About Your Creative WebCam
Power LED Lights up when your Creative WebCam is connected to your computer's USB port.
Focus ring Adjusts the view focus. Point the lens toward your subject and then rotate this ring in
a clockwise or counterclockwise motion until the image is in focus.

Getting Started
1Installing Your Creative WebCam
1. Do not connect your Creative WebCam to your computer before installing the
drivers. If you accidentally begin installation with your Creative WebCam connected
and the Add New Hardware Wizard or Found New Hardware Wizard dialog
box appears, click the Cancel button.
2. Insert the Installation and Applications CD into your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.
Your CD should start automatically. If it does not, follow the steps below:
i. Double-click the My Computer icon.
ii. Right-click the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive icon, and then click Autoplay.
3. Select the region you are in and then click the Next button.
4. Select a language and then click the Next button.
5. Click the options for installing drivers and applications, and then click the Install
button.
For users with USB 2.0-equipped computers only:
Creative Installation automatically checks that the software components required for optimal USB
2.0 performance are installed on your computer, and alerts you if these components are missing.
If you receive such a message, do either of the following to ensure that your Creative WebCam
always performs to its fullest potential over a USB 2.0 connection:
• install the driver provided by the vendor of your USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller; or
• download and install the latest Service Pack (SP) for your respective Windows
®
Operating
System.
Should you choose to install Windows XP SP1, you must install Windows XP Hotfix
KB822603 as well. The latest Windows Service Packs (including Windows XP SP1) and
Windows Hotfix KB822603 can be obtained from the Microsoft Help and Support website
or via Windows Update.

6. Place your Creative WebCam on top of your computer monitor or other flat surface.
For LCD flat panel monitors or notebook computers, use the integrated hinged lever
to balance the Creative WebCam (see Figure 2).
7. When prompted, connect your Creative WebCam's USB cable to an available USB
port on your computer (see Figure 3). Windows®automatically detects the device.
In Windows XP only:
i. When the Found New Hardware Wizard dialog box appears, select Install the software
automatically (Recommended), and then click the Next button.
ii. When a Hardware Installation dialog box appears, click the Continue Anyway button.

In Windows 2000 only:
When a Digital Signature Not Found dialog box appears, telling you that Creative WebCam
Live! Effects has been detected, click the Ye s button.
In Windows Me and Windows 98 SE only:
i. If you are prompted to insert the Windows 98 SE or Windows Me CD, replace the
Installation and Applications CD with the appropriate CD.
ii. In the Insert Disk dialog box, click the OK button.
8. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the installation.
9. If prompted to restart your computer, select No until all the applications are installed.
10. Restart your computer after all the applications have been installed.
2Verifying the Installation
1. Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop or in the Windows Start menu.
2. On the menu that appears, click Properties.
In Windows XP and Windows 2000 only:
In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. Click the Device Manager
button.
In Windows Me and Windows 98 SE:
In the System Properties dialog box, click the Device Manager tab.
3. Click the plus (+) sign next to the Imaging Device icon. The entry "Creative
WebCam Live! Effects" appears.

3Using Your Creative WebCam
Taking a Photo
1. Click Start →Programs →Creative →Creative WebCam →Creative
WebCam Center.
2. In the Creative WebCam Center window, click the Capture tab.
3. Click the Photo Resolution box and select the resolution that you want.
4. Click the Snap photo button to capture an image. Images are saved as files in the
default media folder.
To view the photos in the image viewer, double-click the image files in the Thumbnails/
Details pane.
Recording a Video
1. Click Start →Programs →Creative →Creative WebCam →Creative
WebCam Center.
2. In the Creative WebCam Center window, click the Capture tab.
3. Click the Video Resolution box and select the resolution that you want.
4. Click the Record button to start and stop video recording. Videos are saved as files in
the default media folder when you stop recording.
To view the videos in the video viewer, double-click the video files in the Thumbnails/
Details pane.

Enabling Advanced Video FX Utility
Advanced Video FX Utility enables you to add fun and interesting effects to your webcam
video. You can launch the Advanced Video FX Utility in the following ways:
• In WebCam Center, click Tools →Advanced Video FX Utility.
• Right-click the Creative Cam Detector icon in the System Tray and click the
Advanced Video FX Utility option.
•ClickStart →Programs or All Programs →Creative →Creative WebCam
Features →Advanced Video FX Utility.
To apply a video effect, do the following:
1. Launch Advanced Video FX Utility.
2. Click the Select Category box (if available), and select the type of effect you want.
3. Click the Select Effect box, and select the specific effect you want.
4. Launch WebCam Center.
Click Start -> Programs or All Programs →Creative →Creative WebCam
→Creative WebCam Center.
5. In WebCam Center, select Creative WebCam (With Video Effects) from the
Device list box.
• Make sure you launch Advanced Video FX Utility before launching WebCam Center.
•TheSelect Category box is available only when you download more video effects. For
more information, click More →More video effects.
To add the downloaded video effects to Advanced Video FX Utility, click More →Add
video effects.
• For more information on Advanced Video FX Utility, refer to the Creative WebCam
Features online Help.

Enabling Face Tracking
With Face Tracking, your camera automatically zooms in on your face during video instant
messaging sessions, or when recording video.
You can enable Face Tracking in the Face Tracking Utility. You can launch the Face Tracking
Utility in the following ways:
• In WebCam Center, click To o l s →Face Tracking Utility.
• Right-click the Creative Cam Detector icon in the System Tray and click the Face
Tracking Utility option.
•ClickStart →Programs or All Programs →Creative →Creative WebCam
Features →Face Tracking Utility.

ご使用の準備
1ソフトウェアのインストール
1. ソフトウェアをインストールする前に Creative WebCam をコンピューターに接
続しないで下さい。WebCam を接続してしまった場合は新しいハードウェアの
追加ウィザードダイアログボックスが表示されますのでキャンセル
ボタンをクリックして、コンピューターから WebCam を取り外して下さい。
2. インストレーション CD をコンピューターの CD/DVD ドライブに挿入します。
インストールメニューが自動的に現れない場合は次の手順に従って下さい：
i. スタートメニューやデスクトップのマイコンピュータを開きます。
ii. インストレーション CD を挿入した CD/DVD ドライブのアイコン選んで右クリックしま
す。
iii.ポップアップメニューより自動再生をクリックします。
3. インストールメニューの指示に従い、国 / 地域（日本の場合はアジア）や言語
（日本語）を選んで次へをクリックします。
4. インストールするソフトウェアを選んでインストールをクリックします。
USB 2.0 を装備したコンピューターをお使いの場合 :
Creative のインストーラーは、USB 2.0 の最適なパフォーマンスに必要なソフトウェア
コンポーネントがコンピュータにインストールされているかどうかを自動的に検証し、
これらのコンポーネントがない場合は警告します。このような警告が表示された場合、
次のいずれかを実行し、お使いの製品が USB 2.0 を接続した状態で常に最高のパフォー
マンスで動作するようにして下さい：
･ ハードウェアベンダーから支給された USB 2.0 ドライバーをインストールする
･ お使いのオペレーティングシステムの最新のサービスパックをダウンロードし、
インストールする
Windows XP SP1 をインストールした場合は、Windows XP Hotfix KB822603 もイン
ストールする必要があります。最新の Windows Service Pack および Windows
Hotfix KB822603 は、Microsoft サポート オンラインの Web サイトか Windows
Update で入手出来ます。

5. 図 2 の様に液晶モニターに引掛けたり、ヒンジレバーを閉じた状態で平坦な
場所に置き、Creative WebCam を設置します。
6. Creative WebCam の接続を促す画面が表示されたら、図 3 の様に WebCam の USB
ケーブルをコンピューターの USB ポートに接続します。Windows®は自動的に
WebCam を認識します。
Windows XP をお使いの場合：
i. 新しいハードウェアの検出ウィザードダイアログボックスが表示されたら、ソフト
ウェアを自動的にインストールする（推奨）選択し、次へボタンをクリックします。
ii. 警告メッセージが表示されたら、はいボタンをクリックしてインストールを続行します。

i. Windows の CD を要求されたらインストレーション CD を取り出して Windows の CD と
交換します。
ii. ディスクを挿入ダイアログボックスの OK ボタンをクリックし、画面の指示に従います。
7. ドライバーのインストール後、コンピューターを再起動するかを尋ねられる場合
があります。全てのインストールが完了するまで再起動は行わないで下さい。
8. 画面の指示に従いインストールを完了させ、コンピューターを再起動します。
2インストールの確認
1. スタートメニューやデスクトップのマイコンピュータアイコンを選んで
右クリックします。
2. ポップアップメニューよりプロパティをクリックします。
Windows XP または Windows 2000 をお使いの場合：
システムのプロパティダイアログボックスが現れますのでハードウェアタブをクリックし、
デバイスマネージャボタンをクリックします。
Windows Me または Windows 98 SE をお使いの場合：
システムのプロパティダイアログボックスが現れますので、デバイスマネージャタブを
クリックします。
3. イメージングデバイスツリーの + 記号をクリックします。Creative WebCam
Live! Effects が見つけられない場合は、ソフトウェアのインストールを再度
行ってみて下さい。

3WebCam の使用
写真の撮影
1. スタート →すべてのプログラムまたはプログラム →Creative →Creative
WebCam →Creative WebCam Center をクリックします。
2. Creative WebCam Center のウィンドウでスチル / ビデオキャプチャタブをク
リックします。
3. 静止画の解像度リストより写真のサイズを選択します。
4. 静止画のキャプチャボタンをクリックします。
撮影した写真は指定されれているメディアフォルダに保存されます。
撮影した写真を参照するには、サムネイル / 詳細表示パネルの画像ファイルを
ダブルクリックします。
動画の撮影
1. スタート →すべてのプログラムまたはプログラム →Creative →Creative
WebCam →Creative WebCam Center をクリックします。
2. Creative WebCam Center のウィンドウでスチル / ビデオキャプチャタブをク
リックします。
3. 動画の解像度リストよりビデオのフレームサイズを選択します。
4. 動画のキャプチャボタンをクリックします。
撮影したビデオは指定されれているメディアフォルダに保存されます。

アドバンスドビデオエフェクトの使用
アドバンスドビデオエフェクトユーティリティは WebCam の映像に様々な
エフェクトを付け加える選べるユニークなソフトウェアです。
アドバンスドビデオエフェクトユーティリティを起動するには：
･ WebCam Center のメニューよりツール →アドバンスドビデオエフェクトユー
ティリティをクリックします。
･ Windows タスクバーのシステムトレイの Creative Cam Detector アイコンを右ク
リックして、ポップアップメニューよりアドバンスドビデオエフェクトユー
ティリティをクリックします。
･スタート →すべてのプログラムまたはプログラム →Creative →Creative
WebCam フィーチャー →アドバンスドビデオエフェクトユーティリティを
クリックします。
ビデオエフェクトを適用するには：
1. アドバンスドビデオエフェクトユーティリティを起動します。
2. カテゴリリストが存在する場合は、使用したいエフェクトの種類を選択します。
3. エフェクトリストより、使用したいエフェクトを選択します。
4. Creative WebCam Center を起動します。
スタート →すべてのプログラムまたはプログラム →Creative →Creative
WebCam →Creative WebCam Center とクリックします
5. WebCam Center のカメラデバイスリストより、Creative WebCam（With Video
Effects）を選択します。
･ WebCam Center 等のビデオアプリケーションを起動する前にアドバンスド
ビデオエフェクトユーティリティを起動して下さい。
･ エフェクトのカテゴリリストは、ビデオエフェクトをダウンロードした場合に
のみ使用出来ます。
エフェクトをダウンロードするには、その他ボタン →ビデオエフェクトの
参照をクリックします。
･ アドバンスドビデオエフェクトユーティリティに関する詳細はソフトウェアの
ヘルプをご覧下さい。

フェイストラッキングの使用
フェイストラッキングは、WebCam の視野内の人の顔の動きを自動的に追尾して撮
影することの出来る機能です。この機能は WebCam Center や一般的なビデオメッ
センジャーソフトウェア、ビデオキャプチャソフトウェアで使用することが出来
ます。
フェイストラッキングを有効にするには：
･ WebCam Center のメニューよりツール →フェイストラッキングユーティリティをク
リックします。
･ Windows タスクバーのシステムトレイの Creative Cam Detector アイコンを右ク
リックして、ポップアップメニューよりフェイストラッキングユーティリティをク
リックします。

使用入門
1
1安裝 Creative WebCam
1. 安裝驅動程式前不要將 Creative WebCam 接至您的電腦。如果您在安裝驅動程
式前就連接了攝影機，並且新增硬體精靈或找到新硬體精靈對話方塊出現，請單
按取消按鈕。
2. 將安裝和應用程式光碟放入 CD-ROM/DVD-ROM 光碟機中。
光碟將自動開始執行。如果沒有，請按下面的步驟作業：
i. 雙按我的電腦圖像。
ii. 右按 CD-ROM/DVD-ROM 光碟機圖像，然後單按自動播放。
3. 選擇您所在的地區並單按下一步按鈕。
4. 選擇語言，然後單按下一步按鈕。
5. 單按安裝驅動程式和應用程式的選擇，然後單按安裝按鈕。
僅針對具備 USB 2.0 功能的電腦使用者 :
