Your panel serves as the heart of your system. It should be placed in a central
location within your home. The panel must be within 5 feet of an electrical outlet
that does not have a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) button and is not controlled
by a switch. Secure the plug to the outlet with the provided screw to avoid accidental
power failure. After the panel is plugged in, it will establish communication with the
monitoring center. This may take several minutes.
