INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS:
The SV-5350 isaspecialdesignedlicenseplatemetalbarback up camerawithasuperwide
viewangle.TheSV-5350isdesigned tobeinstalled intheback ofthelicenseplateonany
vehicle.Itiseasytoinstallwithnodrillingrequired,requiringminimalinstallationtime.This
uniquelydesignedproductcan be used foranypassengercar,SUVandVan.Itcanalsobe
used on manylarge SemiTrucks, SchoolBuses, and Transit Buses

INSTALLATION
MOUNTING:
1.The PlateCam™SV-5350RearVisionSystemusesasuperwide-anglelensforbestall
aroundperformance.TheCamerawill displaythefull widthofmostparkingspacesupto8
feet orevenwider.
2.The SV-5350isdesignedtoworkbeston vehiclesthathavealicenseplatelocatedatthe
centerand abovetherearbumper.If yourvehiclehasaplatelocation thatisoffsettothe left
side,rightside,oryourplateislocatedunderthe bumperthen thePlateCam™maynot
provideoptimumperformance.
3.The design oftheSV-5350allowsthecameratobe angledtowardstherear“Blind Spot”
behind the vehicle.The bar-bracketisdesigned tobe mountedbehindthelicenseplateso
that onlythecameraisvisible.
4.The SV-5350isdesignedtousetheexistingLicensePlatemounting equipment

CAMERA:
1.The Camerahasbuilt-incircuitrytoreversethe imagesoobjectsontherightofvehicle
appearon therightandobjectsontheleftappearon the left when lookingatastandard
monitor.(See ReverseImaging next sectionformoreinformation.)
2.The colorCCD cameraismaintenance-free, waterproof (IP-68)andvibrationresistant.
3.ThiscameraisNOTanightvision Infra-red camera,howeverthebackuplightsonyour
vehicleand/oranyambientlightintheareashouldallowthe systemtostill be usefulatnight
inmostinstallations.
4.The cameraiscompletelyelectronic.ThereareNO manualadjustmentsforfocus,etc.

PICTUREQUALITY:
The 1/4”CCD cameraprovidesthebestqualitypictureavailable.Objectsonthemonitorarecloser
thantheyactuallyappear.
REVERSE (MIRROR)IMAGING:
TheSV-5350Camerahasbuilt-incircuitryto“mirror” theimagesoobjectsontherightofvehicle
appearon the rightand objectsontheleftappearon theleftwhenlooking atastandardmonitor.If
yourexistingmonitororin-dashmonitorhasareversecamerainput wherethemonitoritselfperforms
the mirrorimage,thenyourpicturewill notbe correct. Thisisduetothefactthe image isbeing
mirrored bytheplatecam and mirrored byyourmonitor.Check tosee if youcancontrolthesettings
inyourmonitortoturnoff themirrorimagefeature.Ifnot,theSV-5350hasawirethatcan be
groundedtoreversetheimagebacktonormal. (See WiringDiagram)
WIRING:
1.Carefullychooseahiddenout-of-sightlocation(possiblybehindtheplate)fordrillingthecable
hole.Somevehiclesmayhavean existinghidden rubbergrommetorplugavailabletoavoid
havingtodrill intothebody.Besuretodouble-check foranywiring orobstructionsbehind the
surfacewhereyouaregoingtodrill the cablehole. Usetherubbergrommet tomakeawatertight
sealforthecablewhereitpassesintothevehicle.
2.Chooseaconvenientplacetorunthecameracableuptheleft,rightorcenterofthe vehicle.As
aruleof thumb,trytoavoidmainfactoryharness loomsthatmaycontainhigh levelsorRFnoise
orinterference.
3.You canconnectthecamerapowerattherearofthevehiclebehindthereverselights.You may
alsoconnect powerinsidethevehicleunderthe dashorinthe trunk. TheRed powerwiregoesto
ReverseLight+12V,and the BlackwiretoGround.The Whitewireisforreverseimaging.Leave
thiswireunconnectedforReverseImage orGround thiswireforNormalImage.
4.Run theBlack RCAvideocabletoyourmonitor’svideoinputorreversecamerainput.
