This machine must be destined exclusively to the use it has been conceived for. Any other use
shall be considered improper and therefore unreasonable. The manufacturer cannot be held
responsible for any damages caused by improper, wrong or unreasonable use.
The electric, water, draining systems shall be arranged in a suitable position to allow correct
machine installation.
The installer cannot modify the existing systems (see chapter “setting up for installation” in the
“U ER AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL” attached to each machine).
GENERAL NOTES
The instructions nd w rnings cont ined in this m nu l nd in the “USER AND MAINTENANCE
MANUAL” sh ll be re d c refully, since they provide import nt inform tion on m chine
inst ll tion nd functioning.
Verify the user h s rr nged the systems following the instructions cont ined in the “USER AND
MAINTENANCE MANUAL” tt ched to the m chine.
Check the user's electric system power c p city is sufficient for m chine m ximum power, s
indic ted in its identific tion pl te.
If power c ble needs to be repl ced, use the c ble th t is suggested by the m nuf cturer.
M chine electric s fety is chieved only when the m chine is correctly connected to grounded
electric system.
The m chine must be connected exclusively to n ppropri te cold drinking w ter source. The
m ximum incoming w ter pressure must be of 0.6 Mp .
Moreover, some b sic rules sh ll be followed when using ny electric device:
•Do not use the m chine if you h ve wet h nds or feet
•Do not use the m chine if you re b refoot
•Do not llow children or untr ined people to use the m chine
•Do not w sh the m chine under w ter jet
•Do not le ve the m chine switched on nd un ttended

INSTALLATION
The installation shall be performed in compliance with laws in force and following these
instructions. A wrong installation can damage persons, animals and things. The manufacturer
cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by wrong installation.
The machine must not be installed in places where water jets can be used. The machine must be
installed only in places where it can be used and maintained by skilled professionals.
After unp cking the m chine, check it is und m ged nd no p rts re missing. If you re in ny
doubt, do not use it. P cking elements sh ll never be left within re ch of children, since these
elements re potenti lly d ngerous.
Pl ce the m chine on surf ce gu r nteeing secure support nd djust its feet so th t it is
perfectly horizont l.
The machine weighs over 30 kg and cannot be lifted by one person alone.
Check th t d t on the identific tion pl te m tch with those of the inst ll tion pl ce before plugging the m chine into
the electric system.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
The m chine is equipped with electric supply c ble with no plug. Connect it to the electric system
with switch 7-Pic.1 (see “setting up for inst ll tion” in the “USER AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL”
tt ched to the m chine) ensuring n omnipol r disconnection of the m chine from the electric
system; ensure the plug is compli nt with n tion l l ws.
The bove mentioned oper tion c n be c rried out in two configur tions:

•Connection of electric supply c ble to electric system through certified plug th t must be
ccessible once the m chine h s been inst lled nd is re dy to be used.
As concerns the connection of the supply c ble to the electric system of the building, e ch
conductor sh ll be l belled with the s me code used for the connection to the m chine switch (N=
neutr l, 1= PHASE-1, 2= PHASE-2, 3= PHASE-3, ground symbol for the green-yellow conductor), so
th t their order is not ch nged with subsequent m lfunctioning.
Unwind the electric supply c ble completely to void d ngerous overhe ting.
If the electric supply c ble is d m ged, it must be repl ced by nother c ble provided by the
m nuf cturer or by Technic l Service uthorized by the m nuf cturer.
If the tension of the inst ll tion pl ce does not m tch with the tension on the identific tion pl te,
the connections in m chine electric box nd on the supply c ble must be ch nged following the
wiring di gr m in this m nu l (see connection di gr m in the “WIRING DIAGRAM” section).
WATER INSTALLATION
The minimum nd m ximum pressure of incoming w ter must be of 0.05 MP nd 0.6 MP
respectively for correct m chine functioning.
Connect the flexible hoses s shown in Pic-1. Use solely the supply hoses included in m chine
equipment, old hoses must not be used g in.
Check there re no constrictions or squ shing long the flexible hoses.
Screw the flexible hose ring nuts tight.
INSTALLATION WITH WATER SOFTENER
The softener is recommended in pl ces where w ter supplying the m chine exceeds 10 French
degrees of over ll h rdness to void sc le form tion; moreover, the qu lity of coffee in cup is
improved. W ter softener must be pl ced so th t it is e sily ccessible for m inten nce nd next
to the dr in siphon (see w ter softener instructions).
It is recommended th t norms on w ter for hum n consumption be followed when choosing
w ter softener.
For further inform tion on w ter softener nd its m inten nce, see “USER AND MAINTENANCE
MANUAL” tt ched to the softener.
INSTALLATION WITHOUT WATER SOFTENER
If water softener installation is not necessary, it is indispensable to install a cartridge FILTER
immediately under the water tap 1-Pic.1 to avoid damages in machine water pump due to the
presence of sediments.
Put the hose from water system and/or softener in a vessel, turn on the water and let it flow for
a few minutes to remove any possible residue from the new pipes before connecting the hose to
the machine.
DRAINING SYSTEM
Inst ll the flexible dr in hose 4-Pic.1 on the hose holder of the dr in drip tr y pl ced under the
w ter collection tr y nd plug the other end of the hose directly into the dr in siphon 5-Pic.1.
Check the dr in hose is properly inclined to llow the tr y to empty quickly.

STARTING AND HEATING UP THE MACHINE
Follow ll the instructions with the help of the controls di gr m nd description in the “USER AND
MAINTENANCE MANUAL”.
St rt the m chine fter checking ll connections.
Turn on the w ter t p 1-Pic.1 nd m ke sure there re no le king connections in flexible hoses 2-
Pic.1.
Turn on the ON/OFF electric supply switch 7-Pic.1 nd turn the m chine switch clockwise (see
“USER AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL”).
Check the displ y on front control p nel turns on nd shows:
MAIN SCREEN DISPLAY
The m in screen (e.g. in 3-group) dis ppe rs nd the v lues below group nd boiler icons st rt
blinking to show the units re he ting up.
Immedi tely fterw rds, the symbol st rts blinking to indic te boiler
is filling up.
At the end of the filling ph se, the symbol dis ppe rs nd the v lues
below group nd boiler icons st rt blinking to show the units re he ting
up.
When ll units re ch the set temper ture, the v lues below group nd
boiler icons stop blinking.
Now the coffee m chine is re dy for use.
FUNCTIONING
All m chine functioning instructions c n be found in the “USER AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL”
tt ched to e ch m chine.
ADJUSTING MACHINE SETTINGS
This coffee m chine h s whole set of p r meters th t c n be djusted to optimize its functions,
coffee extr ction nd energy s ving.
These adjustments must be carried out exclusively by professionals who have been specifically
trained by the manufacturer.
M chine progr mming c n be ccessed through the front control p nel displ y nd the 3
n vig tion buttons below the displ y, which c n ch nge their function ccording to the menu th t
is displ yed.

St rting from the m in screen, push the button for 2 seconds. The
displ y will show:
1- PASSWORD MENU
Push to ccess this menu. The displ y will show:
Use or buttons to choose the Service p ssword level.
Def ult p sswords: User PW: 0000
Service PW: 11111
To enter the p ssword, push or until the desired v lue is
displ yed, then push to confirm it. Once you h ve entered the l st
v lue, if the p ssword is wrong, WRONG PASSWORD will be shown nd
the m in screen will be displ yed. If the p ssword is correct, the
following menu will be displ yed:

2- INFO

3- STEAM BOILER ENABLING
This menu llows you to en ble or dis ble ste m boiler.

4- TIMER SET UP
This menu llows to en ble, dis ble nd progr m the weekly timer for
e ch unit. It is lso possible to choose between 2 modes:
- OFF mode – the unit is turned off completely t the desired time nd
will therefore cool off.
-AFETY mode – the unit re ches s fety temper ture t the desired
time. Since it does not cool off completely, it will he t up more quickly.
Select the menu item nd push to enter.

it.
Push to go b ck to previous menu.
Use or to choose the d y to be progr mmed, then push to
ccess the progr mming:

Use or to ch nge boiler turn-on time, then push to confirm.
By confirming, you get to the next v lue. Use or to ch nge it, then
push to confirm it.
Once the progr mming of ll units h s been finished, push until you get to the
previous menu to progr m the other d ys of the week.
Use or to choose “Copy” nd then push to copy the
Mond y progr m to the other d ys of the week. The displ y will show:

Use or to ch nge the d y to which v lues sh ll be copied, then push
to confirm.
Copy the d ily progr m set to ll the other d ys. Otherwise, enter the d y you wish
to progr m differently nd follow the bove-mentioned steps.
If the ON / OFF v lues of e ch unit re set on 00:00 on specific d y, the unit will be
off throughout th t d y.
Once ll the d ys of the week h ve been progr mmed, push nd
then until you get to m in menu.
This picture shows the clock icon nd the boxes corresponding to the
groups. When 3 hyphens re shown in e ch box, it me ns timer is
en bled nd groups re in st nd-by mode.
5- TEMPERATURES SET UP
Push to ccess this menu. The displ y will show:

5-3 Group extr set

(def ult setting: 2°C).
5-4 MCS ste m temper ture set up
Push to ccess this menu nd ch nge the temper ture limit the
MCS must not exceed (def ult setting: 55C°).

This menu is used to set the number of groups to be m n ged by
electronic control.
This menu is set up by the m nuf cturer depending on the number of
groups the electronic control must m n ge.

6-2 Ste m
This menu is used to en ble or dis ble the MCS.

6-3 Seri l number
This menu is used to enter the m chine seri l number, which is set by the
m nuf cturer.

6-4 Continuous pouring
This menu is used to en ble or dis ble the continuous pouring button on
e ch group.

Note: when the continuous pouring button is dis bled, th t s me button

6-5 Auto-fill time-out
This menu is used to set the uto-fill blocking timer (def ult time: 4
minutes for the 2-group, 6 minutes for the 3-4-group).
Usu lly, this oper tion is c rried out by the m nuf cturer during m chine
testing.

6-6 Ste m time-out
This menu is used to djust the timer blocking the MCS when the MCS
temper ture probe does not sense milk temper ture (def ult setting: 60
seconds).

This menu is used to en ble nd djust w ter mixing with the two hot
w ter buttons.
The def ult settings re: S1=NO S2=NO

Push to select S1, then g in to decide whether to en ble
the function or not, then g in to select the v lue to be ch nged.
Use or to ch nge the v lue, push g in to confirm
it.
To djust the second selection, use or to highlight it, then
repe t the bove-mentioned steps.
Once w ter mixing for te h s been progr mmed, push repe tedly
to go b ck to m in menu.
7-DOSES SET UP
This menu is used to progr m the coffee doses corresponding to the S1-
S2-S3-S4 buttons of e ch group nd the hot w ter qu ntity
corresponding to S1-S2 buttons.

7-1 Group 1
Push to enter the progr mming of the 4 pre-set dose buttons.
Extr ct single coffee by pushing the S1 button of group 1, then push S1
g in to stop extr ction t desired dose. Repe t this oper tion on S2
(short double dose), S3 (long single dose), S4 (long double dose).
The new set v lues will be shown t the end of e ch progr mming
oper tion. Once group 1 h s been progr mmed, push to go b ck
to previous menu.
To set up different doses on e ch group, follow the 7-1 instructions.

7-5 Copy group 1 doses to the other m chine groups. Push to
ccess this menu.
Push to confirm the group of origin, then to choose the
group of destin tion nd to confirm duplic tion.
Repe t the oper tion on the groups you wish to copy group 1 d t to.

7-4 Dose set up for hot w ter buttons
Push to ccess this menu.
Access this menu, push S1 on the hot w ter control p nel nd push it
g in when the desired dose h s been re ched to stop nd s ve the
setting.
Repe t the s me steps on the second hot w ter button. At the end of the
oper tion, push to go b ck to previous screen.
Once ll doses h ve been set up, push repe tedly to go b ck to
m in menu.
8-DATA SET UP
This menu is used to set up l ngu ge, me sure, displ y contr st nd
clock. These oper tions re usu lly c rried out by the m nuf cturer, but
it c n be necess ry to djust the settings depending on the country the
coffee m chine is destined to.

This menu is used to en ble nd set up the control of DC ONE or DC II
coffee grinder (GCS function).

connecting port th t will be used, which depends on the type of grinder
in use.

485-232 port converter (option l).

9-5 Set up of GCS extr ctions time-out
This menu is used to set up time-out g p between the pouring of ground coffee
from grinder nd the extr ction of th t s me coffee on coffee m chine. If this time-
out is exceeded, the extr cted coffee won’t be counted in the me n necess ry for
grinder djustment. Push to ccess this menu.

grinder th t is not connected to coffee m chine).

This menu is used to set m ximum number of working cycles on some
components (e.g. w ter pump) fter which the displ y shows
m inten nce request w rning for the specified component.
When the v lues of working cycles re set on 0 (def ult setting), this
function is dis bled.

Type “A” l rms
"Gr.1 time-out",
This l rm is triggered when n extr ction is m de on group 1 through the P5 – “continuous
pouring” button for more th n 120 seconds.
"Gr.2 time-out",
This l rm is triggered when n extr ction is m de on group 2 through the P5 – “continuous
pouring” button for more th n 120 seconds.
"Gr.3 time-out",
This l rm is triggered when n extr ction is m de on group 3 through the P5 – “continuous
pouring” button for more th n 120 seconds.
"Gr.4 time-out",
This l rm is triggered when n extr ction is m de on group 4 through the P5 – “continuous
pouring” button for more th n 120 seconds.
" team time-out",
This l rm is triggered when ste m is produced through the MCS but the milk temper ture probe
does not re ch 30°C within 60 seconds.
Type “ABP” l rms
" team boiler time-out",
This l rm is triggered when the ste m boiler does not re ch the temper ture of 40°C within 10
minutes of turning on. Push the DEL button on displ y to delete the l rm.
"Boiler probe interrupted"
This l rm is triggered when boiler temper ture probe is out of the r nge.
"Boiler probe short circuit"
This l rm is triggered when boiler temper ture probe is out of the r nge.
"Boiler high temperature"
This l rm is triggered when boiler temper ture probe is out of the r nge, exceeding 127,5°C.

This l rm is triggered when MCS probe is out of the r nge.
