Remote Control HCP 10 – Installation and User Manual
Introduction This instruction provides the procedures for installing and using the wired Remote
Control HCP 10.
Caution Before you start installing, make sure that the power to the unit is switched off.
Before you start Make sure that you have the HCP10 and a small screwdriver available before you start.
Connect the RJ11 cable to the Domestic Ventilation unit using the MODBUS connection
(2).
Connection Description
1: ETHERNET LAN connecting for wireless router, BMS
2: MODBUS Modbus connection for hardware accessory modul (HAC) and
wired control HCP 10
3: ANTENNA Wireless connection point for proprietary remote control
4: DIGI IN External digital input, to select specific operations. Parameters

Parts This shows the parts that are included with the HCP 10 (wallbox is not included):
Procedure Follow these steps to mount the Remote Control:
Step Action
1 Mount the wallbox in the wall, if not already done.
The HCP 10 fits to a GIRA EAN 4010337061038 or single LK Fuga EAN
5703302105002 (green) wallbox/Unterputzdose.
2 Mount the metal frame on the wallbox using the 2 screws.
3 Put the cable from the wall through the plastic frame and click it into the
socket on the Control panel.
4 Switch the power on and check if the display on the HCP 10 lights up, and

How to calibrate the Domestic Ventilation unit
Introduction Before you can get full benefit of the Ventilation unit, you need to calibrate it.
Calibration
Follow the steps below to calibrate the airflows in the unit according to the values
stated in the specific Service Manual for the unit:
Step Action Result
1 Press and at the same time and keep
them pressed for 5 seconds to activate installer
mode.
The two green LEDs
will flash and the unit
is in calibration mode
2 Supply Air: Press and keep it pressed while you
press to increase the speed of the supply fan.
Alternatively press to decrease the speed.
The speed of the
supply air will be
increased/decreased
3 Exhaust Air: Press and keep it pressed while
you press to increase the speed of the return fan.
Alternatively press to decrease the speed.
The speed of the
exhaust air will be
increased/decreased
4 Press and at the same time and keep them
pressed for 5 seconds to leave installer mode.
The green LEDs will
turn off and the unit
is out of calibration
mode

ventilation unit and/or in the table below.

Using the control panel
Introduction This part describes how to use the remote control (HCP 10). The functionality varies
depending on if any accessory is mounted.
Manual fan speed
When pressing this button once, the fan speed will increase one step. When reaching
step 4 it will switch to speed 0 and then again upwards
Week program
Press once to select week program operation. The unit will operate in latest used
program. Only remote control (HCP 10) or PC Tool
enables you to select
appropriate week program according your local needs.
Week program 11 can be tailor-made also with a mix of fixed fan speeds, as
well as demand mode time periods.
Week program 11 can be programmed with the PC tool.
5 seconds long press will activate demand controlled operation, VOC/RH% sensor kit if
installed.
LED light permanently to indicate week program
LED flashes to indicated auto mode (demand) controlled by the
VOC/CO2sensors.
Demand mode In this mode (Controlled by VOC and RH% sensor (accessory)) the unit will automatically
adjust the ventilation level, to comply with the ventilation needs, measured in the
extract air by the VOC and RH% sensors. This operation mode is only possible if the unit
is fitted with VOC or RH% sensor kit
Summer cooling
mode
Summer cooling mode will stop the supply fan, and new colder outside fresh
air will be suck in through and open window.
Press and hold for 5 seconds for enabling or disabling summer
cooling mode
Supply fan operation will stop in summer cooling mode.
Cold outside air will be supplied into the house directly if opening some
windows - exhaust fan will keep extracting air from the house creating an air
flow.
Summer cooling mode can only be activated if outside temp. is above 14°C. If
the outside temp. is under 14°C. it will be automatically disable and must be
manually enabled again
When summer cooling mode is active the LED flashes 5 seconds and goes off I second

Auto bypass
cooling
mode
Only available if mechanical bypass damper is mounted inside the unit,
and enabled in the PC tool or via remote control (HCP 10).
Automatic bypass cooling is dependent on user settings.
On remote control (HCP 10) and PC tool the following is possible:
Setting the minimum outside temperature within the range
8-15°C.
∙Setting the extract setpoint in which the bypass damper is opened. Range is
22-30°C, with the possiblety to select “off” to disable the auto bypass.
When the following is present the automatic bypass cooling will open.
If outside air is 2°C lower than extract
AND the outside is higher than set point.
AND the extract is higher than set point.
Bypass is closed again if outside or extract conditions is below setpoint.
Bypass LED will light permanenly when damper is open
Manual bypass
mode
Only available if mechanical bypass damper is mounted inside the unit, and
enabled in the PC tool
If the parameter for the auto bypass isent avalible, you can select manually
bypass by presssing the bypass key once. This will override the setpoints,
and activate bypass for 1 hour if the outside temperature is 2°C lower than
inside.
The following parameter must be present for the manual bypass cooling to open:
Outside air < than supply air and extract
Outside air > 9°C
Extract > 15°C
Bypass LED will light when damper is open
Fireplace
A fireplace needs overpressure inside the house in order to avoid smoke in
the living room when lighting it up. Fireplace mode will:
Put supply fan into speed 3
Reduce the extract fan speed to 50% of supply, in order to create
this overpressure.
If supply air <9°C fireplace mode will be disabled
If fireplace is enabled in PC tool the fireplace function can be activated by pressing the
manual fan speed for 5 seconds. Fireplace function is automatically disabled after 7
minutes, but can also be disabled manually by pushing MANUAL for 5 seconds again.
Fan speed 3 LED´s will flash during the 7 minutes fireplace count down.

Filter and error
indications
This button is the alarm reset. If the LED lights up in orange it’s a warning
indicating that the filter needs to be changed. Please see the service guide
section in the Service Manual for the product to learn how to replace the
filters.
Press the button once to mute for a period of time
Press and hold for 10 seconds to reset the filter timer. This can be done with or
without filter alarm is present
When there is an alarm on the unit the Red alarm LED lights will flash as many times as
the alarm number.
