IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed. These instructions should be saved for future
reference:
•Read and familiarise yourself with all operating instructions before
using this appliance.
•Before plugging your appliance into the mains, visually check that it is
intact and has not suffered any transit damage.
•Check the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds with that of
the local network before connecting the appliance to the mains power
supply.
•Do not use this appliance with a programmer, timer, separate remote
control system or any other device.
•Do not immerse this appliance in water or any other liquids.
•Cooking appliances should be positioned in a stable location with the
handles if any positioned to avoid spillage of liquids.
•This appliance shall not be used by children from 0-8 years. This
appliance can be used by children from 8 years if they are continuously
supervised. This appliance can be used by people with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children
less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children.
•Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
•Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the mains
supply.
•Always use this appliance on a solid, level, heat resistant surface.
•Always unplug the power cord after the appliance has been used,
before it is cleaned and whilst being repaired.
•If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
it’s service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
•Do not operate the appliance with a damaged plug or cord, after a
malfunction or after being dropped or damaged in any way.
•Regular periodic checks should be carried out on the mains cable to
ensure no damage is evident. Should there be any signs of damage the
appliance should not be used.

•Do not allow the mains cable to hang over sharp edges or come into
contact with hot surfaces.
•Do not run the mains cable under carpets, rugs etc.
•Allow the unit to cool before storage.
•Never place the appliance near to flammable material or high pressure
containers.
•This appliance is intended for household use only and should not be
used for industrial or commercial purposes.
•Do not use this appliance for anything other than it’s intended use.
•Do not push objects into any openings as damage to the appliance
and/or electric shock may occur.
•Ensure the appliance is situated in an open area, do not allow it to
come into contact with cupboards, curtains, wall coverings, clothing or
other flammable materials.
•Unplug after each use, grasp the plug not the cord.
•Never place this appliance on an electric, gas or any other type of hob.
•WARNING: Do not attempt to move the appliance whilst hot.
•Only use cooking oil with this Crêpe Maker.
•CAUTION: The outside surface of this appliance will get hot during
use.
•PLEASE NOTE: Before use, ensure that the Crepe Maker is used in an
open, well ventilated area well away from other appliances and other
obstructions.
•Do not use the Crepe Maker in front of, near or below combustible
materials such as plastics, curtains or cupboards, etc.
•Do not place the appliance against a wall or against other appliances.
Leave at least 10cm minimum free space on the back and sides and
10cm minimum free space above the appliance.
•Do not place anything on top of the appliance.
•Do not use metal utensils with this appliance as this will damage the
non-stick coating only use wooden or plastic utensils.

Before first use
•Remove all packing materials and dispose of responsibly.
•Clean the cooking plate with a damp cloth or sponge.
•Lightly grease the cooking plate with a little cooking oil.
Description of parts
Before Using Your Crepe Maker
•Ensure that the Cooking Plate (1) is clean and free of dust. If necessary, wipe over with a
clean damp cloth.
•For best results pour a teaspoon of cooking oil onto the cooking plate and spread with an
absorbent kitchen towel, wiping off any excess oil.
NB When the appliance is heated for the first time, it may emit a slight smoke or odour. This is
quite normal and does not affect the safety of your appliance.
Using Your Crepe Maker
•Place the unit on a flat, level, heat resistant surface making sure it is not in contact with a
wall, corner, curtains or any other soft furnishings.
•Insert the plug into the mains socket with the Thermostat Control (1) set fully
anticlockwise, the red Power Indicator (3) and green Ready Indicator (4) will both
illuminate.
•Turn the Thermostat Control (1) clockwise to the desired setting, the green Ready
Indicator (4) will go out, indicating the cooking plate is heating up.
•Once the desired temperature is reached, the green Ready Indicator (4) will illuminate to
indicate the plate has reached the correct cooking temperature.
•Once the green Ready Indicator (4) is on, pour the crepe batter onto the Cooking Plate
(1) and stir in a circular motion using the T-Stick (6) supplied.
NB The green Ready Light (4) will cycle on and off during cooking indicating the correct
cooking temperature is being maintained, this is quite normal.

•Allow the crepe to cook until the surface is no longer liquid and it can be moved slightly.
•Using the spatula, lift and flip the crepe completely over.
•Continue to cook until the underside is browned slightly and easily lifted. Remove crepe
and position on a wire rack and allow to cool before stacking on a plate.
•Adjust the temperature as required after the first crepe is done to obtain best results on
further crepes.
•Repeat as needed stacking the crepes layered between sheets of baking paper and place in
oven to keep warm.
Cleaning and maintenance
•Always turn the power off and remove the plug from the socket outlet before carrying
out any cleaning or maintenance.
•The Cooking Plate (1) is coated in a non-stick cooking surface so little cleaning is needed,
simply wipe the plate with a damp cloth.
•Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
•Do not use harsh or abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners.
•Do not place in a dishwasher.
•Store in a dry cool place away from direct heat or sunlight.
Electrical Connections
This appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin plug to BS 1363. If the plug has to be removed,
it should be cut off and carefully disposed of immediately. To avoid a possible shock hazard,
do not insert the discarded plug into a mains socket.
Fitting a new plug
The mains lead must be connected as shown below. The wires are coloured with the
following code - Brown wire = Live (L), Blue wire = Neutral (N), Green & Yellow = Earth (E).
•The Blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured Black.
•The Brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured Red.
•The Green & Yellow wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured Green.
•Check that there are no cut or stray strands of wire inside the plug.
•The plug must be fitted with a 7 Amp BS 1362 fuse, only use BSI or ASTA approved fuses.
•If you are in any way unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualified
electrician.
•After replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug, the cover must be refitted to the
plug; the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover.
