert the driver CD into your CD Rom drive.
2. An instruction screen appears. Click install VIVID VTB-103 USB 2.0 TV Box
driver.
3. Follow all the instructions on screen to complete the installation.
Conne ting the devi e
1. Connect the other end of the USB cable to USB in port.
2. Connect the supplied USB cable to your PC’s USB port.
3. Turn on your computer. Follow the hardware wizard to finish the installation.
4. Ensure that all the connections are complete and correct.
5. Run the video software.
Make sure that the Audio cable is connected from the audio out of the unit to the Sound
Card Line in on your PC or notebook.

Trouble Shooting
•If there is no video and sound: Check that all the cables are connected properly and
ensure that all of the devices are powered on. Check the software option; make sure
that the video source and the audio source are selected on the USB 2.0 TV tuner box.
•The video pi ture motion is slow when I apture or view the preview mode:
Make sure that the TV box is connected to the USB 2.0 port and your USB port
setting is high speed. The CPU speed and RAM capacity may cause the video and
picture motion to become slow.
