2.1) GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
The joint cutter can be used only by people who are
- majors
- physically and mentally fit
-trained and in possession of qualifications recognized by the employer
Users must know the instructions included in this manual and the safety
regulations relating to the workplace. Users are therefore required to read this
manual and use the following personal protection devices:
• The joint cutter must be used exclusively to cut asphalt and concrete in compliance
with the safety regulations
• Before using the machine always make sure that the controls and safety devices
are perfectly efficient
• In case of machine failure stop the engine immediately and inform the site
managers
• It is prohibited to use the machine on uneven surfaces and/or bumpy surfaces
• It is prohibited to use the machine in closed environments or in insufficiently
ventilated environments

• Cuts Diamant authorised dealer where you have purchased the machine.
Cuts Diamant warrantee for the machine shall be valid for 12 months from the
date of delivery.
The company shall cover repair and/or replacement of defective parts provided
that the machine was used in accordance with the operation and maintenance
instructions included in this manual.
The warrantee shall not cover normal wear of parts due to the use of the machine.
The warrantee shall be invalidated if:
- extraordinary maintenance has been carried out by unauthorized personnel
- non-original spare parts have been used
- the machine has not been used in accordance with the instructions given in this
manual
- ordinary maintenance has been performed without following the instructions
given in this document. Cuts Diamant shall not be liable for damage to objects
or people due to improper use of the machine or by procedures and alterations
carried out by unauthorized personnel.

After mounting the blade and starting the engine, start cutting as follows:
1. Open the water cock on the right side of the tank and make sure that the blade
cooling system is working properly
2. Use the hand-wheel to lower the blade gradually and uniformly until you reach
the required cutting thickness
3. Align the guide rod with the required cutting direction
4. Push the machine gradually and uniformly by using the handles
5. Once finished cutting, turn the hand-wheel to eject the blade
6. Switch the engine off (see 4.2 – 5)
To fix the blade follow the instructions:
1. Lift up the blade guard
2. Unscrew the nut on blade shaft (anticlockwise thread)
3. Remove outer flange
4. Make sure that flanges and blade shaft are perfectly clean
5. Fit the blade so that the arrow on the blade label and the arrow on the guard are
in the same direction
6. Fit back the outer flange and tighten the nut on blade shaft
7. Make sure that the blade is correctly aligned
8. Close the blade guard
9. Make sure that the blade is completely off the ground
10. Start the engine

1. Open the fuel cock
2. Set the accelerator lever as shown in the picture
2a.Only for petrol engines: set the selector to ON
2b.Only for diesel engines: hold the lever of the recoil starter and tighten the cord
until the piston is in compression. Set the decompression lever to a low position
as shown in the picture
3. Hold the handle tightly to start the engine.
Make sure that your position will allow a free movement of your arm. Caution!
Pull the cord with force to prevent kickback
4. Let the engine warm up for a few minutes
5. To switch the engine off set the ON/OFF selector to OFF (Honda and Robin) or
set the accelerator to the minimum and close the fuel cock (Yanmar)
ATTENTION: when using the machine for the first time, refer to the engine
manual.
To start the engine with the recoil starter, follow the instructions:
WARNINGS
• It is recommended to use Cuts Diamant diamond blades
• Add fuel only when the machine is off. Prevent fuel from coming into contact with
hot parts of the machine and of the engine
• Check the tank and the cap
ATTENTION! Replace tank and cap immediately if defective to avoid explosion
• Turn off the fuel cock when the machine is not in use
•Pay attention when handling chemical substances (lubricating oil and fuel)
• Do not use the machine in environments where gas fumes may be present
• Do not use the machine in closed environments (insufficient ventilation)
• Do not smoke or use naked flames near the machine
• Always operate in safe and stable conditions to avoid damage to people or objects
• When not in use, switch the engine off and leave the machine in a safe and
sheltered place. Avoid temperatures below -10°C and above +60°C

To stop the engine in case of failure of the ON/OFF selector (Honda and Robin), set
the accelerator to the minimum and close the fuel cock.

• Check the efficiency of the blade cooling system (tank, connectors, nozzles)
• Clean filters regularly
• Every 100 hours of operation inject grease into the greasing system of the wheel
support, blade shaft supports and hand-wheel support
• Every 100 hours of operation overhaul all components of the machine
• Drain fuel out completely at least once a year
• In case of inactivity for more than 48 hours, empty out the fuel tank completely
and eliminate condensation water
• In case of prolonged inactivity, additives must be added to the petrol to avoid
damage to the engine

• Maintenance and repair must be performed under the supervision of the person
appointed by the employer
• When maintenance is done to the machine, the engine must be off
•Everyday check tension of V-belts. Replace belts if worn out (replace the whole set)
• Check the efficiency of the blade cooling system (tank, connectors, nozzles)

The total weight of the machine varies according to the
model. Maximum weight 143 kg
ATTENTION! Lifting, transport, installation and maintenance must be performed
by qualified technicians. Before handling the machine, make sure
that the forklift is suitable for supporting the load.
To avoid damage caused by incidental fall of the machine,
always make sure that people keep at a safe distance from
the forklift.
Daily maintenance:
• check the filter and replace it if necessary
• for the models with oil bath filter check the oil level (1)
•check tightness of tank cap and replace it if necessary (2)
• check fuel filter every 100 hours of operation and replace
it if necessary (6)
• check the oil level and top up if needed (3)
• first oil change after 20 hours of operation (3-4)
• check tightness monthly (5)

6.2) STORAGE
In case of prolonged inactivity, store the joint cutter in a dry and sheltered place.
Temperatures below -10°C and above +60°C could cause serious damage to the
machine.
It is prohibited to place any material or
tools on the machine
6.3) DEMOLITION AND DISPOSAL
Dispose of consumption materials and materials deriving from demolition following
the regulations in force in the country where you are working.

•Use the lifting hook to load and download the machine and use suitable means
of transport
• Do not use the joint cutter’s handles to lift the machine
• Make sure that the ramps used to load/unload the machine are properly fixed,
stable and suitable for bearing the weight of the machine
•When carrying the machine, fix it so as to prevent it from tilting over or sliding
about
• For very long transits, empty out the fuel tank completely
It is strongly recommended to use a forklift equipped with forks of at least 2 metres
length to lift and handle the machine. Make sure that the forks extend beyond the
opposite side.
