2 Network Problem
2.1 IPC is Offline from Time to Time
Solution 1: Check the network connection or whether the network cable is loose.
Solution 2: Check whether there is IP conflict.
Solution 3: Check whether the device is under proper power supply.
Solution 4: Check whether the device has been upgraded to a wrong program.
2.2 Online Upgrade Failed
Solution 1: Log in again to check whether the upgrade is successful, because sometimes the progress
bar is not displayed in time due to the network environment.
Solution 2: Check whether the network connection is proper, and there is disconnection or power
failure during upgrade.
Solution 3: Check whether the program and the device are matched.
Solution 4: Re-upgrade through 25001 port of the IP Finder (25001 port needs to upgrade matched
program).
2.3 After Upgrading, "Ping" Test is OK, but Login Failed
Possible reason: Check whether the WEB port was modified.
Solution 1: Reset the device and log in again.
Solution 2: Re-upgrade through 25001 port of IP Finder (25001 needs to upgrade matched program).
2.4 No Video after Upgrading; Device Keeps Rebooting
Solution 1: Check whether there is IP conflict or network disconnection.
Solution 2: Check whether the device is under proper power supply.
Solution 3: If camera was disassembled before, check whether any inside cable joint is loose.
Solution 4: Check whether the program matches the IPC model, or the N/P configuration is correct.
Solution 5: Check whether the control and the WEB are correct, or whether the control is permitted
to run in Windows 7. You can delete the control in C:\Program Files\webrec, and then wipe IE cache
to reload the control and the WEB. You need to run IE as administrator in Windows 7, and if you do
not use IE browser, be sure to install QuickTime plug-in.

9
2.5 "Limited Resources, Failed to Enable Video" is
Displayed
Solution 1: Network bandwidth is not enough; use a switcher with bigger bandwidth.
Solution 2: Too many users have logged in, and the stream output capacity is not enough.
Solution 3: Disconnect the network or restart the device repeatedly.
2.6 Video Window Requires Control, but " " is
Displayed
Solution 1: IE permission setting is not correct and add IPC IP address as trusted site.
Solution 2: In IE explorer, select Internet Options > Security > Custom Level > Active X Control
and Plug-in, and then select Enable for all the options.
Solution 3: You need to run Windows 7 as administrator, and then login the IPC for the first time.

3 Image Problem
3.1 IR Imaging is Not Very Well
Possible reason 1: Not all IR lights are powered up due to incorrect power supply.
Possible reason 2: The target is too far and is out of the range of the IR lights.
Possible reason 3: IR-CUT is set as color mode, and the sensor is failed to receive IR light.
Possible reason 4: When the device is being placed on the table (especially on one with rough
surface), the IR light that went to the table surface would be reflected to the lens, which will cause
poor IR imaging and pale picture. In this condition, you can adjust the lens to elevation angle or
place the device at the edge of the table.
3.2 Failed to Record Video or Take Snapshot
Possible reason: Snapshot Schedule is incorrect; storage path is incorrect; Record Mode has been
set to Off.
Solution 1: Configure Record Schedule and Snapshot Schedule in the Web interface. See IPC WEB
Operation Manual.
Solution 2: Check whether the Destination is enabled in the Web interface.
Solution 3: Check whether the target SD card or FTP server is properly connected, and you can test
the FTP server connection with your PC.
Solution 4: Set Record Mode to Manual or Auto in the Web interface.
3.3 Black Border Appears in the Image after Upgrading
Solution 1: Restore the camera to factory default.
Solution 2: The program is not matched with the IPC model, re-upgrade with correct program.
3.4 Stripes Appear in the Image
Possible reason 1: Bad connection for the video cable.
Possible reason 2: Strong current interference.
3.5 Image is On and Off
Possible reason: Bad connection for the video cable

11
3.6 Grey Screen Appears
Description: When grey screen appears, it returns to normal temporarily after power off and reboot,
but then happens repeatedly.
Possible reason: Caused by insufficient power supply.
Solution: Check whether the IPC power supply is correct, or the power adapter is too far from the
IPC.
3.7 HD or SD IR Dome Camera has IR Image Reflection
or Haze in the Image
Solution: Put the IR-blocking ring on the lens or adjust the light-blocking ring to a proper position.

12
4 Other Problems
4.1 I Forgot the Device IP Address
Solution 1: Find the device IP address with IP Finder tool.
Solution 2: With the device MAC address, you can modify device IP address with ARP/Ping
command. See WEB Operation Manual.
Solution 3: If you use Mac OS, you can use a browser that contains Bonjour service to search the
Bonjour server name of the IPC, and then login.
4.2 I Cannot Login the Web Interface
Possible reason: User name and password are not correct, network or power adapter problems.
Solution 1: Please enter correct user name and password.
Solution 2: Check whether the network cable is in good condition; check whether the network
configuration is correct; pull out the network cable plug in again.
Solution 3: Use original power adapter.
4.3 I Cannot Open the Recorded Audio or Video
Possible reason: Player problem.
Solution 1: Download the original player from the disc.
Solution 2: Install Direct X tool with the version above DX8.1.
Solution 3: Convert them to AVI format, and then play them with the any MEDIA PLAYER.
4.4 Day/Night Switch is Invalid
Possible reason: Device system time is not the same as PC time.
Solution 1: Login the web interface, then select Camera Setting > Camera Property > Configuration
file management > Switch according to time, and then set time period according to the PC time.
Solution 2: Synchronize the device time and PC time.
4.5 Device Waterproof Ability Compromised
Solution 1: Users dismantled the device themselves, but not assembled properly.
Solution 2: The front cover glass was squeezed or struck by external force.
Solution3: The waterproof plug on the rear cover is loose.

13
4.6 IPC Failed to Identify SD Card
Solution 1: Check whether the SD card slot is loose.
Solution 2: Check whether the SD card can be identified by your PC.
4.7 Configuration Display Does Not Match with the
Actual
Solution 1: Refresh the interface.
Solution 2: It is caused by the modification of IPC config, and it is not a hardware issue. Users can
check all the servers or other devices that are connected to the IPC and find out which one is
controlling the IPC. One of the known issues indicates that the CMS software decoder would modify
the Baud rate of some IPC, which makes the IPC control invalid.
4.8 Power Adapter is Unsteady
Solution: The power adapter working temperature is 0℃to 40℃, and the power supply might
become unsteady when the temperature is not within this range. Therefore, it is necessary to
change to industrial power adapter.
4.9 Storage Invalid
Solution 1: Check whether the SD card status is set as read only, and you need to change it to
read/write.
Solution 2: Check whether the SD card can be detected.
Solution 3: Check whether the SD card has been damaged.
Solution 4: Check whether the SD card is full, or you can format the SD card in web interface. You
can also select Storage management > Video control > hard disk full, and then select Overwrite.
4.10 Failed to Save Configuration
Solution: Reset the device, and then configure it again.
