Before carrying out any operations with the unit,
carefully read this instruction manual, and keep it
with cure for future reference.
It contains important information about the
installation, usage and maintenance of the unit.
SAFETY
General instruction
• The products referred to in this manual con-
form to the European Community Directives
and are therefore marked with .
• The unit is supplied with hazardous network
voltage (230V~). Leave servicing to skilled
personnel only. Never make any modica-
tions on the unit not described in this in-
struction manual, otherwise you will risk an
electric shock.
• Connection must be made to a power supply
system tted with ecient earthing (Class I
appliance according to standard EN 60598-
1). It is, moreover, recommended to protect
the supply lines of the units from indirect
contact and/or shorting to earth by using ap-
propriately sized residual current devices.
• The connection to the main network of elec-
tric distribution must be carried out by a
qualied electrical installer. Check that the
main frequency and voltage correspond to
those for which the unit is designed as given
on the electrical data label.
• This unit is not for home use, only profes-
sional applications.
• Make certain that no inammable liquids,
water or metal objects enter the xture.
• Do not dismantle or modify the xture.
• All work must always be carried out by quali-
ed technical personnel. Contact the nearest
sales point for an inspection or contact the
manufacturer directly.
• If the unit is to be put out of operation deni-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.

• I prodotti a cui questo manuale si riferisce sono
conformi alle Direttive della Comunità Euro-
pea e pertanto recano la sigla .
• Il dispositivo funziona con pericolosa tensione
di rete 230V~. Non intervenire mai al suo in-
terno al di fuori delle operazioni descritte nel
presente manuale; esiste il pericolo di una sca-
rica elettrica.
• È obbligatorio eettuare il collegamento ad
un impianto di alimentazione dotato di un’ef-
ciente messa a terra (apparecchio di Classe I
secondo norma EN 60598-1). Si raccomanda,
inoltre, di proteggere le linee di alimentazione
delle unità dai contatti indiretti e/o cortocircui-
ti verso massa tramite l’uso di interruttori die-
renziali opportunamente dimensionati.
• Le operazioni di collegamento alla rete di
distribuzione dell’energia elettrica devono
essere eettuate da un installatore elettrico
qualicato. Vericare che frequenza e tensione
della rete corrispondono alla frequenza ed alla
tensione per cui l’unità è predisposta, indicate
sulla targhetta dei dati elettrici.
• L’unità non per uso domestico, solo per uso
professionale.
• Evitare che nell’unità penetrino liquidi inam-
mabili, acqua o oggetti metallici.
• Non smontare e non apportare modiche
all’unità.
• Tutti gli interventi devono essere sempre e
solo eettuati da personale tecnico qualica-
to. Rivolgersi al più vicino centro di assistenza
tecnica autorizzato.
• Se si desidera eliminare il dispositivo deniti-
vamente, consegnarlo per lo smaltimento ad
un’istituzione locale per il riciclaggio.

Attenzioni e precauzioni per l’installazione
• Questo prodotto da solo oppure in combina-
zione con amplicatore può essere capace di
produrre livelli sonori che possono causare
perdite d’udito permanenti. Si raccomanda di
evitare l’esposizione ad alti livelli sonori o livelli
non confortevoli per periodi di tempo lunghi.
• Vi sono numerosi fattori meccanici ed elettrici
da considerare quando si installa un sistema
audio professionale (oltre a quelli prettamente
acustici, come la pressione sonora, gli angoli di
copertura, la risposta in frequenza, ecc.).
• Se il dispositivo dovesse trovarsi ad operare
in condizioni dierenti da quelle descritte nel
presente manuale, potrebbero vericarsi dei
danni; in tal caso la garanzia verrebbe a deca-
dere. Inoltre, ogni altra operazione potrebbe
provocare cortocircuiti, incendi, scosse elettri-
che, rotture ect.
• Per le versioni con amplicatore incorporato:
- Collegare il prodotto ad una linea di alimen-
tazione adeguata facendo uso del cavo rete
in dotazione, controllando sempre che sia
in buono stato.
- Fare attenzione che il punto di alimentazio-
ne sia dotato di una eciente presa di terra.
- Disconnettere il cavo rete se non viene usa-
to per un lungo periodo di tempo.
• Evitare di installare l’unità in prossimità di fonti
di calore.
• Posizionare l’unità al riparo dagli agenti atmo-
sferici e a distanza di sicurezza dall’acqua.
• Non appoggiare l’unità su parti inammabili.
• L’installazione del prodotto è prevista a pavi-
mento o mediante appropriati ganci per so-
spensione o su specici supporti adeguati al
peso da sopportare. Si raccomanda di rispetta-
re sempre le vigenti norme di sicurezza.
• Nel caso di installazione sospesa, questa deve
avvenire sotto la responsabilità dell’installato-
re, nel rispetto di tutte le precauzioni e le nor-
me di sicurezza applicabili nel caso specico.
Non è possibile fornire regole e consigli det-
tagliati e validi per i tutti i casi, ma ricordiamo
che, per la sicurezza dell’installazione, occorre
seguire alcune precauzioni importanti:
- Per la sospensione, utilizzare accessori (con-
formi alle norme di sicurezza applicabili nel
paese di impiego) il cui produttore ne di-
chiari e ne garantisca la portata.
- Non usare un solo accessorio per la sospen-
sione (ad esempio, una sola catena), ma al-
meno due, di portata adeguata. In caso di

• This product in combination with ampli-
er, may be capable of producing dangerous
sound levels that could cause permanent
hearing loss. Do not operate for a long period
of time at high volume level or at a level that is
uncomfortable.
• There are numerous mechanical and electrical
factors to be considered when installing a profes-
sional audio system (in addition to those which
are strictly acoustic, such as sound pressure, an-
gles of coverage, frequency response, etc.).
• If this device will be operated in any way dier-
ent to the one described in this manual, it may
suer damages and the guarantee becomes
void. Furthermore, any other operation may
lead to dangers like short circuit, burns, elec-
tric shock, ect.
• The version with the built-in amplier needs
extra precautions:
- Connect the apparatus to a power supply
using only power cord included making al-
ways sure it is in good conditions.
- Make sure that power supply has a proper
ground connection.
- Power supply cord should be unplugged
from the outlet when left unused for a long
period of time.
• Do not install the xture near sources of heat.
• Protect the xture from atmospheric agents
and keep it away from water.
• Do not place the unit on inammable parts or
material.
• The product is designed for suspended or oor
installation or installation on special stands
able to support its weight. It is recommended
to follow all applicable safety regulations.
• All hanging installation jobs are carried out
under the sole responsibility of the person
doing the actual work and must be done in full
compliance with all the applicable safety rules
and regulations. We do not attempt to provide
detailed guidelines for all the potential ways
in which these extremely exible systems can
be installed, but do want to remind you that
to ensure a safe installation, it is necessary to
adhere to the following:
- When hanging the speakers, use only means
of suspension (in accordance with the safety
regulation valid in the country of use) having
a carrying capacity rated and guaranteed by
the manufacturer.
- Never depend on only one means of

verse. Considerare l’eetto di altri carichi

• Evitare di orientare i microfoni nella stessa
direzione degli altoparlanti; potrebbero ge-
nerare fastidiosi inneschi (eetto Larsen).
• Evitare di toccare il cono degli altoparlanti
con qualsiasi oggetto o con le mani per non
arrecare danneggiamenti irreparabili.
• Prima di iniziare qualsiasi operazione di ma-
nutenzione o pulizia disconnettere l’unità
dalla rete di alimentazione.
• Per la pulizia del prodotto non usare solventi
tipo acetone o alcool per non danneggiare
la nitura esterna e le serigrae dei pannelli.
• ATTENZIONE! Gli altoparlanti generano un
campo magnetico statico anche quando
non sono collegati o non sono in funzione.
Accertarsi quindi che, durante il montaggio
o il trasporto, gli altoparlanti non si trovino
nelle vicinanze di apparecchi e oggetti che
possano essere inuenzati o danneggiati
da un campo magnetico esterno. In genere,
una distanza di 0,5 m da supporti magnetici
per dati (dischetti, nastri audio e video, carte
bancarie, ecc.) è suciente; per computer e
monitor video potrebbe essere necessaria
una distanza di oltre 1 m.

- Always make sure that the truss structure
intended to support the speakers is sturdy
enough to hold their weight, even under
stressful, adverse conditions.
• Avoid pointing microphones in the direction
of the speakers, as this could result in annoy-
ing feedbacks.
• Avoid touching the cones of the loudspeak-
ers with any object or with your hands, as this
could cause irreparable damage.
• Before starting any maintenance work or clean-
ing the unit, cut o power from the main supply.
• When cleaning loudspeakers, please do not
use solvents such as acetone or alcohol, since
they may damage the of the unit outer nish
and the printings on the panels.
• CAUTION! Loudspeakers produce a static
magnetic eld even if they are not connected
or are not in use. Therefore make sure when
erecting and transporting loudspeakers that
they are nowhere near equipment and ob-
jects which may be impaired or damaged by
an external magnetic eld. Generally speak-
ing, a distance of 0.5 m from magnetic data
carriers (oppy disks, audio and video tapes,
bank cards, etc.) is sucient; a distance of
more than 1 m may be necessary with com-
puter and video monitors.

Le merci sono vendute “franco nostra sede” e
viaggiano sempre a rischio e pericolo del distri-
butore/cliente. Eventuali avarie e danni dovran-
no essere contestati al vettore. Ogni reclamo
per imballi manomessi dovrà essere inoltrato
entro 8 giorni dal ricevimento della merce.
Garanzie e resi
Il prodotto è coperto da garanzia in base alle
vigenti normative.

tare il testo integrale delle “Condizioni Generali
di Garanzia”. Si prega, dopo l’acquisto, di pro-
cedere alla registrazione del prodotto sul sito
www.musiclights.it. In alternativa il prodotto
può essere registrato compilando e inviando il
modulo riportato alla ne del manuale. A tut-
ti gli eetti la validità della garanzia è avallata
unicamente dalla presentazione del certicato
di garanzia. Music & Lights constata tramite ve-
rica sui resi la difettosità dichiarata, correlata
all’appropriato utilizzo, e l’eettiva validità della
garanzia; provvede quindi alla riparazione dei
prodotti, declinando tuttavia ogni obbligo di
risarcimento per danni diretti o indiretti even-
tualmente derivanti dalla difettosità.

Shipments and claims
The goods are sold “ex works” and always travel
at the risk and danger of the distributor. Eventual
damage will have to be claimed to the freight
forwarder. Any claim for broken packs will have
to be forwarded within 8 days from the reception
of the goods.
Warranty and returns
The guarantee covers the xture in compliance
with existing regulations. You can nd the full
version of the“General Guarantee Conditions”on
our web site www.musiclights.it.
Please remember to register the piece of equip-
ment soon after you purchase it, logging on
www.musiclights.it. The product can be also reg-
istered lling in and sending the form available
on your guarantee certicate. For all purposes,
the validity of the guarantee is endorsed solely
on presentation of the guarantee certicate. Mu-
sic & Lights will verify the validity of the claim
through examination of the defect in relation to
proper use and the actual validity of the guar-
antee. Music & Lights will eventually provide
replacement or repair of the products declining,
however, any obligation of compensation for di-
rect or indirect damage resulting from faultiness.

- 1 - INTRODUZIONE
La serie per line-array MA, composta da due mo-
duli a diversa curvatura, nasce dall’esigenza di
sviluppare un sistema di sonorizzazione profes-
sionale compatto in grado di coniugare la perfor-
mance con la rapidità di montaggio e la versatili-
tà di uso. I diusori MA605 e MA615, in versione
amplicata e passiva, sono infatti ingegnerizzati
secondo criteri di modularità e scalabilità per
produrre risultati eccellenti di copertura, coeren-
za di emissione e bilanciamento tonale a partire
da un numero di elementi estremamente ridotto.
L’impiego di trasduttori B&C ed elettroniche Po-
wersoft (per i modelli amplicati), risponde alla
necessità progettuale di sviluppare sistemi orien-
tati verso livelli di qualità e adabilità particolar-
mente elevati, essenziali in contesti di sonorizza-
zione professionale caratterizzati da condizioni
di lavoro intenso e prolungato.
La geometria ad ampia dispersione del MA615
(HxV: 100°x30°) consente ad esempio di ottene-
re un copertura verticale coerente e bilanciata
di 30° sulle brevi distanze con soli due moduli,
mentre le caratteristiche di maggiore direttività
del MA605 (HxV: 80°x10°) sono funzionali alla so-
norizzazione in profondità.
La opportuna combinazione dei due moduli
consente essibilità nella composizione di un
array “J-shaped” in grado di sonorizzare ampie
superci con copertura coerente, direttività con-
trollata, pressione sonora e brillantezza sulle alte
frequenze, superando le limitazioni tipiche dei
sistemi a curvatura costante.
- 1 - INTRODUCTION
MA modules for line-array systems features two
modules having dierent curvature, designed as
a compact professional sound system combining
quick installation and versatility in usage. MA605
& MA615 modules, both available in active or
passive version, are infact designed according to
a logic of modularity and scalability enabling ex-
cellent coverage, coherent sound emission and
tonal balance even through employment of a
limited number of modules.
The need of high levels of quality and reliability
-both required in contexts of professional sound
reinforcement due to extended and demanding
working conditions- led to selection of rened
components as B&C transducers and Powersoft
electronics (for active models).
MA615 wide-dispersion pattern (HxV: 100°x30°)
grants a coherent and balanced 30° vertical cov-
erage on short distances with two modules only,
while MA605 higher directivity (HxV: 80°x10°) al-
lows a longer and deeper sound projection.
Proper combination of the two modules is func-
tional to exibility in composition of “J-shaped”
array sets to cover wide venues with coherent
coverage, controlled directivity, sound pressure
and brightness on high frequencies, exceeding
typical limitations of costant-curvature PA sys-
tems.

- 3 - INSTALLAZIONE
3.1 INSTALLAZIONE IN SOSPENSIONE
ATTENZIONE! L’installazione in sospensione del
sistema deve essere eseguita esclusivamente da
personale qualicato nel rispetto delle proce-
dure di assemblaggio in sicurezza. Un ssaggio
stabile del sistema costituisce un requisito fonda-
mentale, così da evitare qualsiasi condizione di
pericolo per l’incolumità di persone o strutture.
Per evitare il pericolo di cadute non sovrapporre
fra loro più diusori senza utilizzare adeguati si-
stemi di ancoraggio. Prima di sospendere il diu-
sore controllare tutti i componenti da utilizzare,
che non devono presentare danni, deformazioni,
corrosioni e/o parti mancanti o danneggiate che
possono ridurre la sicurezza dell’installazione.
Inoltre, osservare le seguenti precauzioni:
• L’installazione in sospensione deve essere ef-
fettuato con estrema cautela.
• Durante l’installazione indossare sempre il ca-
sco e calzature di protezione.
• Non permettere alle persone di passare sotto
il sistema durante il processo di installazione.
• Non lasciare mai incustodito il sistema duran-
te il processo di installazione.
• Non installare il sistema su aree di accesso
pubblico.
• Non attaccare altri carichi al sistema principale.
• Non esporre il sistema a carichi aggiuntivi cre-
ati dal vento o neve.
I sistemi MA sono predisposti al sollevamento in
array di forma e dimensione variabile con un si-
stema di sospensione progettato per un utilizzo
rapido, essibile e sicuro.
Le casse acustiche vengono collegate l’una con
l’altra a formare una colonna grazie ad un siste-
ma di agganci integrati con la struttura portante
delle singole casse acustiche. L’unico elemento
da aggiungere per la realizzazione di array è la
barra di sospensione MA6BAR. Il sistema di so-
spensione integrato fornisce nella parte superio-
re del modulo due sedi di aggancio e nella parte
inferiore due aste forate (g.5).
- 3 - INSTALLATION
3.1 SUSPENDED INSTALLATION
WARNING! Suspending the system should only
be done by qualied personnel following safe rig-
ging practices. Make sure the speaker is installed
in a stable and secure way in order to avoid any
condition of danger to persons or structures.
To prevent the risk of speakers falling, never stack
the speakers without using an adequate anchor-
ing system.
Before suspending the speakers, carefully check
all the components to be used to make sure
there is no damage, deformation, corrosion, or
missing or damaged parts that could reduce the
safety of the installation.
We also recommend to observe the following
precautions:
• Suspending loads should be done with ex-
treme caution.
• When deploying a system always wear pro-
tective helmets and footwear.
• Never allow people to pass under the system
during the installation process.
• Never leave the system unattended during
the installation process.
• Never install the system over areas of public
access.
• Never attach other loads to the array system.
• Never expose the system to extra loads cre-
ated from the wind or snow.
The MA systems are built to allow the suspension
of arrays with variable shape and dimensions
thanks to a suspension mechanism designed to
be functional, exible and safe.
The loudspeakers are linked together in a col-
umn using a series of couplers integrated in the
frame of each enclosure. The only element that
needs to be added is the ying bar, MA6BAR.
The suspension system integrated provides, in
the upper part of the module, two hooking seats
and in the lower part of the module, two rods
drilled (g.5).

ATTENZIONE! Installare il diusore rispettando
tutti gli standard di sicurezza.
NOTA IMPORTANTE: Il numero massimo totale di
diusori che si possono appendere in cascata è
6 (sei).

3.2 PROCEDURA DI MONTAGGIO
1. Collegare le stae della barra di sospensione
MA6BAR, con il diusore della serie MA, me-
diante due spine di aggancio rapido (g.6).
2. Togliere le due spine ad aggancio rapido che
trattengono le aste forate del diusore in po-
sizione di trasporto (g.7).
3.2 MOUNTING PROCEDURE
1. Connect the MA6BAR brackets to the rst MA
loudspeaker using two quick lock pins (g.6).
2. Remove the two quick lock pins that retain
the rods drilled of the MA loudspeaker in the
trasport position (g.7).

3. Collegare il primo diusore MA al secondo
mediante le aste forate e due spine di aggan-
cio rapido (g.8).
3. Connect the second loudspeaker to the rst
using the rods drilled and two quick lock pins
(g.8).

4. Collegare gli altri diusori seguendo la stessa
procedura per la connessione di un singolo
diusore. Controllare che tutte le spine di ag-
gancio rapido siano correttamente bloccate
(g.9).
NOTA - Per vericare il corretto inserimento delle
spine ad aggancio rapido, bisogna esercitare una
certa forza di trazione sulle stesse: non devono
assolutamente slarsi a pulsante sollevato (g.10).
4. Connect all the loudspeakers following the
same procedure and connecting a single
loudspeaker each time. Check that all the
quick lock pins are secured and locked (g.9).
NOTE - Always verify that the pins are inserted
correctly, by trying to remove them: it is manda-
tory that they cannot be extracted if the release
button is not pressed (g.10).

5. La barra di sospensione MA6BAR può essere
sollevata tramite uno dei punti di sospensio-
ne presenti sulla traversa forata. Montare il
grillo al foro numerato indicato dalla scheda
di congurazione presente sul pannello po-
steriore del diusore. Poi agganciare la barra
di sospensione al dispositivo di sollevamento
(g.11).
5. MA6BAR ying bar can be lifted using one
of suspension points on the central support
bracket. Choose the appropriate hole posi-
tion according to the conguration tab on the
rear panel of loudspeaker and x the shackle
to the ying bar. Then, connect the MA6BAR
ying bar to the hoist connector chain using
the shackle (g.11).

6. Data l’estrema varietà delle congurazioni
possibili, viene fornito a corredo dei diuso-
ri MA, una scheda di congurazione presen-
te sul pannello posteriore del diusore, che
indica le possibili congurazioni dell’array e
quindi il punto di ancoraggio per ottenere il
puntamento desiderato del sistema (g.12).

gurations, MA loudspeakers are provided
with a conguration tab on the rear panel
which allows the simulation of the array con-
guration and consequently the coupling
point for the conguration chosen (g.12).

3.3 CONFIGURAZIONE IN SOSPENSIONE
Il sistema MA a curvatura modulare è composto
da moduli a diversa angolazione:
• MA605A/MA605P (HxV 80°x10°) per lunga
gittata
• MA615A/MA615P (HxV 100°x30°) per corta
gittata
Gli altoparlanti MA sono progettati per una va-
sta gamma di applicazioni (usando da 2 no a
sei moduli) con una chiara prospettiva di fornire
soluzioni di array essibili, congurabili per le di-
verse situazioni di amplicazione audio.
Sono riportate di seguito alcuni esempi di con-
gurazioni tipo:

MA modules for line-array systems features two
modules having dierent curvature.
• MA605A/MA605P (HxV 80°x10°) for long
throw application
• MA615A/MA615P (HxV 100°x30°) for short
throw application
The MA loudspeakers are designed for a wide
range applications (using from 2 up to six mod-
ules) with a clear perspective to provide exible,
congurable array solutions to the most various
sound reinforcement situations.
The standard congurations are shown in the fol-
lowing table:
