Product Information
The hand-held N-Coder is an economical, easy to use program-
mer, capable of configuring Crest Input Processing NC Modules.
It is designed for use when an NC-NXS NexSys®network module
is not installed in the CK family power amplifier.
When plugged into an Input Processor Module, N-Coder auto-
matically identifies the module type and displays only the para-
meters available for that module. The user can then adjust para-
meters, audition the results, then store the new settings in the
module’s non-volatile memory. Settings can also be stored inside
N-Coder for later reference.
A module does not need to be powered, or even be installed in the
amplifier for programming; N-Coder provides the necessary
power. Processing parameters can also be created ahead of time
without any modules attached, stored in the N-Coder, then down-
loaded into the modules later.
Every Crest Input Processing Module can be programmed from a
hand-held N-Coder except for DSP modules. DSP, with its exten-
sive processing options, requires N-Coder/PC or LCP-AC8 (Octo-
pus) software.
The N-Coder can be powered from a common 9VDC battery or
the supplied 12VDC wall adapter. It communicates with Input
Processing Modules using an RJ-14 cord (supplied).
