RS3-G5: The transmitter supplied withthissystemhas4verticalbuttons–Lock,Unlock,VehicleSelectandStart.
Toeliminatethe possibilityofaccidentallystarting the vehicle,there are (3) choicesfor button press selection.
Option #6 will allowyou tochange whether the RemoteStarter isactivated bya:
1.DoublePress –2pressesof Start button.
2.*Single½second press (Default).
3.Press and HoldStart button 2seconds.

USINGTHE2-WAYPAGERTRANSMITTER
The 2-WayLCD Pager remotetransceiver isused tosend and receiveinformation fromthe vehicle. The
ControlModuletransmitsHigh FrequencyFMsignalsfromthe vehicletoyour pager over long distances. Your
range will varydepending on location, terrain, and localRFnoise/interference. Thissystemisnot guaranteed to
page you if you are behind concretewalls, underground, inalarge structure, or inan area withhigh levelsof
electronicinterference. Handlethe pager/remotewithcare. The LCD displayand/or the electronics maybe
damaged if subjected toabuse.
BATTERYCHARGING
The2-WayLCDremotehasabatterychargeindicatorontoprightcornerofdisplay.Thebatteryvoltageaffectsthe
distanceoftheremotecontrol.ThesystemcomeswithastandardMiniUSBchargingcablethatplugsintotheside
of remotecontrol. Toaccess toUSB plug, slide the cover tothe left shownbelow.
SETTINGTHECLOCK (2-WAY- LCD REMOTE)
1.Press VEHButton on the side of the remotecontrol5times.
2.The remotewill beep and the AMorPM displaywill beginflashing.
3.Press the TrunkButton togo tothe next item –AM-PM-Hour-Minutes.
4.Press the Lock Button to Increase time.
5.Press the Unlock Button to decrease time.
6.Press the Start Button to DisableorEnableBeepand Vibration. See next page.
7.Press the VEHButton to Save and ExitSetup orwait 8seconds, the LCD light will turnoff.

REMOTEBEEP &VIBRATESELECTION
The LCD pager remoteBEEPS and VIBRATES when it receivesasignalfromthe vehicle. The Beepsand
Vibration are selectable(on/off). Toenter programmode,
1.Press VEHButton on the side of the remotecontrol5times.
2.The remotewill beep and the AMorPM displaywill beginflashing.
3.Press the Start button tochoosethe mode of “Beep ON/OFF &VibrateON/OFF”.
4.Press the VEHButton to Save and ExitSetup orwait 8seconds, the LCD light will turnoff.
Mode 1: Beep ON&VibrateON. RemoteStart Run TimeReminder Beep ON&VibrateON.
Mode 2: Beep ON&VibrateOFF. RemoteStart Run TimeReminder Beep ON&VibrateOFF.
Mode 3: Beep OFF &VibrateON. RemoteStart Run TimeReminder Beep OFF &VibrateON.
Mode 4: Beep OFF &VibrateOFF. RemoteStart Run TimeReminder Beep OFF &VibrateOFF.
Mode 5: Beep ON&VibrateOFF. RemoteStart Run TimeReminder Beep OFF &VibrateOFF.
Mode 6: Beep OFF &VibrateON. RemoteStart Run TimeReminder Beep OFF &VibrateOFF.

REMOTESTARTButton Press Selection (Option #6):
Toeliminatethe possibilityofaccidentallystarting the vehicle,there are (3) optionsforbuttonpressselection.This
option allowsyou tochange whether the Remotestarter isactivated bya:

5.*Single½second press (Default).
6.Press and Hold2seconds.
*Default=1singlepress*
REMOTEENGINESTARTING -SUCCESSFULSTART:
1) Press the remotestart button for at least 1/2second (*default). Parking lightsflashonce, return solid,and the
Ignition/Acc circuitsturn on.
2) After afewsecondsthe Starter Motor engages.The parking lightsand Acc circuitswill turn off whilecranking.
3) Engine Startsand Runs. Parking Lightsand Acc turnsbackon, and the doorslock.
4) Engine will remainrunning for programmed run timeuntil resetwithBrakepedal.Ifneeded,the engine can be
turned off withremotetransmitter bypressing and releasing the Start button.
Note:Whenthevehicleremote starts, the2-WayPagerwill displaytheenginerun inplace oftheClock.

REMOTEENGINESTARTING -UNSUCCESSFULSTART
Inthe eventthatthe engine doesnotstarton the firstattempt, the systemshutsdownfor afewseconds,then
attemptstorestartthe engine a2nd and 3rd time.Forhardstartingengines,theunitwillallowastartercranktimeof
upto4secondsmaximum.Thisshouldprovideamplecrankingtimefordifficultstarts,butislimitedto4secondsto
helpprevent damage tothe starter fromover cranking.
1) If engine startson 2nd or 3rd attempt, see steps4&5of "SuccessfulStart"on page 7.
2) IfThird attemptfailstostartengine,the systemwill turn off and doorswill remainlocked.NOFURTHER
ATTEMPTSWILL BE MADEAUTOMATICALLY
TURNING OFF AREMOTESTARTEDENGINE:
1) Engine isrunning inRemoteStart (Parking lightsON).
2) Press and releasethe remotestart button or doublepress (If option #6 ison).
3) Engine &parking lightsOFF, Doorsre-lock/re-arm.
ENTERING YOUR REMOTESTARTEDVEHICLE:
1) Withengine running, Unlocksystemwithremote(If equipped) or open door withkey.
2) Enter vehicleand be carefulnot tostep on brakepedal!(RemoteStart Reset)
3) Turn Ignition toON/RUN position, then press brakepedaltoreset the RemoteStarter &Shift out of park.
4) Remotestarter will resetinstantlywhen the brakeispressed.Parking lightswill turn off and the ignition keyis
nowcontrolling your vehicle.
REMOTESTART RUN TIMERESET:
The RemoteStart Run Timeisadjustablefrom5to30 minutes(option #20). Somelocalcities
havearun timelimit for unattended vehicle. You can nowreset the engine-run timer toallowfor more running
timeafter remotestart hasalreadyoccurred using the remotecontrol. After asuccessfulremotestart, press
boththe Lock&Unlockbuttonstogether for at least 2seconds. The parking lightswill flash3timesand
internalengine timer will reset backtozero minutes.
LOCK withREMOTESTARTand AfterREMOTESTARTABORT:
Option#8controlswhetherthesystemwillautomaticallylockduringandafteraremoteStartabortortime-out.This
feature can be turned OFF. The default isLockwithRemoteStart.

IDLEDOWNMODE:
Thismodeallowstheunittotakeoveroperationoftheparkedvehiclewhiletheignitionkeyisremovedandyouexit
the vehicle.The vehiclewill remainrunning for the programmedtimeoruntilcanceled.TheRunTimechoicesare:
10, 20, 30 minutesor InfinityRun. Default=20 minutes
Examples:
•You pull up toaconveniencestore for aquick stop,“IdleDown”mode keepsengine running when you exitthe
vehicle,(withkeysinhand)remotelockdoors.Whenyoureturn,unlock,turnignitionONanddriveaway.NOTE:
If lock button ispressed twicein“IdleDown”mode, the remotestart will abort.
IDLEDOWNMODE-EXITING THEVEHICLE:
1) Withvehicleengine running withkey, press the RemoteStart button for at least one second or twiceif set for
Doublepress.
2) Parking Lightswill turn ON.
3) Doorswill unlock, or if brakepedalisbeing depressed, doorswill unlockwhen it isreleased.
4) Turn OFF Ignition and removekey. Engine shouldremainrunning.
5) Exit vehicleand remotelockdoorsif desired. Locking doorsa2nd timeabortsremotestart.
6) Engine will remainrunning for programmed run timeor until you return (whichever comesfirst).

IDLEDOWNINFINITYRUN MODE:
IdleDowncanbeprogrammedforINFINITYRUN.ThisallowsthevehicleenginetoremainrunningINDEFINITELY
withouttheignitionkeyintheswitch.Theparkinglightscontinuouslyflashinthismode.Thismodecanbebeneficial
tolawenforcement or commercialtrucksthat need toremainrunning unattended for long periodsof time.
