Overview
This doc ment o tlines the process of installing Scan2MSCRM.
Microsoft CRM Compatibility
Scan2MSCRM is compatible with Microsoft Dynamics CRM versions 3.0 and 4.0. For

System Re uirements
Scan2MSCRM req ires:
- Microsoft CRM 3.0 or 4.0
- Windows Vista/XP
- Valid ScanShell 800N Scanner
- .NET Framework 2.0

Installation Instructions _________________
To install the prod ct the installation application m st be r n on the Microsoft CRM User
Comp ter by a ser with Administrator privileges for the local comp ter. The installation
of Scan2MSCRM req ires the Scan2MSCRM.msi file which can be downloaded by visiting
http://www.card-reader.com/scan_to_microsoft_crm.htm.
Steps to install Scan2MSCRM
1. Download the Scan2MSCRM.msi file into a folder on yo r personal comp ter.
2. Do ble click the file. Yo will see the following screens.
3. Click ‘Next’ to begin the installation process.

4. If yo agree with the terms of the
license agreement, select the option
labeled ‘I Agree’ and click ‘Next’.
5. Click ‘Next’
to install to the folder
in the defa lt directory OR Click
‘Browse’ and select the destination
folder of yo r choice. Then click
‘Next’

The installation of Scan2MSCRM is now complete.
To access the prod ct and se it yo m st perform activation sing the prod ct key that
was provided to yo . For q estions abo t obtaining prod ct key and performing
Activation please refer to the section of this doc ment titled ‘Activation’.

Connecting the Scanner____________________
The scanner is connected to the comp ter via the USB port. To connect the scanner, do
the following:
• Place the scanner on a flat, firm, solid s rface with easy access.
• Pl g the USB interface cable into the USB port of the comp ter.
• After the Add new hardware wizard dialog box appears, click Next ntil yo are
asked to set the driver for the reader. Yo ’ll find the ScanShell 800N driver at
http://www.card-reader.com/s pport_downloads.htm
• After yo specify the driver, click Next Yo will be presented with a standard
Windows message:
• Click Contin e Anyway. The installation of Scanshell scanner drivers is safe for
yo comp ter and will not affect yo r system.
• Click Next ntil the installation is complete.

For Activation Key of Scan2MSCRM
Activation Key can be obtained from Card Scanning Sol tions pon req est.
Software Activation
Activation is made once. Use the activation key provided to yo to perform the
activation. Insert the key to the text box and press the b tton to activate.

Uninstall Instructions ______________________
Steps to uninstall Scan2MSCRM
1. On the ser comp ter where yo installed the prod ct navigate to ‘Control Panel’ and
open ‘Add or Remove Programs’
2. Select Scan2MSCRM from the list of the c rrently installed programs
3. Click ‘Remove’
4. Click ‘Yes’ in the confirmation message box to begin the ninstall process.
