1. Safety precaution
To prevent user injury or harm from this unit, and to avoid damage to
the unit or other property, please carefully use the Heat Pump
according to this manual and understand the following information
correctly.
1.1 The heat pump must be installed by qualified personals, to avoid
improper installation which can lead to water leakage, electrical
shock or fire.
1.2 Please make sure that the unit and power connection have a good
earth wire to prevent electrical shock.
1.3 When install the unit in a small room, please take some
ventilation measures to prevent health issues caused by the leakage of
refrigerant.
1.4 The unit MUST NOT be installed near flammable gas. Any
leakage of such gas will cause fire.
1.5 Make sure that the unit is installed on a suitable and adequate
floor to avoid instability of the unit.
1.6 Earth leakage circuit breaker must be installed on the power
supply to the unit. Failure can cause electric shock or fire.
1.7 Do not place fingers or other implements into the fan and

- 4 -
evaporator of the unit.
1.8 When there is something wrong or strange smell, the power
supply should be shut off to stop the unit. Continuing to run may
cause electrical short or fire.
1.9 When the heat pump needs to be moved or re-installed, please
engage a qualified person to carry out the work. Improper installation
will lead to water leakage, electrical shock, injury or fire.
1.10 The user must not repair the unit, otherwise electrical shock or
fire may occur and the warranty invalidated.
1.11 When the heat pump need to be repaired, please entrust dealer or
qualified person to carry it out. Improper movement or repair on the
unit will lead to water leakage, electrical shock, injury or fire.
1.12 The unit must be installed indoors or under adequate cover, and
the ambient temperature must be over 0 degrees C. If the unit is not to
be used for any lengthy period and the ambient temperature is below
0, please drain the water in the unit to prevent freezing and
consequent damage.
1.13 When being cleaned, shut off the power to the unit, otherwise
injury may be occurred.
1.14 Please use a suitable fuse and installed by a qualified electrician.
1.15 Do not flammable aerosols towards or around the unit, otherwise
it could cause a fire.

3. Function presentation
3.1 Heating capacity
The unit absorbs energy from the ambient air and transfer heat
to the water. If the air inlet temperature is falling, heating
capacity will be lower.
3.2 3 minutes protection
When the unit stops, if you restart the unit or turn on the manual
switch, the unit will not run for 3 minutes. This is built in
protection for the compressor.
3.3 Heating mode running
If the ambient temperature is too high, to protect the unit, the
fan motor will stop running.
3.4 Defrosting
When in heating mode, the unit will defrost automatically when
temperature is too low. The fan motor will stop running.
3.5 Working condition
The unit should be running at ambient temperatures of 0-43℃.
The unit include sophisticated electronic devices and do not fill
the heating system with water from lake, river water or ground
water.
3.6 Power off
If the power supply is off, the unit will stop running. If
operation is disturbed by lightning, power grid fluctuations or
similar, please turn the power supply off manually and then
power on again to reset.

4. Installation
4.1 Installation diagram
4.2 Water pipe connection
Pay attention to these points when connecting the water pipe:
A. This Heat Pump Water Heater is a unit without a water tank,
only water pipes and duct pipes needed to be installed.
To protect the water tank, please make sure the pressure-release
valve is installed on the water inlet side.
B. Hot water outlet MUST BE installed after the tank is full of
water.
C. Try to reduce the water resistance in pipeline system.
D. Make sure there is nothing in the pipe and the water pipe is
smooth, check the pipe carefully to see if there is any leak, then
pack the pipe with the insulation.

- 9 -
E. Install a one way valve and safety valve in the water
circulation system.
F. The water pipes may be of a rigid or flexible type. To prevent
corrosion damage, make sure that the materials used in the
piping system are compatible.
G. When installing the pipe work, any contamination of the
pipe system must be avoided(pipes may have to be flushed prior
to the connection to the unit).
4.3 Wire connection
A. There is an election cord located at the back of the unit for
power supply of the unit. The specification for the wire is
2.5mm2.
B. The power supply must be connected with an external circuit
connection.
4.4 Trial running
Inspection before trial running
A. Check the water in the tank and the water pipe connection.
B. Check the power system to make sure the power supply is
normal and the power supply connection is correct.
C. Check the unit to make sure everything is as per this
installation manual before switching on the unit.
Check the light on the wire controller when the unit runs.
Trial running
A. Use the wire controller to start the unit.
B. Listen to the unit carefully when the unit is switched on,
switch the unit off should there be any strange noises when the

- 10 -
unit is running.
C. Measure the water temp.
D. The water temperature parameter has been set; the user
cannot change the parameter optionally and will need
professional support should they wish to do this.

4.6 Storage and transportation
The unit be stored and/or transported in its shipping container in
an upright position and kept dry .

- 11 -
4.7Installation position
A. Waste heat is useful heat
The unit can be installed internally, say in a garage, to use the
latent heat from your other heating or reverse cycle air
conditioning. This improves efficiency during cold periods.
Ensure cold air is ducted outside.
B. Dual-use with both generation of hot water
And use of the cold discharge air for say a wine cellar or cool
room for other storage.
C. Dual use to domestic hot water and fresh air ventilation
Units can also be placed in a garage or basement and cold air
discharge for cooling areas as a gym etc.

7. Maintenance and repair
7.1 Maintenance
A. Check the water supply and air vent frequently, to avoid
lack of water or air in the water loop. Clean the water filter
regularly to maintain water quality. Lack of water and dirty
water can damage the unit. The heat pump will start the water
pump every 72 hours when it is not running, to avoid freezing.
B. Keep the unit in a place which is dry and clean, and has
good ventilation. Clean the heat exchanger every 1 or 2 months
to maintain a good heat exchange rate and save energy.
C. Check each part of the unit and the pressure of the system.
Replace any failing part, and recharge the refrigerant if it is
necessary. Check the power supply and the electrical system to
ensure that all is in order. If any part has failed, replace it. It is
also worth checking for any unusual smells that may indicate
parts about to fail.
D. To avoid the freezing, please drain out all the water from the
lowest point of heat exchanger when it stops to run for a long
time or in Winter season. And water re-charge and full
inspection on the heat pump is needed before running.
E. Don’t put power off the unit when it is running regularly.
Otherwise, it should not be under warranty if freezing in split or
