1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
This manual contains important instructions for Models
that should be followed during installation and maintenance of the UPS and batteries.
The product installation must be performed by engineers approved by the manufacturer (or
its agent) and must comply with local and national. Not doing so could result in personnel
safety risk, equipment malfunction, and invalidation of warranty.
WARNING:
Follow the installation manual to be performed; failure to follow these instructions may result
in death or severe injury.
WARNING:
Must disconnect all AC sources connected to the MBS product and that all Breaker in the OFF
position before installing and servicing.
WARNING:
Follow the space requirements of the product and do not cover the ventilation openings
when the product is in operation.
CAUTION:
For MBS100D5B:
To reduce the risk of fire, connect only to a circuit provided with 100A maximum branch
circuit overcurrent protection in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70
and the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, C22.1.
For MBS175D5B:
To reduce the risk of fire, connect only to a circuit provided with 175A maximum branch
circuit overcurrent protection in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70
and the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, C22.1.
NOTICE: 3-PHASE 4-WIRE INPUT POWER IS REQUIRED
The Maintenance Bypass Switch product can be connected to TN, TT AC distribution system
(IEC60364-3) of 3-phase 4-wire.
The instruction manual for a unit investigated for use in a CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT shall
indicate that the unit is intended for installation in a temperature-regulated, indoor area that
is relatively free of conductive contaminants.
