1. General Information
1.1 Attention before Use
Thank you for your purchase of Multi-use Digital Balance.
This manual describes the performance of the purchased product, how to use the product,
and precautions in handling. Please make sure to read this product manual carefully before
use.
The matters that require user attention have warning signs as shown below. Therefore,
please understand each warning sign and its meaning to use the product safely.

Caution of High Temperature
A hot heater is used so that there is the risk of a burn.

1. General Information
1.2 Product Overview
This product is a digital scale for analysis in laboratory which provides accuracy and
convenience. It supports quick and precise measurement and has a variety of measurement
functions for wider use purposes. The product is developed and manufactured in the best
consideration of user convenience and safety and has the features as follows:
1. Stainless Steel Panel of the product is detachable and attachable and is easy to be cleaned.
2. The external function of zero adjustment makes possible precise measurement and calibration.
3. Rechargeable batteries support portability of the product.
4. There are various functions, such as animal weighing, weight, counting, percentage, carat,
comparison weighing, and specific gravity measuring.
5. The product is made of stainless steel and ABS so that it features chemical resistance and high
portability.

2. Installation Information
2.1 Product Installation
1. DO NOT lay the product on the floor or impose a shock on it. Otherwise, the product can get
internal damage.
2. Install the product on the firm and flat floor and make sure to use it in a stable place.
3. Avoid a place where static electricity or unstable power supply occurs.
4. DO NOT install in a place which has the risk of vibration.
5. DO NOT install in a place near a heater, or exposed to direct sunlight.
6. DO NOT install in a door or a window in which wind reaches the scale.
7. If water or organic solvent flows in the controller or main body of the product, a short circuit
may occur. Therefore, DO NOT install in a place with such flow-in risk.
8. DO NOT put the scale in a wet place long. If the cold scale is put in a warm place, moisture can
be condensed. In this case, use the product after the scale is adapted to room temperature.
9. This product is designed to be operated well at rated voltage. Therefore, check the voltage
before installing the product.
10. Make sure to use the POWER CORD offered together with the product in order to install and
use the product.
11. Install in a proper place, turn the leveling feet to make the air bubble of the level at the back
center adjusted at the center
12. If a weighing dish is used, take a light and disposable paper (glassine paper) or plastic dish
which sells for laboratory experiments. If the capacity of a weighing dish is large, it is possible
to use the dish in line with the capacity of the scale.
13. DO NOT get the product exposed to high humidity long. It is impossible to detect the
accumulation of high humidity which can occur when cold equipment is exposed to a warm
environment. In this case, power off the product and get it adapted to room temperature for
more than 2 hours.

3. How to Use
3.1 Attention in Use
Before use
Make sure to read this user manual fully and the manual of a laboratory before
using this product. This product should be used only by permitted persons.
Install the product on the firm and flat floor. Otherwise, an accident may occur
through carelessness.
Make sure to use a proper power type (AC 230V, 50/60Hz).
Make sure to use this product at less than an available load.
Warnings
- Make sure to follow the instructions.
Make sure to operate the product indoor at 5℃-40℃. Using the product long at
more than the available temperature range may cause a failure.
DO NOT damage, process, bend by force, pull, or bind up the power cord. In
addition, DO NOT put something heavy on the cord. Otherwise, the damage to
the power cord may cause a fire or an electric shock.
DO NOT spray water the product directly or wash it with water. Otherwise, a
short circuit or an electric shock may occur.
DO NOT touch the power plug and other electric parts with your wet hands.
Otherwise, an electric shock may occur.
To operate or stop running the product, DO NOT plug or unplug the power cord.
Otherwise, a short circuit or an electric shock may occur.
DO NOT install the product in a wet and dusty place.
Otherwise, overheat or a short circuit may occur. (Pollution Grade 2)
DO NOT install the product at the altitude of more than 2,000 meter (6,562 feet).
DO NOT move this product or its shelf if the scale is powered on.
Carefully put a sample to weight on the scale, and DO NOT impose a shock
suddenly.
DO NOT use in a place with constant sunlight and a place exposed to rain.
Otherwise, the product may get overheat or an electric defect.
(DO NOT use it outdoor.)

flammable chemicals. A spark of a switch may cause ignition.
DO NOT let an unpermitted person to disassemble or transform the product.
Otherwise, a severe electric trouble may occur, and no warranty service is
provided by DAIHAN Scientific Co., Ltd.
Make sure to use a grounded socket.
DO NOT ground to a gas pipe, a plastic water pipe, or a phone line.
Otherwise, an electric shock, a fire, a failure, or an explosion may occur.
Regularly check that the power plug has dust. Connect the plug completely. If the
plug has dust or is not connected completely, an electric shock or a fire may occur.
If the product is not used long, unplug it for safety. Otherwise, dust may cause
ignition and heating.
To separate the power plug, make sure to hold the plug. If you hold the power
cord only to separate the plug, some internal wires of the cord may have
disconnection which causes ignition.
If abnormal noise or abnormal operation symptom is found in use, immediately
power off the product, unplug, and contact the product supplier or the Technical
Support Team of DAIHAN Scientific Co., Ltd.
To move the product, unplug the product and be careful not to get the power cord
and the product damaged. The damage to the cord may cause an electric shock or
ignition.
To transport the product or store in the high humidity state, check the package
condition before use. If the box or the wood box sinks in water, contact the
Technical Support Team of DAIHAN Scientific Co., Ltd.
DO NOT operate the product until an engineer checks it. Otherwise, an electric
shock or a fire may occur.
DO NOT give a permanent load to the scale. Otherwise, its measuring system
may be damaged.
Overload or a shock reduces the weight load of a container. Strictly avoid
overload or a shock. For a product failure caused by such improper use, no
warranty service is provided by the head office.
Weighing an object and adjusting a weight should be performed at a certain
internal in the range of quality assurance. To do that, a user needs to determine a
proper internal and the characteristics and range of weighing and adjustment.

A heater is built in. Touching the heater in operation may cause a burn. To open
or close a moisture analyzer, use the grip of the heater cover.
A part of the moisture analyzer gets very hot and may cause a fire. Therefore, DO
NOT put nothing over the heater cover.
DO NOT use the product near a heater or an air conditioner.
DO NOT use in a place with constant sunlight and a place exposed to rain.
Otherwise, the product may get overheat or an electric defect.

※All circuits, and electric & mechanical parts and components used for this product are
technological assets of DAIHAN Scientific Co., Ltd. The product should be repaired only by the
technician(s) in the Technical Support Team of DAIHAN Scientific Co., Ltd. or by the
technician(s) approved through the education of DAIHAN Scientific Co., Ltd.
The voltage fluctuation of the main power should be lower than +/-10% of
nominal voltage.
The maximum relative humidity is 80% at 31℃, and 50% at 40℃.
To transport the product or store in the high humidity state, check the package
condition before use. If the box or the wood box sinks in water, contact the
Technical Support Team of DAIHAN Scientific Co., Ltd.
DO NOT operate the system until an engineer checks it. Otherwise, an electric
shock or a fire may occur.
When an error occurs, the maximum sound level of a buzzer is 60dB at the
distance of 1m.
Install the product in a place with good ventilation. Be careful not to get the
ventilation hole on the lateral or back side of the product blocked by a wall or an
object. Otherwise, a fire or a failure may occur.

3. How to Use
3.2 The Name of Each Part
External
This key is used to improve precision in weighing mode. Once this key is
pushed, precision is improved twice, and one more digit place appears on
Display. If this key is pushed again, the display returns to its original state.
While percent weighing, precision improves in the order of ‘ 0 % ’ -> ‘ 0.1 % ’ -
> ‘ 0.01 %’ whenever the key is pushed.
This key is used to move a digit when the set value of comparison weighing is
entered.
This key is used to change a mode from weighing mode. The mode is
changed in the order of G -> lb -> oz -> CT -> % -> Counting(PCS) ->
Check(CHK)
-> Animal(ANI) whenever the key is pushed.
This key is used to change a unit quantity in counting.
This key is used to change a number when the set value of comparison
weighing is entered.
This key is used when the platter is empty and the zero indicator is set
differently.
This key is used to exit from setting mode.

3. How to Use
3.3 Directions
3.3.1. Display

3.3.3. Basic Operation
1) Weighing
(1) General weighing –which is used when gram (g) unit is applied for general weighing.
Push CONVERSION key repeatedly until g(gram) or ct) is displayed.
Whenever PRECISION key is pushed, a precision value is changed. At double precision,
an additional digit appears.
When TARE key is pushed, a container weight is displayed as ‘0’. On the display part,
‘tare’appears. If this key is pushed after the container is removed, ‘TARE’disappears and
zero appears.
If zero is not set correctly, push ZERO key to set the scale to ‘0’. If an actual weight is out
of the minimum available range of the scale, zero calibration does not work.
The bar graph on the top of the display part shows the position of the current weight
value with percentage in the available range of the scale.
(2) Percentage weighing –the current weight value is displayed with % on the basis of the set weight.
Push CONVERSION key repeatedly until %is displayed.
Whenever PRECISION key is pushed, a digit number increases or decreases. In this way,
precision can be changed.

This key works in the same way as in General Weighing mode. When this key is pushed, a
container weight value is set to ‘0’and ‘tare’is displayed.
This key works in the same way as in General Weighing mode.
The current percentage value is displayed with a graph.
(3) Setting a reference value of percentage
When MENU key is pushed, ‘REF.Set’ message
Flickers and then setting mode appears.
When ‘ Ld 100 ’ is displayed, load 100% weight.
When MENU key. is pushed,
‘do.InG’ message and
‘SET OK’ message are displayed.
This setting process finishes and
the scale goes to Weighing mode automatically.
When ZERO key is pushed while setting, the setting process is cancelled.
‘ EXIT ‘ message appears and the scale goes to
Weighing mode automatically
(4) Counting
Push CONVERSION key repeatedly until pcs is displayed.
This key works in the same way as in General Weighing mode. When this key is pushed, a
container weight value is set to ‘0’and ‘tare’is displayed.

This key works in the same way as in General Weighing mode.
The position of the current weight is displayed with a graph in the same way as in General
Weighing mode.
(5) Setting a reference value of counting
It is possible to select one of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100 as a reference quantity.
When ENTER key is pushed,
‘REF.Set’ message flickers and
Setting mode appears.
Of Ld 10 -d 100, the latest set number
appears.
Push this key repeatedly until a proper
quantity appears.
Put the part or weight equal to the displayed
quantity on the platter and push ENTER key.
‘do.InG’ message appears first and then
‘SET OK’ message appears. The setting process
finishes and the scale automatically goes to
Counting mode.
At this time, the current quantity is displayed,
And counting process can be performed.
When ZERO key is pushed while setting,
the setting process is cancelled.
EXIT message appears and the scale returns to
Counting mode.
(6) Comparison weighing
Comparison weighing is used when a user sets a target value and compares the target value with a sample
weight.
A difference between a target value and the current weight value is shown on the Display part.
If the current weight value is lower than a target value, a negative value appears; if equal, ‘0’appears; if
higher, a positive value appears.

Push this key repeatedly until CHK is displayed.
Whenever this key is pushed in the same way as in General Weighing mode, precision is
changed. At double precision, an additional digit appears.
If the current value is lower than a target value, the bar graph moves in between LOW and
OK; if higher, it moves in between OK and HI.
** When a weight is checked, ZERO and TARE keys do not work.
(7) Setting a target value of comparison weighing
When MENU key is pushed,
‘TArGEt‘ message flickers and
Setting mode appears.
The first digit flickers.
To change a digit, use CONVERSION key.
Whenever this key is pushed, a digit is changed.
To move to the next digit to change,
use PRECISION key.
Change a set value by performing
the above procedure repeatedly.
When MENU key is pushed,
‘SET OK’ message appears.
After the setting process finishes,
the scale goes to Comparison Weighing mode
automatically.
With the changed target value, it is possible to make comparison weighing.

When ZERO key is pushed while setting, the setting process is cancelled.
EXIT message appears and
the scale returns to Comparison Weighing mode.
(8)Animal weighing
This mode is used to weight a moving object or an animal. A weight value is not stable so that the average
value calculated during a certain time appears.
Push CONVERSION key repeatedly until ANI is displayed.
When MENU key is pushed
AVrIng’ message appears and then
Average weighing starts.
Although the weight value shown externally is changed,
the average value continues to be calculated internally.
The operation remains about 10 seconds, and at this time, ANI flickers on the right bottom to
represent its operation progress.
After 10 seconds, the final value flickers five times and is displayed.
To make a repetition, push MENU key again.
** 1/2d, ZERO, TARE, and BAR GRAPH work in the same way as in General Weighing mode.

4. Product Maintenance
4.1 Maintenance
Multi-use Digital Balance was developed in consideration of various conditions that can occur
in operation. Nevertheless, to use long the system with stable performance, follow each of the
following:
1. Make sure to the rated voltage of AC 230V, 50/60Hz.
2. Operate the product indoor at less than 85% relative humidity and keep an indoor temperature
at 5°C-40°C.
3. If the product is not used long, unplug, dry, and pack it.
4. If the product has a failure in use and its part needs to be replaced, use a genuine part offered by
our company.
5. If a failure is caused by the excess use of the product, maintenance service is not provided.
6. Make sure to use a defined power type.
7. DO NOT touch the power plug and electric devices with your wet hands.
8. To lengthen the lifespan of the halogen lamp, remove finger prints or other impurities.
9. Be careful not to get liquid flow in the device while it is being cleaned.
10. Immediately wipe the spilled liquid or powder in use and make the product clean always.
11. Carefully brush out a sample with large particles or powder or remove it with a small vacuum
cleaner. At this time, make sure to power the product off.
12. If the equipment which has not been used long at least 24 hours since the initial AC power on is
used again, warm up it before use.

4.2 Troubleshooting
Trouble
Checkpoints & Treatments
If there is no display
Check if the scale is powered off.
Check that power cable is connected well.
Check that the supplied power has no problem.
If a measured value continues to
change
Check that there is no move of wind and air.
Check if the installation table or the floor has any
vibration.
Check if the light pan has impurities.
Check nearby devices to see if the problem is caused by
electromagnetic field or static electricity.
If a measured value is not accurate
Check that the scale is set to ‘0’.
Check that the calibration value is correct.
If other errors occur, power the product off and then on again.
※If something abnormal continues to occur even after the above points are checked, contact
your purchase agency or call the service center of the head office at 080-008-3000 to request
customer service.
