Important Information
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse appliance, cord or
plug in water or other liquid.
4. This appliance should not be used by children.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
cleaning the appliance.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance
has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Call a qualified electrician to
examine and repair.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the supplier may cause
injuries or damage to the unit.
10. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or
other hot liquids.
13. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended purpose.
14. This appliance should only be used by responsible adults.
15. This appliance is intended for household use only.
16. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the unit in water.
17. Always use this appliance on a level, stable, heat resistant surface.
18. Always use a hot mitten or oven glove to protect hand when opening the
appliance.

First Use
1. Remove all packaging materials and labels.
2. Open the Cover of the unit slowly by releasing the Locking Clip to prevent the
cover from springing back.
3. Clean the Baking Surface with a damp cloth and warm water before use.
4. Plug the unit into the power outlet.
5. Apply a thin coat of cooking oil to the heating surface and carefully rub in with a
paper towel. Extreme care must be taken as the plates will become hot.
6. Pre-heat the appliance for 5 minutes.
7. After this initial procedure, there should be no need to repeat after each use as the
pastry will leave the plates slightly greased. However, we suggest you monitor this
- please do not let the plates become ‘dry’.
NOTE:
1. When using the unit for the first time, a slight smell may be emitted. This is
normal due to the initial heating of the internal components.
2. Before using the unit, always completely unwind the power cord to protect it from
heat build-up.
3. Place the unit on an even, heat-resistant, splash-proof surface.

How to Use
1. Plug the appliance into the mains.
2. Pre-heat for approx 5 minutes until the thermostat light turns off.
3. Place the base pastry of your pie into the appliance, taking extreme care not to
touch the hot surfaces as this will burn upon touch.
4. Spoon the desired filling on top of the pie base.
5. Ensure the fillings are pre-cooked, particularly if using fresh meat or vegetables.
Do not over fill the pies.
6. Place the pastry on top of the pie and close the lid.
7. Cook the pies for approx 5-8 minutes.
8. After use, disconnect the power from the mains supply.
9. To remove the pies after cooking, use a plastic/wooden spatula so as not to
damage the non-stick plates.
Do not use metal utensils as they will damage the non-stick coating.
CAUTION:
1. Avoid touching the baking plates as they become very hot while cooking. Only
touch the unit by its handle and use oven gloves if possible.
2. The pies will be hot, take extreme care when removing them from the appliance.
Cleaning & Maintenance
To improve the performance and life of this product, you are recommended to do the
following:
1. Unplug the unit and let it cool down before cleaning.
2. Remove crumbs and spills from the baking surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
3. Use a damp cloth or sponge with warm soapy water to wipe the dirt from the
case and the baking surfaces gently.
4. Do not immerse the unit, power cord and plug into water. Let the unit dry well
before storage.

Pie Filling Examples
Broccoli and Pork Pie (content makes 6 pies):
1tbsp oil
1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
375g minced pork
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 small head of broccoli, chopped
1 egg
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Heat the oil in a frying pan.
Lightly saute the onions.
Add the minced pork, garlic and broccoli and cook thoroughly.
Simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated.
Combine the eggs, oregano, pepper, cheese and add salt to taste.
Add the mixture to the pork and broccoli and cook for approx 1 minute, stirring
regularly until the eggs are set.
Chili Chicken Pie (content makes 6 pies):
1 tbsp oil
1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
375g minced chicken
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp cumin
1 tbsp tomato purée
Heat the oil in a frying pan.
Saute the onions lightly.
Add the minced chicken and garlic and cook thoroughly.
Add the remainder of the ingredients.
Simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated.

Pie Filling Examples
Meat Pie (content makes 6 pies):
1tbsp oil
1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
375g minced beef
1 glove of garlic, crushed
2 tbsp tomato sauce
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp oregano
Heat the oil in a frying pan.
Lightly saute the onions.
Add the minced beef and garlic and cook thoroughly.
Add the remainder of the ingredients.
Simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated.
Apple Pie:
200g canned pie apples
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp caster sugar
1/2 tsp ground allspice
Combine all above ingredients and add to your pie.
Note: no pre-cooking process required for this filling.

Storage
Follow the below instructions for storage:
1. Unplug the appliance from the electrical power outlet.
2. Tidy up the power cord.
3. The unit should be stored in a dry, cool place.
