The Door Contact is designed for easy installation that provides door security for
internal and external doors. Once activated, the Door Contact transmits a radio
signal to either a Display Panel or CT Touch indicating the door identity. The Door
Contact can also be turned off allowing for access without activating the nurse call
system.

Setting the Economy+ Door Contact
To arm the Economy+ Door Contact, the door
must be firmly shut with the Economy+ Door
Contact in line with the magnet on the door frame.
Using the key provided with the Economy+ Door
Contact, turn the key switch to the ‘On’ position.
The Economy+ Door Contact will now sound for
20 seconds. This 20 second delay allows you to
open the door and exit if you wish.
Wait until the 20 second delay has completed. The
Economy+ Door Contact is now armed and should
the door be opened.
Resetting the Economy+ Door Contact
If opened, it will then activate the nurse call
system and the Reassurance LED Light on the
Economy + Door Contact will flash.
To reset the Economy+ Door Contact you first
must close the door firmly with the Economy+
Door Contact and magnet on the door frame in
line.
Press the red Reset button once and this will clear
the Nurse Call System.

Before commencing with the programming of your Economy+ Door Contact, you
must know the House Code of your call system. If you are not aware of your House
Code, please call our technical support number which you can find on the last page
of this guide.
You must complete all steps from 1 to 12. You cannot just change the Door Contact
Number alone.
Please read through the instructions fully before commencing.
1. Press and hold the reset button
2. Press the call button once
3. Release the reset button only
4. Press the call button once
5. Press the reset button the amount of times for your House Code.
For example; press reset twice for House Code 2.
6. Press the call button once
7. Press the reset button the amount of hundreds you require.
For example for 200 press reset twice. If no hundreds are required press the
call button.
8. Press the reset button the amount of tens you require.
For example for 20 press reset twice. If no tens are required press the call
button.
9. Press the reset button the amount of units you require.
For example for 2 press reset twice. If no units are required press the call
button.
10. Press reset the amount of times you want the urgency of the Door Contact.
(Call –0 times, Assistance - once, Emergency - twice)
11. Press the call button once
12. The Economy+ Door Contact is now coded to your new settings.

To test the Economy+ Door Contact, press the call button once and the LED
will flash and activate your call system. Press reset once you have finished
testing.
The simple measure of replacing the batteries may solve the issue you are
experiencing with the Economy+ Door Contact. If not, then please read through this
troubleshooting page.
Rapid LED flashing on the Door Contact
This means the batteries need replacing. Carefully open the Economy+ Door
Contact and replace the 2 x CR2032 coin cell batteries. Once replaced press the red
Reset button on the front of the Economy+ Door Contact.
Door Contact is turned ‘On’ but not activating call system
First replace the batteries as done in the step above. If the problem persists, the
Economy+ Door Contact may need recoding to your call system setting. Follow the
House Code and number coding instructions found on the programming page in this
guide.
Changing the call type urgency
Follow the coding instructions found on the programming page of this guide and one
of the final steps gives you some options for the urgency level for this Economy+
Door Contact.
Door Contact alarms itself whilst door is shut
The magnet can be placed to the left and right hand side of the Economy+ Door
Contact depending on the type of door, restricted space etc. Open the Economy+
Door Contact carefully and in between the two blue rectangle reed switches there is
a black slide switch. This black slide switch must be pointing to the magnet on the
door frame. The centre of the magnet must be in line with the words “Courtney-
Thorne” on the front of the Economy+ Door Contact. Please look on the Operations
