*The air conditioner absorbs heat from the outside and transmits it inside to increase the
room temperature. This is the principle of the heat pump.Its heating capacity will
decrease when the outdoor temperature decreases.
*If the outdoor temperature becomes very low, use other heating equipment.
Defrosting:
*When the outdoor temperature is low but the humidity is high, frost will form on the
outdoor unit if the air conditioner runs for a long time. This will affect its heating
efficiency. Auto defrosting will begin to run, and the heat will stop for 8–10 minutes.
*During auto defrosting, the fan motors on the indoor and outdoor unitswill stop.
*During auto defrosting, the indoor indicator will flash and the outdoor unit may emit a
vapor. This is due to the defrosting;it is not a malfunction.
*When defrosting is finished, the air conditioner will resume heating automatically.
Anti-cool-wind function:
In the following three situations in HEAT mode, if the indoor heat exchanger hasn't
reached a certain temperature,the indoor fan motor will not start for 3 minutes. This
is to prevent cool wind from blowing.

Principle:
The air conditioner absorbs heat in the room,transmits it outside, and discharges it. This
decreases the indoor ambient temperature. The air conditioner's cooling capacity will
increase or decrease based on the outdoor ambient temperature.
Anti-freezing function:
If the unit is running at a low temperature in COOL mode,frost will form on the indoor
heat exchanger. When the indoor heat exchanger temperature reaches below 32°F, the
indoor unit microcomputer will stop the compressor to protect the unit.

Pressing this button will turn the air conditioner on or off. When the unit is turned
on, the operation indicator " "on the indoor unit’s display will appear (the color is
different for different models) and the indoor unit will give out a sound.
Press this button to select your desired operation mode.
AUTO COOL FANDRY HEAT
●This is a general use remote control. It can be used with various air conditioner
models. If a model does not have a particular function and the corresponding
button on the remote control is pressed, the running status of the air
conditioner will not change.
●When the power is turned on, the air conditioner will make a sound and the red
operation indicator " " will turn on. After that, you will be able to operate the air
conditioner with the remote control.
●To turn the unit on, press the ON button on the remote control. The signal icon
" " on the display of the remote control will blink once and the air conditioner will
give out a “de” sound. This means the signal has been sent to the air conditioner.
●When the unit is off, the set temperature and clock icons will appear on the
display of the remote control. (If the timer on, timer off, and light functions are set,
the corresponding icons will appear on the display of the remote control at the
same time.) When the unit is on, the corresponding set function icons will be
displayed.

●When you select AUTO, the air conditioner will operate automatically according
to the ex-factory setting. The set temperature cannot be adjusted and will not be
displayed. Press the "FAN" button to adjust the fan speed. Press the "SWING"
button to adjust the fan blowing angle.
●When you select COOL, the air conditioner will operate in COOL mode and the
cool indicator " " will appear. Press "▲" or " " to adjust the set temperature.
Press the "FAN" button to adjust the fan speed. Press the "SWING" button to
adjust the fan blowing angle.
●When you select DRY, the air conditioner will operate at a low speed in DRY
mode and the dry indicator " " will appear. In DRY mode, the fan speed cannot
be adjusted. Press the "SWING" button to adjust the fan blowing angle.
●When you select FAN, the air conditioner will only blow the fan, no cooling or
heating will operate, and all indicators will be off. Press the "FAN" button to
adjust the fan speed. Press the "SWING" button to adjust the fan blowing angle.
●When you select HEAT, the air conditioner will operate in HEAT mode and the
heat indicator " " will appear. Press "▲" or " " to adjust the set

indoor unit will delay 1–5 minutes before blowing air. (The actual delay time
will depend on the indoor ambient temperature.)
●The set temperature range on the remote control is 60.8–86°F (16–30°C). The
fan speeds are auto, low, medium, and high.

In COOL, HEAT, or DRY mode, press this button to start the SLEEP function.
The " " icon will appear on the remote control. Press this button again to
cancel the SLEEP function. The " " icon will disappear.
By pressing this button, you can see the indoor set temperature, the indoor
ambient temperature, or the outdoor ambient temperature on the indoor
unit’s display. The setting on the remote control is selected circularly:

●When you select " " or no display with the remote control, the temperature
indicator on the indoor unit will display the set temperature.
●When you select " " with the remote control, the temperature indicator on the
indoor unit will display the indoor ambient temperature.
●When you select " " with the remote control, the temperature indicator on the
indoor unit will display the outdoor ambient temperature.
Note:
● An outdoor temperature display is not available for some models. In that case, the
indoor unit will receive a " " signal and display the indoor set temperature.

In COOL or HEAT mode, press this button to switch to quick COOL or quick
HEAT mode. The " " icon will appear on the remote control. Press this button
again to exit TURBO. The " " icon will disappear.

Press "▲" or " " once to increase or decrease the set temperature
(33.8°F (1°C)). If you hold "▲" or " " for 2 seconds, the set temperature on
the remote control will change quickly. When you have reached your desired
setting, release the button. The temperature indicator will change accordingly.
(The temperature cannot be adjusted in AUTO mode.)
When setting TIMER ON, TIMER OFF, or CLOCK, press "▲" or " " to adjust
the time. (Refer to the CLOCK, TIMER ON, and TIMER OFF buttons.)

●By default, the unit will display the set temperature when it is turned on and
nothing will be displayed on the remote control.
●This button is only available for models whose indoor units have a dual-8 display.
●When you are selecting the display of the indoor or outdoor ambient
temperature, the indoor temperature indicator will display the corresponding
temperature and automatically display the set temperature after 3 or 5 seconds.
●The clock time will be set in a 24-hour mode.
●The interval between two operations cannot exceed 5 seconds. If it does, the
remote control will stop setting the status. Operation for the "TIMER ON/
TIMER OFF" buttons is the same.

Press this button to start the I FEEL function. The " " icon will be displayed on
the remote control. After this function is set, the remote control will send the
detected ambient temperature to the unit, which will automatically adjust the
indoor temperature according to the detected temperature. Press this button again
to close the I FEEL function. The " " icon will disappear.
●Keep the remote control near the user when this function is set. To avoid an
inaccurate ambient temperature reading, do not put the remote control near an
object of high or low temperature.

Press this button to turn off the display light on the indoor unit. The " " icon on
the remote control will disappear. Press this button again to turn on the display
light. The " " icon will reappear.
Press this button to set the clock time. The " " icon on the remote control will
blink. Within 5 seconds, press "▲" or " " to set the clock time. With each press of
"▲" or " ," the clock time will increase or decrease by 1 minute. If you hold "▲" or
" " for 2 seconds, the time will change quickly. Release the button when your
desired time has been reached. Press the "CLOCK" button to confirm the time. The
" " icon will stop blinking.
The "TIMER ON" button sets the time for the TIMER ON function. When you
press this button, the " " icon will disappear and the word "ON" will blink on the
remote control. Press "▲" or " " to adjust the TIMER ON setting. With each
press of "▲" or " ," the TIMER ON setting will increase or decrease by

In COOL mode, press the "TEMP" and " CLOCK" buttons simultaneously to
activate or turn off the energy-saving function. When the energy-saving function is
activated, "SE" will appear on the remote control. The air conditioner will adjust the
set temperature automatically according to the ex-factory setting to reach the best
energy-saving effect. Press the "TEMP" and "CLOCK" buttons simultaneously
again to exit the energy-saving function.
●In the energy-saving function, the fan speed defaults to auto and cannot be
adjusted.
●In the energy-saving function, the set temperature cannot be adjusted. Press the
"TURBO" button to keep the remote control from sending a signal.
●The sleep function and the energy-saving function cannot operate at the same
time. If the energy-saving function has been set in COOL mode, press the
SLEEP button to cancel the energy-saving function. If the sleep function has
been set in COOL mode, the energy-saving function will cancel the sleep
function.

Release the button when your desired time has been reached. Press the "TIMER
ON" button to confirm the time. The word "ON" will stop blinking and the " " icon

The "TIMER OFF" button sets the time for the TIMER OFF function. When you
press this button, the " " icon will disappear and the word "OFF" will blink on
the remote control. Press "▲" or " " to adjust the TIMER OFF setting. With each
press of "▲" or " ," the TIMER OFF setting will increase or decrease by 1
minute. If you hold "▲" or " " for 2 seconds, the time will change quickly.
Release the button when your desired time has been reached. Press the "TIMER
OFF" button to confirm the time. The word "OFF" will stop blinking and the " "
icon will again be displayed. To cancel the TIMER OFF function, press the
"TIMER OFF" button.
Note:

●In either ON or OFF status, you can set TIMER ON or TIMER OFF
simultaneously.
●Before setting TIMER ON or TIMER OFF, adjust the clock time.
●After setting TIMER ON or TIMER OFF, set the constant circulating valid. After
that, the air conditioner will turn on or off according to the time you set. The
ON/OFF button has no effect on the setting. If you don’t need this function, use
the remote control to cancel it.

●In the 46°F (8°C) heating function, the fan speed will default to auto and cannot
be adjusted.
●In the 46°F (8°C) heating function, the set temperature cannot be adjusted.
Press the "TURBO" button to keep the remote control from sending a signal.
●The sleep function and the 46°F (8°C) heating function cannot operate at the
same time. If the 46°F (8°C) heating function has been set in COOL mode, press
the SLEEP button to cancel the 46°F (8°C) heating function. If the sleep function
has been set in COOL mode, the 46°F (8°C) heating function will cancel the sleep
function.
●When the unit is set to °F, the remote control will display 46°F (8°C).

In HEAT mode, press the “TEMP” and “CLOCK” buttons simultaneously to start
up or turn off the heating function. When this function is started up, “ ” and
“46°F (8°C)” will appear on the remote control and the air conditioner will
maintain 46°F (8°C). Press the “TEMP” and “CLOCK” buttons simultaneously
again to exit the heating function.
Note:
Press "▲" or " " to turn the child lock function on or off. When the child lock
function is on, the " " icon will be displayed on the remote control. If you try to
operate the remote control, the " " icon will blink three times without sending
a signal to the unit.
When the unit is off, press " " and "MODE" simultaneously to switch the
temperature display between °C and °F.

Operation of Remote Control
1. After turning on the power, press the "ON/OFF" button on the remote control to
turn on the air conditioner.
2. Press the "MODE" button to select your desired mode: AUTO, COOL, DRY,
FAN, or HEAT.
3. Press "▲" or " " to set your desired temperature. (The temperature can't be
adjusted in auto mode.)
4. Press the "FAN" button to set your desired fan speed: auto, low, medium, or
high.
5. Press the "SWING" button to select the fan's blowing angle.
Replacement ofBatteries inRemote Control
1. Press the back side of the remote control
marked with " ," as shown in the figure, then
push out the cover of the battery box in the
direction the arrow points.
2. Insert two 7# (AAA 1.5V) dry batteries, making
sure the positions of the "+" polar and "-" polar
are correct.
3. Reinstall the battery box cover.

●During operation, point the remote control signal sender at the receiving
window on the indoor unit.
●The distance between the signal sender and the receiving window should be
no more than 8 m, and there should be no obstacles between them.
●The signal may be easily interrupted in a room that has a fluorescent lamp or
a wireless telephone; to avoid interference, keep the remote control near the
indoor unit during operation.
●When battery replacement is necessary, replace old batteries with new
batteries of the same model.
●When the remote control will not be in use for a long time, remove the
batteries.
●If the display on the remote control is fuzzy or no display appears, replace
the batteries.

Emergency Operation
Emergency Operation
If the remote control is lost or damaged, use the manual switch to
control the air conditioner. The unit will operate in AUTO RUN mode,
and you will not be able to adjust the temperature or the fan speed.
The manual switch can be operated as follows:
When the unit stops, press the manual ON/
OFF button to turn the unit to AUTO RUN
mode. Based on the temperature of the
room, the microcomputer will automatically
select a comfortable mode (COOL, HEAT,
or FAN).
When the unit is running, press the manual
ON/OFF button to stop operation.

Cleaning and Care
Cleaning the Front Panel
Notes:
After removing the filter, do not touch the fin of the indoor unit to avoid hurting
your fingers.
It is recommended that you clean the air filters once every three months.
However, if a lot of dust has accumulated around the air conditioner, clean the air
filters more often.
Taking off the front panel:
Lift the front panel up along the direction of the
arrows. Hold both slots of the front panel, pull it out
forcibly, then take it off.
Washing:
Clean the front panel with a soft brush, water, and a
neutral detergent, then dry it. (Note: If the unit has a
displayer on the front panel, remove the displayer
box before washing the panel. Never use water
hotter than 45°C to wash the panel; this could
cause deformation or discoloration.)
Reinstalling the front panel:
Place the two supports of the front panel into the
slots along the direction of the arrows so that they
cover and clasp the front panel. See the figure to
the right.

CAUTION
To avoid an electrical shock, turn the unit off and pull out the power plug
before cleaning the air conditioner.
Never sprinkle water on the indoor or outdoor units when cleaning them.
This may cause an electrical shock.
Volatile liquid (e.g. thinner or gasoline) will damage the air conditioner.
Wipe the units with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth slightly moistened with
water or cleanser.

Be sure that nothing obstructs the air outlet or the
intake vents.
Ensure that the ground wire is properly
connected.
Ensure that the air conditioner batteries are
working.
Check whether the installation stand of the
outdoor unit is damaged. If it is, contact the
dealer.
Turn the main power off.
Clean the filter and the bodies of the indoor and outdoor units.
Clear dust and obstructions from the outdoor unit.
Repaint the rusted place on the outdoor unit to prevent it from
spreading.
Cover the outdoor unit with the special shield to keep rain water and
dust from entering the unit and causing it to rust.

①Taking down the air filters:
At the indicated slot on the surface panel, pull
down on the air filter and take it out.
Cleaning:
To remove dust adhering to the filters, either
clean them with a vacuum cleaner or wash
them with a neutral detergent and warm water
(cooler than 45°C). What should be done if
the filters are very dirty (such as stained with
oil), and dry it in the shade? NOTE: Never
use water hotter than 45°C to wash the filters;
this may cause deformation or discoloration.
Never patch them with fire; this may cause
deformation or fire.
Reinserting the filters:
Reinsert the filters along the direction of the
arrow, then cover and clasp the surface panel.

Troubleshooting
Warning
Do not repair the air conditioner at your own discretion. Incorrect repair may cause
electrical shock or fire, so please contact an authorized service center for professional
repair. The following suggestions may save you time and money.
When restarted immediately after it is
stopped, the air conditioner does not run.
Phenomenon
To protect the air conditioner upon
immediate restart after a stop, the
microcomputer control will keep the unit
from running for 3 minutes.
Troubleshooting
The air conditioner blows out a bad smell
when it is initially started.
A flowing water noise is heard when the
air conditioner is running.
A thin fog flows from the outlet when the
air conditioner is running in COOL mode.
A slight crack is heard when the air
conditioner starts or stops.
The air conditioner itself has no bad smell.
A bad smell is acquired from the
environment. Solution: Clean the air filter.
If cleaning the air filter does not solve the
problem, contact an authorized service
center to clean the air conditioner.
When the air conditioner is started or
stopped or the compressor is started or
stopped while running, you may hear a
"hua-hua” or “di-di” noise. This is the sound
of flowing refrigerant and is not a
malfunction.
This might occur when the indoor
temperature and humidity are high because
the indoor air is quickly cooled down. After
a period of time, the fog will disappear as
the indoor temperature and humidity
decrease.
This is the sound of friction caused by
expansion of the panel or other parts
due to the change in temperature.

Phenomenon Troubleshooting
If you frequently or abnormally switch
between functions, occasionally the
remote will not be able to operate. Pull
out the plug and reinsert it.
Is the remote outside of its receiving
range, or is it obstructed? Make sure the
voltage in the remote is charged or
replace the batteries.
Check if the remote is damaged.
●Is the humidity high?
●Has the condensing water overflowed?
Has the connection position of the indoor
unit drainage pipe come loose?
●When the unit runs in COOL mode, the pipe
and the pipe connection are condensed
because the water is cooling down.
When the unit runs in AUTO DEFROST
mode, the ice thaws and flows out.
When the unit runsin HEAT mode,
water drips from the heat exchanger.
When the fan or compressor relay switch
off, a sound is emitted.
When defrosting starts or stops, a sound is
emitted because the refrigerant flows in the
reverse direction.
Has the power been shut down?
Has the power plug come loose?
Has the circuit protection device tripped off?
Is the voltage too high or too low? (Have it
tested by professionals.)
Is the timer used correctly?
Is the temperature setting suitable?
Are the inlet or outlet vents obstructed?
