INSTALLATION
Before installingtheunitand accessories,readthismanualinitsentirety.The
ClipCamisdesignedtoworkonmostvehicles.However,there are somevehiclesthat
wesuggestyounotusetheClipCamonduetodifficultyininstallationorimproper
viewingangles.Pleaserefer tothefollowingthree diagramsoftrunk lipprofiles.

Step1:TestingtheCamera(BenchTesting)
1.PreparetwosetsofDC11-13Vbatteriesforrunning abenchtestto
makesurethecamerafunctionsareworking properly(beforeyou
actuallyinstall thecameraintoyourvehicle).
2.Refertothewiring diagram(4.1-3)thecameraand themonitoreach
havetohavetheirownpowersource,DO NOTconnectwiththesame
battery.
3.Whenconnecting the20’cable,makesureall connectorshavebeen
solidlyconnected.
4.Turnon themonitorand you shouldsee aclear,colorpicturedisplay.
5.If you do notsee apictureorthepicturequalityisnotsatisfactory,
pleaseturnoff themonitorand doublecheckall theconnectorstomake
suretheyaresecurelyconnected.
6.Turnon themonitoragain.If you arestill unabletosee thepictureor
thepicturequalityhasnotimproved,contactyoursupplierfor
assistance.
Step2:CheckingthePower Source
1.Thecameracanonlyoperateby connecting apowersource ofDC11-
13V/70mAtype.
2.Checkyourvehicleand makesureyou havethecorrectpowersource for
thecamera.
3.Inmostcases,thecamerapowerlineisconnectedwiththereverselight
powersource.
Step3:ClipCamInstallation
1.Yourpackageincludescameraclipsintwosizes.Usethesize that
matcheswiththethickness ofthevehicle’sreartrunk lip.Thesmall size
clipranges1/4”(6mm)and thelargersize rangesfrom1/4”(6mm )up
to½”(12 mm )thickness.

2.Whenmaking yourselection,choosethetighterfit ofthe2cameraclips
thatareincluded.
3.Insertthecameraclipintothecamerahousing.
4.If forany reason you needtochangethecameraclipsize,pleaseopen
thepre-cutwindowatthebacksideofthecamera.Next,useaflat
screwdrivertoliftup thecameraclipenough toremoveit fromthe
camerahousing.Changetothecorrectcameraclipand reinsertintothe
camerahousing.(Refertothediagramson thefollowing page).

6.Optionalinstallation:Sometimesthespace betweenvehiclelicenseplate
and reartrunk liparea isverynarrow,whichmaycauseproblemswhen
installing theClipCam.Anadjustablebracketisavailabletodealwiththis
problem.Install theadjustablebrackettomoveup thelicenseplateuntil
you haveenough space toinstall theClipCam.
Step4:Wire Connection
1.Connectthepowersource linetothecamera.Alsoconnecta20’cablewith
monitor.(RefertoDiagram4.1)

4.Pleasemakesuretousetherubbergrommetorplug tomakeawatertightsealfor
thecablewhereit passesintothevehiclebody.
5.Pleaserefertothemonitorwiring diagram.Themonitormustbeconnectedusing
itsownpowerlineand shouldnotbeconnectedtosamepowerlinewiththe
camera.
Step5:TestRun YourNewRearViewCameraSystem
1.You havejustcompletedtheinstallation and wiring ofyournewrearviewcamera
system.
2.Pleasemakesurethevehicleisparkedatasafeplace beforeyou do atestrun.
3.Powerup yourvehicleand themonitor.Putthevehicleinreverseand the
monitorshouldimmediatelydisplayaclear,colorpicture.
Important:Therearviewcamerawill beusedwhenthevehicleisinreversegear.If
themonitordoesnotdisplayapictureorthepicturequalitynotsatisfactory,please
doublecheckall cableconnections.Ifyouareunabletocorrecttheproblem,please
contactyoursupplierforhelp.
