Before using this product, please read these
instructions carefully.
This commode has been designed for a single occupant
who requires assistance to move to and from the toilet
easily and safely with the minimum of difculty.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Unpack the carton and select the wheeled base.1.
Apply the brakes by pressing down on the brake plates with your foot.2.
Take the back support, and with the push handle to the rear, t the arms and 3.
back to the base frame, leaving the arms to hang down.
Use the hand wheels at the rear of the frame to secure the two parts of the frame4.
together. Ensure that they are screwed in tightly.
Lift the arms until they lock securely into the front clips.5.
Fit the commode seat with the lip to the front. 6.
Fit the padded cushion over the seat. The location lugs underneath the seat should 7.
line up front to back and the cushion should just overhang the front of the seat.
Fit the foot rests by locating the two brackets on each foot rest support over8.
the two lugs situated on the outside of each front leg. The footrest release lever
should be on the inside of the chair
Slide the commode pan under the seat from the rear of the chair and make sure9.
that it is securely in position.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Always apply the brakes before transferring a person onto or from the chair.1.
Lift the footplates and fold the foot rests to each side before transfer.2.
For side transfer, pull the locking knob of the armrest with one hand (on the 3.
required side) while lowering the armrest with the other hand. Do not allow the
armrest to fall.
After transfer, replace the armrest into position ensuring that it has locked4.
rmly in place.
Replace the footrests and check they have locked rmly into position.5.
Always make sure that the commode pan has been securely locked into place6.
before use.
SAFETY
For indoor use only on at hard surfaces•
Do not use in the shower•
Always lock the brakes when the user is seated•
Do not stand on the footrests•
Do not pick up the chair whilst the user is seated•
If picking up an object from the chair, ensure the castors are positioned towards•
the object to increase the stability of the chair.
Do not use or store in extreme temperatures and avoid storing in direct •
sunlight.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Regularly check and tighten as required all clips, nuts and bolts. •
Regularly inspect the entire chair for excessive wear and replace parts where •
necessary. This includes brakes.
It is recommended that the chair is cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and soapy•
water. Dry with a soft cloth. Excessive moisture may cause corrosion.
Do not use any abrasive cleaners or wire wool pads. The commode pan • cannot
be cleaned in an autoclave.
Always thoroughly inspect the chair before use after maintenance or cleaning to•
ensure that it is functioning correctly.
DISPOSAL
The product does not contain any hazardous substances. Dispose of the individual
parts at your local facility.

LIFE EXPECTANCY
All Coopers products are warranted for 12 months from the date of purchase
against manufacturing or design defects.
The warranty is subject to the following conditions:
• It does not apply to wear and tear, inappropriate or incorrect use, or non-
observance of User Instructions.
• Defective set up by the user or third parties or negligent or careless
treatment.
• Use of unsuitable or unapproved spares or unauthorised alteration.
•The warranty does not extend to consequential costs resulting from fault
clearance, loss of earnings or expenses
THIS IN NO WAY AFFECTS YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.
We estimate a life expectancy of 2 years for this product, provided that:
• It is used in strict accordance with the intended use as set out in this
document.
• All service and maintenance requirements are met.
The estimated life expectancy can be exceeded if the product is carefully used
and properly maintained.
The life expectancy can also be considerably reduced by extreme or incorrect
usage.
The fact that we estimate a life expectancy for this product does not constitute
an additional warranty.
