Coopers Rolling Shower and Commode
chairs have the exclusive purpose of
providing a means in which a person can
have their bathing and or toileting needs
addressed. Either as part of a rehabilitation
programme e.g. when the user is recovering
from an injury or operation; and as a long
term bathing / toileting aid, e.g. when the
user has permanent difculty with walking
and standing in a shower and or lowering or
raising themselves fully into bath or onto a
standard toilet. Coopers Rolling Shower and Commode chairs are for indoor
use only
Before using this product, please read these instructions carefully. They
contain instructions for the safe and proper use of your chair.
SAFETY
Do not exceed the stated maximum user weight•

Always lock the brakes when the user is seated•
Donotstandonthefootrests•
Do not pick up the chair whilst the user is seated•
Ifpickingupanobjectfromthechair,ensurethecastorsarepositionedtowards•
theobjecttoincreasethestabilityofthechair
Do not use or store in extreme temperatures and avoid storing in direct sunlight.•

SETTING UP
SET THE SEAT FRAME AND BASE PLATE
Lifttheseatframeupslightlyoutofthebaseplate.Aligntheholesintheseat1.
framewiththeholesinthebaseplateandsecureinplaceusingahorseshoe
clip.
Ensurethateachcorneroftheframeissetatthesameheight.2.
ATTACH THE WHEELS
Placetheseatframeonitsside.
To attach the front castor wheels:
Insertoneofthecastorwheelsintothetubingatthefrontcorneroftheframe.1.
Lineuptheholesinbothtubesandsecureinplaceusingoneofthehorseshoe
clips.Pushthecliprmlyuntilitaudiblylocksinplaceandsitsushwiththe
tube.
To attach the rear quick-release wheels:
Pressthequick-releasebuttonontheaxlewithyourthumbandgripthewheel1.
tightly.
Slidetheaxleintotheaxlesleeveonthechairuntilitlocksintoposition.2.
Turntheframeoverandinserttheremainingtwowheelsasabove.
ATTACH THE SEAT
Lockthefrontwheelsbypressingthebrakeswithyourfoot.1.
Locktherearwheelsusingthetwohandbrakesatthesideofchair.2.
Attachtheseatbyclippingitontotheseatframeandpushingdownrmly.Ensure3.
allfourclipsareattachedtotheseatframe.Thecutoutsectionoftheseatshould
bepositionedatthefrontofthechair.
ATTACH THE BACKREST
Takethebackrestsectionandstandingattherearofthechairtintothebase1.
frame.
Securebyinsertingandtighteningtheblacksecuringknobs.2.
ATTACH THE FOOTRESTS
Insertthefootresttubeintotheopentubeatthefrontoftheframe.Secureby1.
pushingahorseshoeclipthroughtheholeinthefootrestandframetube.
Repeatwiththeotherfootrest.Ensurethatbothfootrestsaresetatthesame2.

ATTACH THE COMMODE PAN
Slidethecommodepanundertheseatfromtherearofthechair.1.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
ADJUSTING THE SEAT HEIGHT
Theseatheightcanbeadjustedtosuittheuser.Asaruletheseatisatthecorrect
heightwhentheuserissittingontheseatandbothfeettouchtheground.
The height must be the same on both sides.
Donotattempttoadjusttheheightwiththeusersittinginit.
Remove the commode pan, seat and backrest by reversing the instructions1.
previously given.
Removethehorseshoeclipssecuringtheseatframetothebaseplate.2.
Adjusttheheightoftheseatframe,thensecurebyre-insertingthehorseshoe3.
clips.
ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE FOOTRESTS
Removethehorseshoeclips.1.
Setthefootrestatthecorrectheightandlineuptheholes.2.
Re-insertthehorseshoeclips.3.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE
Alwaysapplythefrontandrearbrakesbeforetransferringapersonontoorfrom1.
thechair,andwhenthechairisstationary.
Removethefootplatesbeforetransfer.2.
Forsidetransfer,liftupthearmrest.3.
Aftertransfer,replacethearmrestintopositionensuringthatithaslockedrmly4.

CAUTION! When folding the armrests up or down, take care not to trap
any body parts
Replacethefootrestsandlockintopositionusingtheclips.5.
Always make sure that the commode pan has been securely locked into place6.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Regularlycheckandtightenasrequiredallclips,nutsandbolts.•
Regularlyinspecttheentirechairforfatigueandreplacepartswherenecessary•
including brakes.
Itisrecommendedthatthechairiscleanedregularlywithasoftclothandsoapy•
water.Drywithasoftcloth.
Do not use any abrasive cleaners or wire wool pads. The commode pan• cannot
be cleaned in an autoclave.
Alwaysthoroughlyinspectthechairbeforeuseaftermaintenanceorcleaning•
toensurethatitisfunctioningcorrectly.

The warranty is subject to the following conditions:
•Itdoesnotapplytowearandtear,inappropriateorincorrectuse,ornon-observance
