Step 1 –Connect the Camera
First –Plug the
webcam into a
USB port on your
computer
USB ports look like
the picture to the
right, and also
use the symbol
seen to the right

As you do this, you
may see a notice on
your screen that new
hardware is
detected
Wait until your
computer is done
installing the
software
You may see a note
in the lower right of
your screen, or a
dialog box

Step 2 –Install the Software
Insert the CD into
your computer’s
CD or DVD drive
The CD should
start
automatically, if
not, run the
“Setup.exe”
program inside
the CD

When the program
starts, make sure
“English” is
selected, and click
the “Next” button
Read the license
agreement, and
click the “Yes”
button

Make sure that
“Typical” is
selected, and
click the “Next”
button
Allow the
program to install
needed files by
clicking the
“Next” button

The installer will
show you its
progress with the
progress bar
When selecting
setup options,
choose the
“Snapshot”
option and click
“OK”

Now restart your
computer to
finish the
installation by
clicking “Finish”
After restarting,
complete the
product
registration

Step 3 –Creating a YouTube Account
You need to create a YouTube account –
this will allow you to upload your videos,
and share them with your instructor
You have two options when creating an
account:
A) Sign-in with your Google account, if you
have one (easiest)
B) Create a separate YouTube account

Step 3 –Creating a YouTube Account
Start by going to YouTube at:
http://www.youtube.com
Click
Choose to sign –in with your
Google account (A) or
create a new account (B)
If you are creating a new
account (B), complete the
form provided

Run the “Live!
Central 3”
Software
You can
access all the
features of
your new
camera from
the software
Step 4 –Use the Software

A) Select
“Record Video”
in the top tab
B) Press the
video camera
icon under your
picture
When you are
done, press the
stop (square)
icon under
your picture
Step 4 –Record a Video

Your saved videos
will be shown
under your picture
With your mouse,
click the video you
want to save/send
Click the
“YouTube” button
at the bottom
Enter your YouTube
username &
password, then
click “Login”

The “YouTube
Uploader” screen
will now appear,
enter:
Description
Category
Private Broadcast
Click Upload
After uploading,
Click the link to
manage your
videos

In YouTube,
select the video
you want to
share with your
instructor
On the video
page, copy the
URL to send to
your instructor
(highlight, then
“Ctrl-C”)
