DANLERS radio remote control hand senders are used to control
DANLERSradioreceiverswitchesandreceiverdimmers,detailsof
thefullrangeofreceiversareintheDANLERSproductcatalogueand
ontheDANLERSwebsite.
Thehandsendersincorporateeither1,2or12channelsasidentied
by the appropriate product code number.
The 12 channel hand sender HASE 12RFC has 6 pre-selector buttons
(outerringnumbered1-6)withtheswitchingand/ordimmingcontrolled
bythe2innerbuttons.Asinglepressofbuttons1-6serveschannels
1-6,twopressesofbuttons1-6selectchannels7-12.Formoredetails
seediagramsoverleaf.
Aquickuppresswillswitchonareceiverswitchorreceiverdimmer
andaholdinguppresswilldimareceiverdimmerup.Aquickdown
presswillswitchoffareceiverswitchorreceiverdimmerandaholding
downpresswilldimdownareceiverdimmer.
Eachbuttonpairusesauniquecodetoidentifyittotheradioreceiver.
Eachradioreceivercanbeprogrammedtorespondtoupto15different
codes.Thisisdonebytheinstallerbyfollowingtheinstallationnotes
suppliedwiththereceiverswitchordimmer.
RF range reduction
The radio remote control hand senders can transmit up to 100m in
free-air.Thisdistanceisreducedbythefollowingobstaclesasshown:
Approximate transmission distance reduction from100m:
Brickwall 10-50m Metalreinforcedwall 40-80m
Partitionwall 5-20m Metalisedwall 90-100m
Glass sheet 10-30m Plastic sheet 5-20m
Vaporised metal coated glass 40-70m
Thedistancewillbefurtherreducedbymultipleobstaclesorparticularly
thickordampobstacles,suchasthewallsofanoldproperty.

Troubleshooting
Radio receiver switch does not respond to sender:
• Ensurethesenderiscorrectlyassociatedtotheradioreceiver.
• ThesenderistoofarawayorRFabsorbedbybuildingortrees.
  Movesenderclosertoreceiverorconsiderusingarepeater.
• Thesenderbatteryisat(averagelifeapprox.5years).
Change battery, see ‘changing batteries’ section.
• DANLERShandsendersareonlycompatiblewithDANLERSradio
 receiverswitchesanddimmers.
Load and receiver LED ash twice every time the sender is pressed:
• Ensuretheradioreceiverswitchisnotinprogrammingmode.
Radio receiver switch relay clicks but load does not switch on / off:
• Theloadorin-rushcurrentistoolargeandhasdamagedreceiver.
  Useacontactortoswitchoverlimitloads.
Radio receiver dimmer stops working:
• Theloadorin-rushcurrentistoolargeandhasdamagedreceiver.
  Ensurehalogenlampsincludeathermalsafetyfuse.

With the HASE 12RFC to
selectchannels1-6oneofthe
6 pre-selector buttons must be
pressed ONCE before either
of the up or down buttons
are pressed, the presses are
conrmedbythelefthandLED.
To select channels 7-12 one
of the 6 pre-selector buttons
mustbepressedTWICEbefore
eitheroftheupordownbuttons
are pressed, the presses are
conrmed by the right hand
LED.
The HASE 12RFC remembers
the last pre-selector number
used, so if the same pair of
channelsisrequiredagainthe
pre-selectordoesnothaveto
be pressed again.
The HASE 2RF includes a red
conrmationLED.
Please note the conrmation
LEDs just conrm that the
command was sent, not that
itwasreceived.
Preprogrammed receivers
If,byspecialrequest,anyreceivershavebeenfactorypreprogrammed
toanyparticularhandsenders,donottrytoprogramthereceiversto
anyhandsendersyourself.Pleasejustfollowtheinstructionsonhow
toinstallareceiver,alongwithanyadditionalinstructions.
IfyouwishthehandsendertocontrolanyEXTRAreceiversthenthey
canbeuser programmedbyfollowing theprogrammingprocedure
includedintheinstallationnotesofthereceiver.

Changing batteries
The batteries in the hand senders should last approximately ve
years,sincetheyareonlyusedwhenacommandissent(thiscan
beseverelyreducedifthesenderbuttonsareaccidentallyhelddown
down).Ifthetransmissionrangeofthehandsenderstartstoreduce
itisquiteasimpleprocesstochangethebatteries.
HASE 12RFC:
• RemovethebackcoverandreplacethetwoAAAcells.
HASE 2RF:
• Unscrewthebackplate,removetheouterframeandleveroffthe
rockercoverusingascrewdrivertorevealthebattery.Remove
thebatteryretainingclipandreplacetheCR2430batterywiththe
positiveterminalfacingup.Reassembleinreverseorder.
HASE 1RF:
• Removethetwoscrewsfromthe
backofthecasing,keepthecasing
closedandturnitover,withtheblue
buttonsontopremovethetophalf
ofthecasing.Donotremovethetwo
brasseyeletswhicharepartofthe
pushbuttonmechanism.Remove
the battery retaining clip and replace
theCR2430batterywiththepositive
terminalfacingup.Reassemblein
reverseorder,ensuringbrasseyelets
