Read,understand,andfollowallinstructionsonyourequipmentand•

manualinasafeplaceforfutureandregularreferenceandforordering
replacement parts.
Tohelpavoidbladecontactorathrownobjectinjury,keepbystanders,•
helpers, children and pets at least 75 feet from the mower while it is in
operation. Stop machine if anyone enters the area.
Thoroughlyinspecttheareawheretheequipmentistobeused.Remove•
allstones,sticks,wire,bones,toys,andotherforeignobjectswhich
couldbepickedupandthrownbytheblade(s).Thrownobjectscan
causeseriouspersonalinjury.
Alwayswearsafetyglassesorsafetygogglesduringoperationandwhile•
performinganadjustmentorrepairtoprotectyoureyes.Thrownobjects
whichricochetcancauseseriousinjurytotheeyes.
Donotoperatethemowerwithoutthedischargecoverorentiregrass•
catcherinitsproperplace.Amissingordamageddischargecoveror

SLOPE OPERATION
Slopesareamajorfactorrelatedtolossofcontrolandtip-overaccidents
whichcanresultinsevereinjuryordeath.Attachmentscanalsoaffectthe
stabilityofthemachine.Allslopesrequireextracaution.
Foryoursafety,usetheslopeguideincludedaspartofthismanualto
estimatetheangleofslopesbeforeoperatingthismachineonaslopedorhilly
area.Iftheslopeisgreaterthan10degreesasshownontheslopeguide,do
notoperatethemowerwiththegrassbagattachmentinstalledonthatareaor
seriousinjurycouldresult.

Assemble Mounting Brackets
Toassemblethebaggermountingassembly,locatethehitchbracket
kit and follow these steps:
Attachtheright-handandlefthandriderhitchbrackettothe1.
universalrearattachmentbracketusingthefourcarriagebolts(710-
0276)andflangelocknuts(712-04063)packedwiththemounting
brackets.Positionthebracketswiththehooksontheright-handand
lefthandriderhitchbracketpointingdownward,andthetabsonthe
universalrearattachmentbracketpointingupwards.SeeFig.4.
Identify The Model of Tractor
Thismanualisdesignedforinstallationofthisnewbagginguniton
several different models of tractors. It is important for you to determine
which model of tractor that you have. Once this is known, follow the
pertinentsetofinstructionsonthefollowingpages.
To determine which model of rider you have, you will need to locate
the rider’s model plate, located under the seat. Simply flip the seat up
andlocatethemodelplate,whichwillconsistofan11digit/lettermodel
numberandaserialnumber.
The5th,6th&7thnumbersfromtheleftinyourmodelnumber
determine your rider’s model series.
Model Series 700 Tractors
Ifyouareassemblingthisbaggerunitforuseonanymodel700
seriestractoryouwillneedtoinstallthetwotractormountingbrackets
packedinyourbaggerkit.Ifyouareinstallingthisbaggerunitonany
othertractor,disregardthesestepsandmovetoAssembleMounting
Brackets.
Toinstallthesebracketsonamodel700seriestractor,followthese
steps:
Installashoulderboltfromyourhardwarepackoneachbracket,1.
securingthemwithflangelocknutsalsoincludedinthehardware
pack.RefertoFig.1.
Removeanddiscardtherear-mostscrewinthelower,leftframe2.
asseeninFig.2(ModelSeries78Xonly).
Discard existing bolts, if present, and
replace with bolts from hardware pack
Secure bracket using eight 5/16-18 x .750 hex tap
screws
Clevis pin used on all

Note: Feedtheclevispindownthroughthehitchsupportand
secureit,usingtheholeclosesttothehead,underneathwiththe
hairpinclip.However,youmayfinditeasiertofeedtheclevispin
upthroughthehitchplateholeandsecurewiththehairpinclipon
the topside.
Note: Thisuniversalmountingbracketassemblyisdesignedto
workwithotheravailableattachments,suchasaweightkitusedin
conjunctionwiththesnowbladeorsnowthrowerattachment.Utilize
thecontactinformationonthefrontorbackcoverofthismanual,or
contactthestoreinwhichyoupurchasedthisequipmenttofindout
moreaboutavailableattachmentsforyourspecifictractor.

Assembleitbyfollowingthesesteps:
