Functionsand Features
TheCWD6922 (hereafterreferredtoas“module”)isatwo-wayradiofrequency(RF)modulethat
utilizes the2.4GHz frequencybandtocommunicatewithotherdevices.
ThemoduleoperatesaccordingtotheIEEE802.15.4specificationand canbeconfiguredtominimize
thepossibilityofinterference withotherdevices.
Themodule receivesRFsignalsfrom oneormoreCrestrondevicesandcantransmitthesesignalsover
theairforfurtherprocessing(depending ontheapplication).

buildinginwhichit isused.Theconstructionofthebuilding,obstructions,andRFinterferencefromotherdevicesare
factorsdeterminingtheeffectiverangeoftheunit.Topreventunit-to-unit RFinterference,multiplemodulesoperating
atthesamefrequenciesshouldnotbeinstalledwithin3-5feetofeachother.

shouldnotbeinstalledwithinthree tofivefeet ofeachother.
Labeling
IftheFCC identificationnumberis not visiblewhenthemoduleis installedinside anotherdevice, then
theoutsideof thedevice intowhichthemodule isinstalledmustalsodisplaya labelreferringtothe
enclosedmodule.Thisexteriorlabel canusewordingsuchasthefollowing:“ContainsTransmitter
ModuleFCC ID:EROCWD6922” or“ContainsFCCID:EROCWD6922.” Anysimilarwording that
expressesthesamemeaningmaybeused.

TheOEM integratorhastobeaware not toprovideinformationtotheenduserregardinghowtoinstall
orremovethisRFmodule intheusers manualof theendproduct.
TheusersmanualforOEMintegrators mustincludethefollowinginformationinaprominentlocation
“IMPORTANTNOTE: TocomplywithFCC RFexposurecompliance
requirements, theantenna usedforthistransmittermust beinstalledtoprovidea
separationdistance of at least 20cm fromall personsandmustnot beco-located
oroperating inconjunctionwithanyotherantenna ortransmitter.”
