IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances,
basic precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of
fire, electric shock, and injury to
persons, including the following:
①Read all instructions before
using this electric fireplace
②This fireplace has its heating
vent in the front. The glass area in
the middle slot will get hot when
the heating function is turned on.
To avoid burns, do not let bare
skin touch the hot surface. The
rest of the fireplace including the
tempered glass section will not
get hot.

partially or fully cover or obstruct
the front of this heater.

not block air intakes or exhaust

the manufacturer may cause fire,

polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). This plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still

directly into a wall
outlet/receptacle. Never use with

Fireplace Installation
Site Selection
Review and consider all of the fol-
lowing conditions for installation:
1.Unit requires a minimum of two
wall studs in order to ensure a
secure installation
2.Three installation method
options:

3.Hardwired or plug-in method
CAUTION: Ensure installation
does not allow fireplace to be in
direct contact with building vapor
barrier or insulation and meets all
local building code.
!NOTE 1: A 15 Amp, 120 Volt
circuit is required. A dedicated
circuit is preferred but not
essential in all cases. A dedicated
circuit will be required if, after
installation, the circuit breaker
trips or fuse blows on a regular
basis when the heater is
operating. Additional appliances
on the same circuit may exceed
the current rating of the circuit
breaker.
WARNING: Ensure the power
cord is not installed so that it is
pinched or against a sharp edge
and ensure that the power cord
is stored or secured to avoid
tripping or snagging to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock o

Hard wire Installation
The fireplace is packaged with a three prong plug installed for plug-in
convenience. Hard wiring the fireplace is also an option for any
installation.
WARNING: Do not attempt to wire your own newoutlets or circuits.
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury persons, always usea
licensed electrician.
WARNING: Ensure that the power cut off at the service paneluntil
installation is complete.

Fireplace Installation
HARD WIRING CONNECTION
If it is necessary to hard wire this appliance, a qualified electrician must remove the cord connection, and
wire the appliance directly to the house hold wiring.
This appliance must be electrically connected and grounded in accordance with local codes, if hard wired.
In the absence of local codes, use the current CSA C22.1 CANADIAN ELECTRICAL CODE in Canada or
the current ANSI/NFPA 70 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE in the United States.
A. Remove the cover plate from the right side B. Remove the wire connectors from the power
bottom of the appliance by removing the three
screws, as shown above.

C. Take the new cover plate, supplied in the hardware bag. Punch out the 7/8" (22.2mm) hole and
install a box connector through, into the junction box. Snap the box connector clamp onto the supply
wires.
D. Using the wire connectors, connect the ground green wires (G), the common white wires
(N) together, then the hot black wires (L) and then the refer to Figure 3.
E. Re-install the cover plate using the three screws, as shown in Figure 1.

Front glass removal / installation
A. With one hand on the front glass to prevent it from falling, remove the
two screws (1 per side) from the side of the appliance (Fig. 4-1). Set the
screws aside.
B. Carefully lift the front glass up and away from the appliance (Fig. 4-2
and 4-3). Place it face down on a soft, non-abrasive surface.
C. Reverse these steps to install the front glass.

There are 3 OPTIONS TO INSTALL THE FIREPLACE:
i. SURFACE WALL MOUNT INSTALLATION
Due to the many different materials used on different walls, it is highly recommended
that you consult your local builder before you install this appliance on the wall.
A. Select a location that is not prone to moisture and is located at least
36" (91.4cm) away from combustible materials such as curtain
drapes,furniture, bedding, paper, etc.
B. Remove the front glass (see “front glass removal / installation” section).
C. Have two people hold the appliance against the wall to determine
the final location.
D. Place appliance face down on a soft, non abrasive surface. Remove
the bracket from the back of the appliance by removing the screws
(Fig.5-1). Set the bracket aside and discard the screws.
E. Mark out location, then mount the bracket onto the wall using screws
(supplied). This bracket MUST have the hooks facing upward and be
level (Fig. 5-2).

note:
It is strongly recommended that the mounting bracket be screwed into the wall studs where possible. If
the wall studs cannot be used, ensure that the supplied plastic anchors are used to affix the bracket to
the wall and the bracket is adequately secured.

F. With the wall mounting bracket installed, have two people lift the
appliance up and insert the hooks on the bracket into the slots
on the back of the appliance (Fig. 5-3).
G. Check the appliance for stability ensuring that the bracket will not
pull free from the wall.
H. Install media (see “media installation” section).
You must complete this step before moving onto the next step.
I. Re-install the front glass.

Due to the many different materials used on different walls, it is highly recommended that you
consult your local builder before you install this appliance on the wall.
note:
It is recommended the walls of the appliance enclosure be finished (i.e. drywall) to avoid exposed insulation or
vapour barrier coming in contact with the appliance. This will ensure clearance to combustibles is maintained.
A. Select a location that is not prone to moisture and is located at least 36”
(94.1cm) away from combustible materials such as curtain drapes, furniture,
bedding, paper, etc.
B. Measure the appliance and create a rough-in frame with electrical (see
below “framing”).
C. Remove the front glass (see “front glass removal / installation” section).
D. Hold the appliance up to ensure it will fit into the framing.

ii. FULLY RECESSED WALL MOUNT INSTALLATION
A. Remove power cord and complete hard wiring (see “hard wiring
installation” section).
B. Insert the appliance into the rough-in frame, and then secure it by
installing 6 screws (supplied) through the side flanges (Fig. 5-4).
C. Install media (see “media installation” section). You must complete this
step before moving onto the next step.
D. Re-install the front glass.

iii. PARTIALLY RECESSED WALL MOUNT INSTALLATION
A. Install 4 metal brackets (2 per side) (supplied) onto the sides of the
appliance (Fig. 5-5).
B. Remove the power cord and complete hard wiring (see “hard wiring
installation” section).
C. Insert the appliance as far into the rough-in frame as possible/
desired, and then secure it by installing 4 screws (supplied) through
the metal brackets (Fig. 5-6).
D. Install media (see “media ember installation” section). You must
complete this step before moving onto the next step.
E. Re-install the front glass.

Log-set / Crystal Media Installation
This fireplace style comes with 2 media options: log-set and crystals
A. Glass front must be removed and the appliance must be mounted in its
final location before the log-set / crystal embers are installed.
B. To use log-set, remove the log-set from the package and set on the
log-set designated space. Figure 6-1.
C. To use crystals: Crystals media may have a fine oil residue that needs to
be cleaned prior to installation. Clean the them with mild dish soap, drain,
rinse thoroughly and dry before placing into the tray.
D. Place the plastic tray to the fireplace designed place. then carefully place
crystal ember into the bottom tray on the front of the appliance as
illustrated. Apply an even layer from side to side. Figure 6-2, Figure 6-3.

Operation
Read and understand this entire owner’s manual, including all safety information,
before plugging in or using this product. Failure to do so could result in electric shock,
fire, serious injury, ordeath.
Power
Plug the power cord into a 110~120 Volt 15 Amp grounded outlet (see IMPORTANT SAFETY
INFORMATION on Pages 3 and 4). Make sure the outlet is in good condition and that the plug is not
loose. NEVER exceed the maximum amperage for the circuit. DO NOT plug other appliances into the
same circuit.
Methods of Operation
This electric fireplace can be operated by the CONTROL PANEL, located on the upper front
right side glass panel, or by the battery-powered REMOTE CONTROL.

NOTE: Flame effect stays on until power

HEATER
HEATER button: Turns heater on andoff.
NOTE: The heater only works when the
flame effect is on. If the flame effect is off,
the heater will not turn on.
NOTE: Heater button can be locked or
unlocked by holding the Heater button for
5 seconds.
1. Press once. Indicator lights up.
Fan blows cool air for 10 seconds.750W
heater turns on and blows warm air.
2. Press again. Indicator lights up.
1500W heater turns on and blows hot air.
3. Press again. Heaters turn off.
The fan blows cool air for 10 seconds to
allow heater to cool down, then turns off.
NOTICE
When the heater is first turned on, a slight odor may be present. This is normal and
should not occur again unless the heater is not used for a long period of time.
NOTICE
To improve operation, aim the remote control at the front of the fireplace. DO NOT
press the buttons too quickly. Give the unit time to respond to each command.

Operation
Temperature Limiting Control
This heater is equipped with a Temperature Limiting Control. Should the heater reach an unsafe
temperature, the heater will automatically turn OFF. To reset:
1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
2. Turn the ON/OFF switch on the CONTROL PANEL to OFF. Wait 5 minutes.
3. Inspect the fireplace to make sure no vents are blocked, or clogged with dust or lint. If they are,
use a vacuum to clean the vent areas.
4. With the POWER switch in the OFF position, plug the power cord back into the outlet.
5. If the problem continues, have your outlet and wiring inspected by a professional.
Remote battery installation
The remote control comes with a pre-installed replaceable CR2025 lithium battery.
!WARNING
1. This remote control requires button batteries that are hazardous to young children.
1. WARNING - KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN!

Swallowing may lead to serious injury in as little as 2 hours or death, due to chemical
burns and potential perforation of the esophagus.
2. If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery, immediately
seek urgent medical assistance.
3. Examine devices and make sure the battery compartment is correctly secured, e.g.
that the screw or other mechanical fastener is tightened. Do not use if compartment is not secure.
4. Dispose of used button batteries immediately and safely. Flat batteries can still be dangerous.
5.
Tell others about the risk associated with button batteries and how to keep their children safe.
note:
The remote control has a removable plastic tab to prolong the battery life while shipping. Remove the tab for
the remote control to function.

To replace the existing battery remove the
battery holder.
The battery holder is equipped with a child
lock system. To remove the battery holder turn
remote onto rear side and press the left side
lever towards the center while pulling the battery
holder out using the slot provided.
Replace existing battery, type CR 2025, with a
new battery and re-install the battery holder into
the remote by sliding it into position, as shown.
The battery holder is connected to the remote
when you hear a “CLICK”.

note:
The remote control must remain within 5 meters or 17 feet of the appliance to be effective. This range may
be reduced when battery power is depleted.
Batteries must be disposed of according to the local laws and regulations. Some batteries may
be recycled, and may be accepted for disposal at your local recycling center. Check with your
municipality for recycling instructions.

Maintenance
Cleaning
ALWAYS turn the heater OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet
before cleaning, performing maintenance, or moving this fireplace. Failure to do so
could result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.
NEVER immerse in water or spray with water. Doing so could result in electric shock,
fire, or personal injury.
Metal:
• Buff using a soft microfiber cloth. Slightly dampen microfiber cloth with water to clean metal
surfaces.
• DO NOT use brass polish or household cleaners as these products will damage the metal trim.
Glass:
• Use a good quality glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth or towel. Dry thoroughly with a paper
towel or lint-free cloth.
• NEVER use abrasive cleansers, liquid sprays, or any cleaner that could scratch the surface.
Vents:
• Use a vacuum or duster to remove dust and dirt from the heater and vent areas.
Plastic:
• Wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and a mild solution of dish soap and warm water.
• NEVER use abrasive cleansers, liquid sprays, or any cleaner that could scratch the surface.
Maintenance
Risk of electric shock!DO NOT OPEN any panels ! No user-serviceable parts
inside!
ALWAYS turn the heater OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet before
cleaning, performing maintenance, or moving this fireplace. Failure to do so could result in
electric shock, fire, or personal injury .
Electrical and Moving Parts:
• The fan motors are lubricated at the factory and will not require lubrication.
• Electrical components are integrated in the fireplace and are not serviceable by the
consumer.
• Energy-saving LED light strip is built into the product and is NOT replaceable by the
consumer.
Storage:
• Store heater in a clean dry place when not in use.
WARNING! NO SERVICING of the internal or electrical parts should be performed by the
consumer. Do not service the unit yourself.
