The CSS Laser Grader models MLGFM2000 - 2400 front mounted for loaders are designed to attach to the loaders’ quick hitch bracket.
Please check with the loader manufacturer the quick hitch bracket required.
The MLGFM2000 is fitted with a mounting frame with pre drilled holes ready to attach the loaders quick hitch frame.
The grading dozer blade is connected to the mounting frame via parallel linkage system, to maintain a vertical position of the blade
when raising or lowering the depth control of the blade is via 2 swivel mounted castor wheels connected to hydraulic cylinders which
are powered by the loaders auxiliary oil service via a special twin bank proportional valve positioned on the grader.
A laser system is required to accurately control the blade height, either manually or automatically via a control box which should be
mounted in easy distance from the loader operator (see laser operation section) The dozer blade is fitted with cutting replaceable
blades front and rear for working in both directions. A height accuracy of + or - 2mm is achievable.
Removable (bolt on) side plates allow more materials to be moved for a quicker operation.

SETTING UP
Your CSS Laser Grader MLGFM2000 will be delivered assembled, lubricated and ready for work. You will
need to have the correct quick hitch mounting plate bolted to the main chassis frame and the correct
hydraulic quick couplers to accept the flow and return hoses on the grader see photo (4).
IMPORTANT
The Danfoss proportional valves return hose must be connected to a FREE FLOW RETURN TO TANK LINE to
avoid any back pressure reaching the valve. The warranty to the valve will be void if this occurs.
LASER EQUIPMENT - Optional Futtura (see photos 5 & 6)
We recommend the Futtura dual grade laser system featuring:
2 pole mounted 360 degree receivers
Auto/Manual control box
Cable kits
Supplied in carrying case

The CSS MLGFM200-2400 is capable of levelling and grading to + or - 2mm, however this can only be achieved after the ground has
already been pre-levelled to within say 20-30mm by using the grader in manual mode.
As the loader and grader will have a limited amount of traction and earth moving capability. Manual grading can be carried out either
via the laser control in manual mode or by bypassing the laser system and using the loader arms to control the blade depth - all as
follows (P.T.O.)

MANUAL GRADING Via the Laser Control Box
The grader is connected to the loaders mounting
bracket via adjustable floating parallel arms
(see photo 13)
The top screw links are adjustable for setting up the
blade vertically - We recommend you set the loader
arms fully down to always maintain the same
datum point every time.
1. Make sure you have oil flow to the valve from the loader
2. IMPORTANT - Check the pressure line and the return to tank line are correctly connected see (photo 4).
3. The valve return line must not be pressurised or back pressure will occur and possibly damage the valve block.
4. Press ON power button (see photo 12)
5. Press AUTO/MANUAL buttons left and right to manual mode The indicator lights do not light up on manual mode.
6. Move Toggle switches both Left Hand and Right Hand to control the UP/DOWN movement of the castor wheels to the required blade
height. Continue to grade the site moving the bulk of the spoil to within 20-30mm of the finished level.

AUTOMATIC LASER CONTROL GRADING
AUTOMATIC LASER CONTROL GRADING
The CSS MLGFM2000-2400 graders will work with the majority of laser systems on the market that are compatible with a proportional
valve system (the alternative is a solenoid valve - known as a bang bang valve) which generally is not as accurate or smooth as the
proportional valve systems. The Futtura Laser EG2 kit is a cost eective quality dual grade system accurate to within+ or - 2mm
A separate instruction manual is included with the kit - PLEASE READ BEFORE USE.
Set the blade on the ground a the average surface depth switch on the control box and set on AUTO (lights on)
After setting up the laser transmitter (dual grade) on the tripod (not included) within 50 metres of the Grader - the height of the
transmitter should be above the cab frame of the loader for a clear view of the two receivers mounted on the poles on the grader - the
height of the poles can be easily changed by slackening o the clamp bolt and lifting the poles until you are at the correct beam height
- when the green band lights up on both receivers - tighten clamp bolt.
You are now ready to proceed in AUTO Grading - the blade will remain at this height - to vary the blade depth - from the loader seat -
you can adjust the auto blade height up or down 54mm (2”) by adjusting the grade oset knobs left and right handed (see photo 12)
It is advisable to adjust the grade oset knobs in small steps so as not to overload the blade -
Continue working in a sequence taking the high areas into the low areas. The grader can be used in a forward and reverse direction -
however we recommend you only trim the surface in reverse so as not too encroach on the wheel movement.

DUAL GRADING
Laser grading in 2 directions ( X and Y axis) can be achieved automatically by setting the laser transmitter (must be a dual grade laser
transmitter) to the desired fall as a percentage on the X and Y axis - we advise you follow the laser transmitters manufacturers
instructions for these setting up procedures.
TRAVELLING SPEED
The speed of operation depends on the site conditions and the amount of material to be moved but as a general guide 2-3 mph
(walking speed) would be the normal working speed.
SIDE PLATES
The side plates are detachable via 2 bolts see (photo 15)
For bulk earthmoving one side plate can be removed to allow spoil to be wind rowed over to one side for a faster operation and by
working in (lands) larger areas can be graded more eiciently.
