indoor cycleonthemarket. TheCycleOpsIndoor Cyclemimicsthecustom fit and feel of your ownbikeout ontheroad, inanindoor setting. The
CycleOpsPro 300 PT uses theproven PowerTap technology to giveyou real-timefeedback onyour training intensity. Theconsoleand included soft-
ware(Comp 200E and Pro 300PT only) allow you to download your rides to a PCand track your progress over time. If you haveany issues, comments

ConsoleFeatures
Both theComp 200E and Pro 300 PT Indoor Cycles areequipped with a handlebar mounted consoleunit. Theconsolereceives a digitally-coded signal
from thetransmitter located inthehub(Pro300PT) or behind thechainring(Comp200E). Speed and cadenceontheComp 200E, aswell aswattsand
torqueonthePro 300PT, areinterfaced from therear hub signal. Inadditiontheconsoledisplayscurrent heart ratevia a non-coded telemetry signal
(chest strap).

Pedal travel ranges aredesigned and intended for adults.

HeartRate Monitor Strap
Position the heartrate monitor strap on your torso as pictured in figure 1. The strap should restjustbeneath the pectoral
muscles of the chest. Make sure the electrodes on the strap are slightly moistwhere itcontacts the skin for bestresults.
The heartrate strap mustbe worn to enable the heartrate functionality of the Comp 200E and Pro 300PT models.
Bracket
When firstsetting up the CycleOps Indoor Cycle you mustattach the console bracketto the bike. To do this follow the instructions below:

Console to bracket
To connect the console to the bracket, slide the console down onto the bracket. Be sure to slide the console completely down onto the bracketto ensure
a solid connection between the console and the bracket. Make sure the contact points between the console and bracketremain clean and free from
moisture or debris.
Batteries
The console ships with batteries. In the eventthe batteries need to be replaced over time,follow these simple
steps:
1. Remove the back cover with a small philips head screwdriver
2. Remove batteries
3. Replace with fresh AA batteries,paying attention to properly line up the poles
4. Replace battery door and secure with small philips head screwdriver
IMPORTANT! How To Zero Torque
The torque mustbe zeroed to ensure thatthe PowerTap displays the mostaccurate power information. If the instantaneous power is positive,or nega-
tive,the torque needs to be zeroed. These operations mustbe done with NO tension on the chain or while stationary with NO force being placed on the
pedals. Also,the transmission icon mustbe illuminated.
To zero torque firstensure the transmission icon is showing then press [DOWN ARROW] to move the cursor to [WATTS]. Press [SELECT] to change to
[INCH-LBS]. Then hold down [SELCT] again until "0" is shown. Press [SELECT] to return to [WATTS]. The torque value will now read zero.

Console Navigation
UPand DOWN ARROWS
[UPARROW] and [DOWN ARROW] are used
to scroll through the differentfields on the
console. [UPARROW] and [DOWN ARROW]
can also be used to move the navigation
cursor on the [MAIN MENU]. Additionally,
these arrows are used to increase or
decrease values when establishing user pro-
file features.
MODE and SELECT Buttons
Use [MODE] to toggle between different
menu options and to enter the interval
mode (See [INTERVAL MODE] for further
details). Use [SELECT] to enter a new menu
screen. Italso functions as an "enter" func-
tion to escape a screen after making your
selection.

Find
Hub consoles are “paired” or “learned” atthe factory.
Learning involves viewing and storing each device
ID into the console.In addition,there is a feature
called “Find” thatallows the user to searh for stored
devices in the eventa sensor has lostcontact with
the console for any reason. To initiate the Find,hold
[Mode] and [Select]. Release when “Find” appears
on the bottom of the screen after about2 seconds.
When the search is successful,the transmission icon
appears in the upper rightcorner.

console. If you are using itfor the firsttime,
all data will be stored under [USERA] with
the defaultsettings for a 150 lb male born on
Jan 1,2004. You may need to resetthe con-
sole if there is data from a previous ride
stored on the console (see "Clear Memory"
for details). NOTE:Parameters such as weight
and age do notaffect power outputreadings
on the console. These settings apply only
when analyzing the data on your PC.

These settings determine if zero readings will be
included in average readings. For example,
when coasting zero powering readings are
recorded. This setting determines if these zero
coasting readings are included in the average

1) From [MAIN MENU] press [DOWN ARROW] to scroll
to through to [SETUP] and press [SELECT].
2) Press [SELECT] to enter [MODES].

3) Press [SELECT] to enter [SLEEPTIME].
4) Press [UPARROW] or [DOWN ARROW] to toggle between 1-9 (displayed in
minutes). This determines duration of time before the console goes to sleep
withoutinputfrom the bike or a heartrate signal is detected. Press [SELECT] to
acceptchanges and reenter scrolling menu.
5) Press [DOWN ARROW] to scroll to [COMPMODE] and press [SELECT].
6) Press [DOWN ARROW] to toggle between [200E] or [PT300]. Select setting
depending CycleOps Indoor Cycle model you own. Press [SELECT] to accept
changes and reenter scrolling menu.
7) Press [DOWN ARROW] to scroll to [RECORD CNTR] and press [SELECT].
8) Press [DOWN ARROW] to toggle between [SPEED] and [HEART]. Press
[SELECT] to acceptchanges and reenter scrolling menu. This function sets
when the ride time clock auto starts and stops. In [SPEED] mode,the run time
clock will stop when speed reaches zero. In [HEART] mode,the run time clock
time will continue to record as long as heartrate signal is detected.
9) Press [DOWN ARROW] twice to scroll to [BACKLIGHT] and press [SELECT].
10) Press [DOWN ARROW] to select either [UI],[UI DATA] or [OFF]. This function
determines when the backlightwill be illuminated. [UI] = User Interface (when
buttons are pushed),[UI DATA] = User Interface and Data input, [OFF] =
Backlightis never illuminated. Press [SELECT] to acceptchanges and reenter
scrolling menu. NOTE: Use of backlightwill reduce battery life.
11) To resetuser settings select press [DOWN ARROW] and press [SELECT].
12) Press [DOWN ARROW] to scroll to [RETURN] and press [SELECT] to return to
[MAIN MENU].

This setup allows the console to learn a new device or
sensor suchas the hub,heartrate strap or cadence
sensor. NOTE: This process only needs to be used if a
new sensor or hub is being used in conjunction with
your console or vice versa. There are 2 learn
sequences,1 and 2 use learn 1.

1. To manually change the hub I.D. Push [Select] to
toggle through the Hub I.D. Press [Mode] to save.

2. If you need to “learn” the hub ID,[Select] to
advance through the Hub I.D. settings to learn 1.
NOTE: Make sure the hub is “awake” by spinning

“learn” begins flashing. When the console has
learned the device I.D. itwil display the I.D. Press
[Up or down arrow] to advance to the next device
I.D. If itdid notlearn the device itwill take you
back to the mostrecentI.D.
4. Follow the above steps for any additional sen-
sors you may be using,such as the heartrate strap
or cadence sensors.
