Congratulations. You have purchased a motion activated solar floodlight.
This light is constructed of durable plastic and will provide years of trouble free
and weatherproof service.
HOW IT WORKS
During the daylight hours, the solar panel turns the sunlight
into energy that is stored in the rechargeable battery. Your
light features a motion sensor that turns the light ON at
night when motion is detected. This light is equipped with
a photocell, which only allows the fixture to turn ON during
the nighttime hours.

To Reduce Risk of Fires or Injury to Persons, Read and Follow
these Instructions:
• For outdoor use only.
• Turn off and allow to cool before replacing bulb.
• Bulb gets HOT quickly! Contact switch only when turning on.
• Do not touch hot lens, guard, or enclosure.
• Keep away from flammable objects. Do not position fixture
within one inch of any combustible materials.
• Never touch the bulb with your bare hands, as oil from your skin can cause
premature failure. Always handle the bulb with gloves or a soft cloth.
• Do not operate the luminaire fitting with a missing or damaged shield.

• Fixture is suitable for wall mount only. NOT suitable for ground
mount installation.
• Use only the following type and size batteries: Sealed Lead Acid 6 volt
battery. Make sure that replacement battery is same size as current battery.
Replacement batteries are available at most hardware home center stores.
• Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. The cell may explode. Check with local
codes for possible special disposal instructions.
• Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released electrolyte is corrosive and
may cause damage to the eyes or skin. t may be toxic if swallowed.
• Exercise care in handling the batteries in order not to short the battery with
conducting materials such as rings, bracelets and keys. The battery or
conductor may overheat and cause burns.
• Charge the battery provided with or identified for use with this product only
in accordance with the instructions and limitations specified in this manual.
• Observe proper polarity orientation between the batteries and battery
charger/compartment.
• Disassembly of your fixture will void the warranty.
• Do not cut the solar panel wire. Discontinue use if the wire becomes frayed
or broken.

FOR BEST RESULTS
• Locate solar panel in an area that will receive the maximum amount of
sunlight during the daylight hours.
• Allow fixture to receive four full days of sunlight before turning fixture ON.
• nstall your fixture 8-12 feet above ground (motion detector is less sensitive
above 12 feet.
• Locate fixture so motion moves across detection zone (Fig. 1).
• Locate fixture away from heat producing sources
to prevent false triggering. Also be very careful
not to include objects such as windows, white walls
and water in the detection zone whenever possible.
• Locate fixture away from moving objects such as
trees and street traffic.
• You will need to adjust the angle of the solar panel
throughout the year as seasons change in order to keep it at the best
possible angle to the sun.
• Keep solar panel clear of any objects that will block the sunlight. t will be
necessary to periodically clean the solar panel with soft wet cloth.
• During periods of several cloudy days, the battery will become discharged
and will need to be recharged with sunlight.
Note: When battery is low, light may cycle on and off repeatedly. Turn off
fixture until fully recharged.

INSTALLING OR REPLACING THE BULBS
Note: Disconnect power and allow fixture to cool before removing burned-out bulbs.
Note: Your fixture is supplied with a 15 Watt, 6 Volt G4 bi-pin halogen bulb.
Always replace with the same or lower wattage bulb. Replacing with a higher
wattage bulb will reduce battery life.
Note: Never touch bulb with bare hands as oil from your skin
can cause premature failure (Fig. 2).
CAUTION: When replacing bulb in fixture, always
replace with the same wattage bulb or a lower wattage
bulb. DO NOT replace with a bulb of greater wattage
than specified on the fixture. To do so could create a
fire hazard and / or shorten the life of the bulb.
1. Before replacing bulb, turn fixture to the OFF position.
2. nsert flat head screwdriver in slot at end of lamp
compartment and carefully pry lens out (Fig. 3).
3. Bulb will be extremely hot if touched while bulb is burning
or immediately after bulb is off.
4. Allow bulb to cool before touching. DO NOT touch bulb
with bare hands.
5. Grasp bulb and gently pull out of socket.
6. Replace bulb by lining up the pins of the bulb to the holes in the socket and
gently pressing down.
7. Replace lens by lining up the notches at the bottom of the lens with the notches
on the bottom of the lamp compartment and then gently pressing in at the top
until it snaps into place.
8. Turn fixture back to the ON position.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Your fixture is supplied with a 15 watt halogen bulb, which is shipped in the
lamp compartment of the fixture. The lamp must be installed before use. Please
see “Installing or Replacing the Bulbs”
section of the instruction sheet for installation instructions.
1. Locate area in which you would like to install your light fixture.
Note: For fixture to operate properly, the solar panel must be
located in an area that will receive the maximum amount of sunlight
and is free from obstructions.
2. Using two of the mounting screws provided, mount fixture to a
solid surface 8-12 feet above the ground, by placing the
screws through the holes on either side of the fixture (Fig. 4).
Adjust sensor head so that control switches are facing the
ground. Remove label from the front of the sensor head.
3. Using three of the mounting screws provided, mount solar
panel to a solid surface (Fig. 5). Adjust the angle of the solar
panel so that it will receive the maximum amount of direct
sunlight possible during the daylight hours.

The solar panel can be mounted up to 16 feet away from
the light fixture.
4. Carefully route the wire from the solar panel to the fixture
and plug it into the connector extending from the bottom
of the fixture housing. (For now, keep fixture in the
OFF position) (Fig. 6).
5. Allow fixture to receive four full days of sunlight
before turning fixture to the ON position.
HOW TO OPERATE YOUR FIXTURE
1. After fixture has received four full days of, sunlight, slide the ON/OFF switch on
the bottom of the housing to the ON position (Fig. 6).
Note: Fixture has a warm up period of about one minute. Light may turn on during
this period. Once the light turns off, you are ready to test.
2. Move slide switch on the bottom of the sensor to “TEST”.
Set sensitivity knob to medium (halfway) (Fig. 7).
3. Aim sensor toward the general direction that motion will be
coming from. Maintain at least 1˝ of clearance between
sensor head and lamps. Always position the sensor head
with control switches facing toward the ground.
4. Walk through the detection zone at the farthest
distance you want your detector to detect motion.
5. Adjust the SENS T V TY knob until you get desired results.
For more range, aim sensor slightly upward. For less range, aim
sensor head slightly downward. Lights will turn off 4 seconds after
motion stops.
Note: Allow five seconds after light turns off before your next test.
6. Move slide switch to “AUTO”. Light will turn on at night when motion
is detected and turn off 30 seconds after motion stops.
PROPER BATTERY CARE
Note: Under normal conditions, the included battery should work for two years.
Proper care should ensure the longest possible life for your battery.
• Make sure that your solar panel is located in a sunny location.
• Allow the solar panel to collect sunlight (charge the battery) for four days
before switching the fixture ON.
• Any of the following behaviors are an indication of low charge on your battery.
Switch the fixture OFF and allow the battery four sunny days to recharge the
battery before turning the fixture back ON. A series of cloudy days may
drain your battery. Proper recharging will prolong battery life.
• When motion is detected (in AUTO mode), fixture turns on but then off after
1-3 seconds.
• When motion is detected (in AUTO mode), fixture turns on but then
flashes periodically.
• When the length of the lighting time (30 seconds) becomes noticeably shorter.
• When the fixture's brightness is noticeably dimmer.

HOW TO REPLACE BATTERY
Note: Use only the following type and size battery: Sealed Rechargeable Lead Acid
6 Volt 4 ampere hour battery. Make sure that replacement battery is same size
(2-3/4˝ x 3-7/8˝ x 1-13/16˝) as the current battery.
1. Turn the fixture to the OFF position and unplug the solar panel from the
connector extending from the bottom of the fixture housing.
2. Remove fixture from itʼs mounting surface by removing the two
screws on each side of the fixture. Remove the four screws on
the back (Fig. 8).
3. Carefully turn the fixture over and lay it on its back. Slowly lift
the front cover to the side making sure that you do not stress
the wiring.
4. Locate the two brackets that hold the battery into place and
remove the four screws (Fig. 9).
5. Lift battery and unplug the positive and negative leads.
Attach the leads from the fixture to the terminals of the
new battery, making sure to connect the positive lead to
the positive terminal and the negative lead to the
negative terminal.
6. Place the battery into the fixture and replace the two
brackets that hold the battery in place, make sure that none of the wiring is
trapped under the brackets before installing any of the screws.
7. Carefully replace fixture cover, making sure to properly seat the groove of the
top cover into the channel of the bottom cover and that none of the wiring has
been pinched.
8. Replace the four screws in the back of the fixture.
9. Mount fixture back to the mounting surface and plug in solar panel.
10. Allow fixture to receive four full days of sunlight before turning fixture ON.

Two Year Limited Warranty
Cooper Lighting, LLC (“the Company”) warrants this product (“the product”)
against defects in material or workmanship for a period of two years from date of
original purchase, and agrees to repair or, at the Companyʼs option, replace
a defective product without charge for either replacement parts or labor during such
time. This does not include labor to remove or install fixtures.
This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the product.
A purchasers receipt or other proof of date of original purchase acceptable to the
Company is required before warranty performance shall be rendered.
This warranty only covers product failure due to defects in materials or
workmanship which occurs in normal use. t does not cover the bulb or failure of the
product caused by accident, misuse, abuse, lack of reasonable care, alteration, or
faulty installation, subjecting the product to any but the specified electrical service or
any other failure not resulting from defects in materials or workmanship.
There are no express warranties except as described above.

gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from
state to state.
To obtain warranty service, please write to Cooper Lighting, LLC, 1121 Highway
74 South, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Enclose product model number and
problems you are experiencing, along with your address and telephone
number. You will then be contacted with a solution, or a Return Goods Authorization
number and full instructions for returning the product. All returned products must be
accompanied by a Return Goods Authorization Number issued by the Company and
must be returned freight prepaid. Any product received without a Return Goods
Authorization Number from the Company will be refused.
Cooper Lighting, LLC is not responsible for merchandise damaged in transit.
Repaired or replaced products shall be subject to the terms of this warranty and are
inspected when packed. Evident or concealed damage that is made in transit should
be reported at once to the carrier making the delivery and a claim filed with them.

• No toque la bombilla con las manos desnudas, ya que el aceite natural de la piel

INSTALACIÓN O REE PLAZO DE LAS BO BILLAS
Nota: Desconecte el accesorio y permita que se enfríe antes reemplazar
las bombillas.
Nota: Su artefacto está provisto de un foco halógeno de dos terminales (ʻbi-pinʼ)
G4 de 15 vatios, 6 volts. Reemplácelo siempre por otro de potencia (watts) igual o
menor. El reemplazo del foco por otro de potencia (watts) mayor, reducirá la vida útil
de la batería.
Nota: Nunca toque el foco con las manos ya que el aceite de su
piel puede acortar su duración (Fig. 2).
CUIDADO: Siempre reemplace el foco con el mismo
wattage o uno de menos wattage. No instale el foco en
el luminario con un wattage más grande. Esto puede crear
un peligro de fuego o disminuir la vida del foco.
1. Antes de reemplazar el foco, lleve el artefacto a la posición “OFF”.
2. nserte un destornillador plano en la ranura situada en el
extremo del cabezal de la lámpara, y extraiga el lente
haciendo palanca con cuidado (Fig. 3).
3. El foco, mientras está encendido o inmediatamente después
de haberse apagado, está extremadamente caliente.
4. Antes de tocarlo, espere a que se enfríe. NO toque el foco
con sus manos descubiertas.
5. Sujete el foco, y extráigalo de su zócalo tirando de él suavemente.
6. Coloque el foco de reemplazo, alineando sus terminales con los agujeros del
zócalo, y presionando hacia abajo suavemente.
7. Vuelva a colocar el lente, alineando las muescas del fondo del mismo con las
muescas del fondo del cabezal de la lámpara, y presionando luego suavemente
la parte superior hasta insertarlo a presión en su lugar.
8. Lleve nuevamente el artefacto a la posición “ON”.
INSTRUCCIONES DE INSTALACIÓN
Nota: Su accesorio está suministrado con una bombilla de halógeno de 15 vatios,
la cual es enviada en el compartimiento de la lámpara del accesorio. La lámpara
debe instalarse antes de usarse. Favor de ver la sección de “Instalación o reem-
plazo de las bombillas” de la hoja de instrucciones para las instrucciones de insta-
lación.
1. Ubique la zona en la que desea instalar su artefacto de luz.
Nota: Para que el artefacto funcione debidamente, el panel solar
debe quedar ubicado en una zona en la que reciba la máxima
cantidad posible de luz solar, y esté libre de obstrucciones.
2. Usando dos de los tornillos de montaje provistos, monte el
artefacto en una superficie sólida, a 2,45 – 3,65 m (8 – 12
pies) de altura sobre el suelo, insertando los tornillos en los
agujeros situados a ambos lados del artefacto (Fig. 4). Ajuste
el cabezal sensor, de modo que los interruptores de control
que den mirando hacia el suelo. Retire la etiqueta del frente del
cabezal sensor.

3.Usando tres de los tornillos de montaje provistos, monte el
panel solar en una superficie sólida (Fig. 5). Ajuste el ángulo
del panel solar, de modo que reciba la máxima cantidad
posible de luz solar directa durante las horas de luz diurna.
El panel solar puede montarse hasta una distancia de
4,88 m (16 pies) del artefacto de luz.
4. Con cuidado pase el cable del panel solar hasta el accesorio
y enchúfelo al conector en la parte inferior del alojamiento del
accesorio. [Por ahora, mantenga el accesorio en la posición
de apagado (OFF)]. (Fig. 6).
5. Antes de encender el artefacto, deje que reciba luz
solar durante tres días completos.
CÓ O OPERAR SU ACCESORIO
1. Después de que el accesorio haya recibido cuatro días completos de luz
solar, deslice el interruptor “ON/OFF” situado en la base del alojamiento, a la
posición “ON”.
Nota: El artefacto tiene un período de calentamiento de
alrededor de un minuto. Durante este período, es posible que
la luz se encienda. Una vez que la luz se haya apagado,
puede realizar la prueba.
2. Lleve el interruptor deslizante ubicado en el fondo del
sensor hasta la posición PRUEBA (“TEST”). Ajuste la peril
la de sensibilidad en su posición media (a mitad de camino)
(Fig. 7).
3. Dirija el detector hacia la dirección donde se espera que
haya movimiento. Mantenga por lo menos 1˝ (2,54 cm) de espacio entre la
cabeza del detector y las lámparas. Posicione siempre la cabeza del detector
con los interruptores de control apuntando hacia el suelo.
4. Camine por la zona de detección hasta la distancia más
lejana que usted desea que el detector detecte movimiento.
5. Ajuste la perilla de SENS T V TY hasta que obtenga los resultados
deseados. Para un rango mayor, oriente ligeramente el detector hacia arriba.
Para un rango menor, oriente la cabeza del detector ligeramente hacia abajo.
Las luces se apagarán 4 segundos después de que ya no haya movimiento.
Nota: Después de que la luz se haya apagado, deje pasar cinco segundos
antes de pasar a la próxima prueba.
6. Lleve el interruptor deslizante a la posición “AUTO”. La luz se encenderá por la
noche, cuando se detecte movimiento, y se apagará 30 segundos después de
que el movimiento se haya detenido.
CUIDADO ADECUADO DE LA BATERÍA
Nota: La batería incluida, bajo condiciones normales, debería funcionar dos años.
El cuidado adecuado debería asegurar el máximo tiempo de vida posible de
la batería.

• Deje que el panel solar recoja la luz del sol (carga de la batería) por cuatro
días antes de encender “ON” el accesorio.
• Cualquiera de los siguientes funcionamientos son una indicación de carga
baja en su batería. Apague “OFF” el accesorio y deje que la batería se
cargue por cuatro días en el sol, antes de volver a encenderlo “ON”. Una
serie de días nublados pueden agotar la batería. La recarga adecuada
prolonga la vida de la batería.
• Cuando se detecta movimiento (en modo “AUTO”) el accesorio se enciende y
luego se apaga después de 1 a 3 segundos.
• Cuando se detecta movimiento (en modo “AUTO”) el accesorio se enciende y

Nota: Use únicamente el siguiente tipo y tamaño de baterías:
Baterías recargables de plomo-ácido, selladas, de 6 voltios, 4 amperio, cuatro horas.
Asegúrese de que la batería de reemplazo sea de las mismas dimensiones que la
batería existente [2-3/4˝ x 3-7/8˝ x 1-13/16˝ ( 6,9 cm x 9,8 cm x 4,6 cm)].
1. Lleve el artefacto a la posición “OFF”, y desenchufe el panel solar
del fondo del artefacto enchúfelo al conector en la parte inferior
del alojamiento del accesorio.
2. Retire el artefacto de su superficie de montaje, quitando los dos
tornillos situados a ambos lados del mismo. Retire los cuatro
tornillos de la parte posterior (Fig. 8).
3. Vuelque cuidadosamente el artefacto, y apóyelo sobre su
parte posterior. Lleve lentamente la cubierta frontal hacia
el costado, asegurándose de no someter a esfuerzos
el cableado.
4. Localice los dos soportes que sostienen la batería en su
lugar, y quite los cuatro tornillos (Fig. 9).
5. Levante la batería, y desenchufe los cables positivo y
negativo. Conecte los cables del artefacto a los terminales
de la nueva batería, asegurándose de conectar el cable
positivo al terminal positivo, y el cable negativo al terminal negativo.
6. Coloque la batería en el artefacto, y vuelva a colocar los dos soportes que la
sostienen; antes de instalar cualquiera de los tornillos, asegúrese de que no
quede atrapado ningún cable bajo un soporte.
7. Vuelva a colocar cuidadosamente la cubierta del artefacto, asegurándose de
asentar debidamente el encastre de la cubierta superior en el canal de la
cubierta inferior, y de que no quede apretado ningún cable.
8. Vuelva a colocar los cuatro tornillos de la parte posterior del artefacto.
9. Vuelva a montar el artefacto en su superficie de montaje, y enchúfelo en el
panel solar.
10. Antes de encender el accesorio, deje que reciba luz solar durante cuatro días
completos.

• Ne pas utiliser lʼappareil dʼéclairage si lʼécran de protection est manquant ou
endommagé.
• Appareil dʼéclairage convient à une installation murale seulement. Ne convient
pas aux installations au sol.

CONSERVEZ CES INSTRUCTIONS.
POUR LES EILLEURS RÉSULTATS
• Positionnez le panneau solaire à un emplacement recevant un maximum de
lumière solaire durant la journée.
• Laissez lʼappareil recevoir trois jours complets de lumière solaire avant de mettre
lʼéclairage en position de marche.
• nstallez votre appareil 2,4 - 3,6 m au dessus du sol (le détecteur
de mouvement est moins sensible sʼil est placé plus haut).
• Positionnez lʼappareil de façon à ce que le mouvement
traverse le champ de détection (Sch. 1).
• Positionnez lʼappareil à lʼécart des sources thermiques
pour éviter des déclenchements erronés. Faites
également attention de ne pas avoir, si possible, de fenêtres,
murs blancs et eau dans la zone de détection.
• Positionnez lʼappareil à lʼécart des objets mouvants
tels que les arbres et le trafic de rue.
• Vous aurez à ajuster lʼangle du panneau solaire au cours des différentes

• Pendant les périodes prolongées avec ciel nuageux, la batterie se déchargera
et aura besoin de se recharger avec le retour du plein soleil.

Remarque : Coupez le courant et laissez lʼappareil d'éclairage refroidir avant
de retirer les ampoules grillées.
Remarque : Votre appareil est fourni avec une ampoule 6 volts à deux broches
de 15 watts. Remplacez-la toujours par une identique ou une moins puissante. Le
remplacement par une ampoule de plus forte puissance réduirait la durée de vie de
la batterie.
Remarque : Ne touchez jamais lʼampoule à mains nues car la
peau grasse de vos mains peut causer une défaillance
prématurée (Sch. 2).
PRÉCAUTION : Lorsque vous remplacez une ampoule,
toujours utiliser une ampoule de même puissance ou de puissance
inférieure. Ne pas utiliser une ampoule dʼune puissance plus élevée
que celle recommandée pour lʼappareil. Ceci pourrait occasionner un
risque dʼincendie et/ou réduire la durée de lʼampoule.
1. Avant de remplacer lʼampoule, passez lʼappareil en position dʼarrêt.
2. nsérez la lame plate d'un tournevis dans la fente à l'extrémité
de la tête de lampe et sortez délicatement le verre (Sch. 3).
3. Lʼampoule est extrêmement chaude si elle est allumée ou
vient juste dʼêtre éteinte.
4. Laissez refroidir lʼampoule avant de la toucher.
NE TOUCHEZ PAS lʼampoule à mains nues.
5. Prenez lʼampoule et sortez-la délicatement de sa douille.
6. Placez lʼampoule de remplacement en alignant ses broches avec les bornes
de la douille et en lʼenfonçant doucement.
7. Remettez le verre en place en alignant les crans en bas du verre avec ceux du
bas de la tête de lampe, et en appuyant doucement sur son haut jusquʼà
lʼencliquetage en place.
8. Remettez lʼappareil en position de marche.
INSTRUCTIONS DʼINSTALLATION
Remarque : Votre projecteur est livré avec une ampoule halogène de 15 W qui se
trouve dans le compartiment dʼampoule du projecteur. Lʼampoule doit être installée
avant utilisation. Veuillez voir la section « Comment remplacer lʼampoule » sur la
