This product is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year.
This does not cover the product where the fault is due to misuse, abuse, use in
contravention of the instructions, or where the product has been the subject of
unauthorised modifications or alterations, or has been the subject of commercial
use.
In the event of a problem with the product within the guarantee period please return
it to your nearest Argos store.
If the item is shown to have had an inherent defect present at the time of sale, the
store will provide you with a replacement.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
Read all instructions.
Do not disassemble the appliance when it is plugged in, do not immerse in
water or any other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is operated near children.
The appliance must not be used by children.
The appliance must always be unplugged when not in use and before cleaning
or maintenance.
Do not operate any appliance with damaged cord or plug, or if appliance
malfunctions or is damaged in any manner.
This appliance is designed for indoor use only.
Do not allow cord to hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Do not place unit on or near a gas or electric burner or a heated oven.
Do not leave the appliance unattended. Do not use the appliance for other than
its intended use.
Avoid contacting with moving parts.
Do not touch the spiral bit when it is in operation.
Handle carefully the hot melted chocolate.
Keeps hands out of the appliance when it is in operation.
Do not touch hot surfaces.
Do not move the appliance while it contains hot oil or other hot liquids.
Do not use attachments with this unit, as they may cause fire, electrical shock
or injury.
Ensure switch off the unit after each use. Make sure the motor stops
completely before disassembled.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pad on appliance.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
For your own safety read the following instructions carefully before
attempting to connect this unit to the mains.
You should only plug the appliance into a 230V-240V AC, 50Hz supply.
Connecting it to other power sources may damage the appliance.
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
BLUE = NEUTRAL
BROWN = LIVE
GREEN + YELLOW = EARTH
IMPORTANT
The colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond
with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as
follows:

The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter N or
coloured black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter L or
coloured red.
The green and yellow wire must be connecting to the terminal marked with the
letter E or the earth symbol. ( ).
If a 13 Amp (BS1363) fused plug is used it must be fitted with a 13A fuse
conforming to BS1362 and be ASTA approved.

Never use water in the reservoir bowl.
CLEANING
Before cleaning ensure power is switched off and unplugged.
Pour melted chocolate into a separate container and wait for it to solidify. Store
the chocolate for the next use or discard as desired.
Remove spira bit and tower from the reservoir bowl and wash.
Remove melted chocolate from the reservoir bowl.
Clean the reservoir bowl and motor base only with a damp cloth.
Remaining chocolate from the appliance should be disposed into a plastic bag
after it has hardened. Never pour directly into the toilet or basin.
Cleaning must be carried out while the chocolate is still warm. Do not wait until
the chocolate has hardened.
DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY LIQUID
CONNECTION TO POWER
Before connecting, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance (bottom of
the appliance) corresponds with the main voltage in your home. If this is not the
case, consult your dealer and do not use.
This appliance may be fitted with a non-rewirable plug. If you need to change
the fuse in a non-rewirable plug, the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse
cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used until a replacement is
obtained (available from the appliance manufacturer).
If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or
becomes damaged, it should be cut off and appropriate plug fitted following the
wiring instructions. The plug removed must be disposed of safely as insertion
into a mains socket is likely to cause an electrical hazard.
This unit must be earthed. This equipment must be disconnected from the
mains when not in use. Do not allow this unit to be exposed to rain or moisture

1. Before using for the first time, wash the disassembled parts (except the motor
base) in warm water.
2. Make sure the unit is switched off and the mains plug is unplugged before
assembling the unit.
3. Place the Spiral Bit on the Reservoir, Please make sure the Spiral Bit fully fits
into the semi-circle notched spot. (Figure 1)
4. Insert the Tower and turn it Clockwise onto the Tower Lock Ring in the middle
Of Reservoir until is it locked. (Figure 2)
5. Place the Middle Tier and Bottom Tier on the Tower. The Bottom Tier should
be at the lowest position, follow by the Middle Tier. (Figure 3)

6. Put the Top Tier onto the Tower. (Figure 4)
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Check that the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the voltage at your
house.
Clean the reservoir bowl with a wet cloth before the first use.
Chocolate preparation:
We recommend a chocolate with cocoa butter content of more than 40%. Example
like coverture chocolate is recommended. High percentage of cocoa butter/ oil
allows a smoother cascade and a rich, creamy appearance.
This fountain requires 2 lbs max of chocolate for use. The chocolate shall be
melted prior putting to the appliance:
Microwave method – Place 2 lbs chocolate with ¾ cups of oil in microwave and
heat for 1 minute at 500-600qC. Stir until the chocolate is melted.
Hot water method – Stir chocolate in a bowl over hot/warm water until it melts. The
water should not be in contact with the chocolate. Continue adding chocolate until
the desired amount has been melted.
If regular chocolate is used, add some vegetable oil to the chocolate until it is thin
enough to allow a smooth cascade. Dip a spoon into the melted chocolate and see
how well it flows off the spoon. Add more oil and stir if necessary.
DISMANTLING AND ASSEMBLY
Ensure the switch is in Off position.
Insert the tower onto the pins located on top of the base.
Insert the spiral bit into the motor shaft, ensure it is fully fits into the semi-circle
notched spot.
The chocolate fountain is now ready for use.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.
Before plug in make sure the switch is Off.
Press the heater button to start pre-heating. Red light indicates the heater is
on.
You can melt the chocolate in the reservoir bowl or pour pre-melted chocolate
(recommended) into the reservoir bowl.
Once the chocolate is fully melted, press the motor button to start drilling.
Green light indicates the motor is on.
The melted chocolate will be drawn from the bottom of reservoir bowl up to the
spiral bit and create the cascade.
Do not turn off the heater to keep the chocolate in a melted condition and flow
smoothly.
USEFUL INFORMATION
Regularly clear the base of the tower to allow a smooth flow of chocolate.
Make sure that the chocolate in the reservoir bowl is completely melted before
turning on the motor.
Do not mix any cool liquids with the chocolate in the reservoir bowl.
Do not put any other ingredients to the chocolate as it will clog at the base and

Do not operate over 8 hours as chocolate may dry and burn the motor.
