Adapter Models
1. Z: Compatible with Zeiss Microscopes and Slip Lamps; Takagi
Microscopes and Slit Lamps; Topcom, CSO, Keeler, Nidek, Hu itz and
many other Slit Lamps.
2. L: Compatible with Leica Microscopes.
3. HS: Compatible with Haag-Streit Slit Lamps.
4. MW: Compatible with Möller-Wedel and Haag-Streit Surgical
Microscopes.

Ho To Install A MicroREC
1. Install the phone in the Uni ersal Holder and screw the knob to
hold it in place as it is shown in the image below.
Installation process depends on whether you purchased a MicroREC with
our beam splitter or your microscope already had a beam splitter.
Install A MicroREC Without Our Beam Splitter

a. Align and center the Uni ersal Holder’s arm with the camera of
the phone.
b. Tighten the knob to hold it in place.

3. Remo e the eyepiece by pulling it from the cap, then unscrew the
protecti e cap.
4. Insert and screw the eyepiece into the Uni ersal Holder.

5. Unscrew the cap from the coupler. Insert the coupler in the Uni ersal
Tube, then twist it to lock it.
6. Insert the MicroREC into your Microscope/Slit Lamp’s Beam Splitter.

7. Insert the Uni ersal Holder with the eyepiece back into the
Uni ersal Tube.

1. Identify the screw that holds the binoculars in place and loose it,
grabbing the binoculars to a oid dropping.
2. Remo e the binoculars.

3. Insert the beam splitter in the microscopic optics carrier and tighten
the holder screw. Place the binoculars and tighten the two holder
screws making sure e erything is properly aligned and secured.
4. Insert the MicroREC Uni ersal Tube into the beam splitter port.

5. Follow steps 1 to 6 from the pre ious instruction to assemble the
Uni ersal Holder.
6. Insert the phone with the eyepiece into the Uni ersal Tube. Your
system is ready to use.

To download MicroREC App you can either:

b. Tap the search icon.
c. Type MicroREC in the search field.
d. Select MicroREC in the search results to go to the app page.
e. Follow the standard installation procedure.
The MicroREC app is custom built to be the perfect complement for MicroREC.
With the app, you can rotate images, adjust focus, disable sound recording and
take control o er ideo quality settings. It gi es you full control o er the camera
settings to adjust lighting conditions in the operating room. You can also collect
and store medical imagery in the app, separate from your personal files.

Ho to create your account
In order to access the app, you will need to CREATE AN ACCOUNT.
1. When you open the App, in the login page, select SIGN UP.
2. Once you ha e correctly alidated your credentials, you will access
the CREATE ACCOUNT page. Fill your information in the pro ided
fields. Just take into account that the introduced email will be the
one used to login in the app.
3. Click to accept the End-User License Agreement and Pri acy Policy
and then click REGISTER.
4. Go to the inbox of the email you pro ided. You should find an email
from us with the subject line PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR EMAIL.
5. Open the email and select CONFIRM EMAIL.
Congratulations! You ha e successfully created your account.

Cleaning And Maintenance
1. If your MicroREC is always connected to your equipment, you should take
it off and clean the lenses e ery couple of months.
2. If you disconnect MicroREC often from the equipment, you should
increase the regularity of maintenance cleaning to once per month.
3. To do regular cleaning, use a special optics cloth. Only use pure water
in small quantities to clean the optics. Ne er touch the optics with your
fingers.
4. The MicroREC optical system does not get in direct contact with a patient,
and therefore, it does not require sterilization.
5. If the product comes into contact with abundant liquid, wipe it
immediately with a soft cloth. If the liquid enters an unreachable surface,
place the product so that the liquid may exit.
6. To clean the product, use a soft, damp cloth. Do not use any corrosive
liquids or materials and oils for cleaning.
7. Do not touch or directly manipulate the lenses, mirrors, or other optical
components with your hands.
8. If you detect spots, dust, or residue, use a soft cloth for lenses to clean.

A beam splitter is an attachment that captures a beam of light from a
microscope and directs it to a smartphone, allowing for image recording.
You can attach any smartphone to your MicroREC with a Uni ersal
Smartphone Holder. To use the app, you ha e to follow these requirements:
iOS 11.0 or later for iPhones, Android 7.0 and up for other smartphones.
MicroREC application is compatible with both iOS and Android and
a ailable for downloading at corresponding app stores.
The beam splitter is usually located between the binoculars and the optics
of the microscope. It has either one or two ports to connect cameras or
secondary obser ers. If you are still not sure whether your microscope has
one, you can contact us and share a couple of pictures of your microscope.
We will be happy to let you know what type of a system you need.
If your system is not on the list, send us a message to check compatibility
for your specific model.

Is the MicroREC app free?
What if I change my email address?
Are the pictures and videos saved in my telephone gallery or in the
app?
What if I change my phone?
What if I forget my pass ord?
Yes, customers who purchased MicroREC can use the app for free.
You can transfer your account to a new email address. To do so, go to
the EDIT PROFILE section in your app, write your new email in the EMAIL
ADDRESS section and sa e changes. After sa ing, you will recei e a
confirmation email to ensure your new email is alid. Confirm the new
email — and you are good to go.
All isual materials you record with MicroREC, are collected and stored in
the app, separate from your personal files.
If you change your phone, you need to download the app and log in with
your email and password. You do not ha e to register again.
You can always reset your password by tapping FORGOT PASSWORD on
the login page.
Can a MicroREC app be used by more than one person?
You must register and create your account. This account is personal and
non-transferable.
I am sharing a MicroREC ith other doctors. Can e all get access to
the MicroREC app?
If you are sharing a MicroREC, e ery doctor can download a MicroREC
app and create their own account.
