Pleaseobservethefollowingpoints:
Beforeuse,pleasereadinstructionsforuseaswellaslabelonthesurfaceofthebattery.
Pleasechargethebatteryinacoolandwell‐ventilatedroomashightemperaturesmayleadtooverheating.
Donotattemptopenthebatteryasitmayleadtoshortcircuitorelectrolyteleakage.
Ifelectrolytesgetincontactwithyoureyes,thereisdangerofblindness.
Insuchcase,immediatelywashyoureyeswithcleanwaterandseekmedicalattentionimmediately(Donot
rubyoureyes)
Keepthebatteryawayfrommechanicalvibrationandshaking.Donotshortconnectthebatteryasthismay
damagethebatteryandcomponentsconnectedtoit.
Keepthemetalcontactpointsandbatteryclean.
Donotusedamagedordepletedbatteries.
Thebatteryshouldbereplacedwhenitcannotmeettherequirementforperformance.Batterycanbecharged
hundredsoftimesbeforeitshouldbereplaced.
Thoughitcanbechargedhundredsoftimes,itsquantityofelectricchargemaydecreasegradually.When
servicetime(talktimeandstandbytime)isfoundtohavedecreased,thebatteryneedstobereplaced.
Preventthebatteryfromexposuretotheskinorplaceswithexcessivesmokeordust.Donotuseitindamp
environments,suchasabathroom.Thebatteryisnotwaterproof;sokeepitawayfromrainandmoisture.
Donotputthebatteryinplacesthataretoohotortoocold.Temperatureabove55degreesCelsiusorbelow‐
10degreesCelsiusmayaffectperformanceofthebattery.
Donotputthebatteryinanopenfireasthiscouldleadtoanexplosion.
Donotputthebatteryinwatertoavoidshortcircuitinside,resultinginbatteryoverheat,smoking,distortion,
damageorevenexplosion.
Treatbatteryaccordingtolocalregulations(forexample,recycling).Donottreatbatteryasdomesticgarbage.
Onlytheoriginalchargersuppliedwiththephoneshouldbeusedforchargingthebattery.

2.InstructionsbeforeUse
Beforeusingthephone,makesuretheUSBjack,poweradapterorbatteryiscorrectlyconnected
andtheSIMcardhasbeeninsertedcorrectly.Followtheinstructionsbelow:

Warning:BeforepullingouttheSIMcard,thephoneshouldbepoweredoff.InsertingorpullingoutSIMcardsis
notpermittedwhentheexternalpowerisconnectedasitcandamagetheSIMcard.
2.1PowerON
Thedevicecanworkonsinglebatterymode,singlechargermodeorbothbatteryandchargermode.
Pressandhold[RedPowerKey]buttonuntilbootscreenappears
IfthereisapromptforTypePINcode,pleaseenteryourSIMPINcodeandpress[Unlock]key.
ShouldyoutypeintheSIMPINcodeincorrectly3times,theSIMwillbelockedandcanonlybeunlockedwith
thePUKcode.
Note:PleasecontactyourserviceproviderforthedefaultSIMPINcodeifunavailable.
Afterpoweron,iftheSIMcardisvalidorinsertedcorrectly,yourphonewillautomaticallysearchavailable
networktoconnect.
IftheSIMcardisinvalidorinactiveorincorrectlyinserted,itwillpromptyoutoInsertSIMcardorEmergency
Callsonly.

Topoweroff,pressandholdthe[RedPowerkey]untilpoweroffscreenappears.
Note:Inthisstate,allalarmswillstillsoundifset.Poweroffthephoneanddisconnecttheexternalpower
wheneverinsertingthebatteryorSIMcard.
2.3PhoneSecurity
YoucansetanSIMpasswordtoavoidunauthorizeduseofyourphoneSIM.
Thiscanbedoneundersection10.7Settings>Security>SIMLock
SetupSIMcardlock:SetSIMPINlocktoonoroff,ormodifySIMPIN.NotethattheSIMPIN
numberisissuedbyyournetworkproviderandisshownonyourCompleteSIMcard.IfaSIMPIN
isset,itwillbeindicatedwithatick.
2.4PINcode
PINcodeisusedtopreventillegaluseofuser’sSIMcard.
IfyourSIMhasPINcodeprotectionenabled,youwillbepromptedtoenteryourPINcodeonstart‐up.
IfthewrongPINcodeisenteredthreetimesconsecutivelytheSIMcardwillbeautomaticallysoftlocked.
YouwillberequiredtoenterthePUKcodetounlockit.
Note:ThePINcodeisrelatedtoSIMcard,notthetelephoneandisprovidedbyyourNetwork
ServiceProvider.PleasecontactyourserviceproviderifyoudonotknowyourSIMPINcode.
2.5PUKcode
PUKcode,referringtoPersonalUnlockCode,isusedtounlockaSIMcardthatislockedbecauseofwrong
inputofPINcode.
IfthePUKcodeentryattemptsexceedtentimes,theSIMcardwillbehardlockedandaSIMreplacementwill
berequired.
PUKcodesorReplacementSIMcardsareprovidedbyyourNetworkServiceProvider.

Installation
Step1:Slidethecliptotherightcarefully.Youwillhearasmallclickandtheclipwillnowbeloose.
Step2:FlipopentheclipbysoftlyliftingittotherightandplacethemicroSDCarddownflatintothegroove
withthepinsfacingdowntotheright.
Step3:Closetheclipbyflippingthecoverleftandsoftlypressdownandslidethecliptothelefttolock.You
willhearasmallclickandtheclipisnowlocked.

TheDWR‐720PWiscompatiblewithmostmicroSDCardswiththefollowingspecifications:

Speed:microSDcardswithslowspeedmayexperienceslowtransfertimewhenloadingfiles,ormaynotwork
atall.SlowtransfertimescanalsooccurwithmicroSDcardsthathaveagreatnumberoffilesonthem.
IftheSD‐Cardisinsertedandtheiconshows,itmeansthereisformatissue,thiscanbe
fixedbyreferringtosection

3.1Directdial
Makingaphonecall:
InHomeScreen,pressthenumericalkeytoenterthephonenumberthenpickupthehandsettodialorpress
the[GreenDialkey]toinitiatethecallonhandsfreeloudspeaker.
Orpickupthehandsettoinitiatediallingtone,enterthephonenumberandpress[GreenDialkey]toinitiate
thecall.

Press[Rightsoftkey]todeletethelastdigitorlongpressittoclearallifyouenteredthenumberincorrectly.
Pickupthehandsetorpress[HandsFree]forthediallingtone.
Ifthephonenumberbeingdialledoutisrecognizedbythephonebook,thenameofcontactpersonwillbe
displayedonthediallingscreenaswellasthecallingscreen.
Toendthecall,pressthe[EndCall/RedPowerkey]orpressthe[HandsFreekey]orsimplyhangup.
Quickdialfromcontactslist:
InHomeScreen,pressthe[Rightsoftkey]toenter[Contacts].
Scrolldowntoselectacontactandpressthe[GreenDialkey]toinitiatethecallonhandsfreeloudspeaker.
Toswitchovertohandsetcalling,pickupthehandset.

InHomeScreen,pressthe[GreenDialkey]toenter[Outcallnumber]list.
Scrolldowntothepreviousnumberyouhavedialledorreceivedacallfrom.
Pressthe[GreenDialkey]againtoinitiatethecall.
3.3Receiveacall
Whenthereisanincomingcall,thescreenwilldisplaythephonenumbertogetherwithringtone(unlessthe
phoneissettosilent).
Pressthe[GreenDialkey]orpickupthehandsetorPress[HandsFree]toanswercalls.
Ifphonenumberofthecallerisnothidden,thenumberwillbedisplayedontheincomingcallscreen.
Ifthecontactinformationofthecallerisstoredincontacts,thenthecaller’snamewillbedisplayed.
Note: IfthecallerIDishiddenorthenetworkbanscallindication,theincomingcallisdisplayedas✲✲✲✲✲or
PrivateorUnknown.
3.4Operationsduringacall
Duringacall,youhavetheoptionto:
Backstage:Presstherightsoftkeytoreturnthescreentohomepage.YoucannowaccesstheMenuand
Contacts.
Hold:Presstheleftsoftkey[OK]fortheholdoption.Placethecurrentcallonhold.

Mute:Presstheleftsoftkey[OK]forthemuteoption.Thiswillcutoffthemicrophoneonthephone.
Addacall:Presstheleftsoftkey[OK]fortheAddacalloption.Youcanphoneanothercallerwhileyouarebusyon
acall.Thiswillplacethefirstcallonhold.Toswapbetweenthe2calls,press[OK]then[Swap].
3.5Terminatecall
Whenthereisanincomingcall,pressthe[RedPowerkey]torejectthecall.
Duringthecall,pressthe[RedPowerkey]toterminatecurrentcall.Orhangupthehandset.
Ifhandsfreecalling,pressthe[HandsFree]keytoendthecurrentcall.
Anumberthathasjustbeendialledcanbecancelledbypressing[RedPowerkey].
3.6MakeEmergencycall
Aslongasyouarewithincoverageofnetwork,youcanmakeanemergencycallevenifyouhavenot
registeredtothelocalnetworkordonothaveSIMcardorhavenotyetunlockedtheSIM.
Enterthelocalemergencynumberandthenpress[GreenDialkey]tomakeanemergencycall.
3.7MakeInternationallong‐distancecall
Pressandholdthe[0]keyuntilthe“+”signappearbeforeinternationalphonenumbercanbedialled.“+”sign
tellsthenetworkthatyouaremakinganinternationalcall.
Enterthecountrycode,areacode(withoutthe0)andphonenumber
Press[GreenDialkey]toinitiatethecall.
