1.1 Touch Panel installation
The touch panel is mounted either on a flash back or wall mounted IEC60670-1 pattress box. The
electrical connection should be done in the following way:
Power off the DanX 1/2/3 unit at the main power switch. Connect the 4 terminals of the touch panel
to the 4 terminals of the DanX HP or XD in the following way:
The Modbuscable to be used is a shielded twisted pairlike atelephone type with a maximum length
of 1000 m. The power supply should be a normal 0,5 mm2two wired cable.
Power on the DanX, wait for about 30 seconds and the following display will show up on the screen:
If the values for temperature and humidity are 0 then check on the backside of the touch screen if
the Modbus signal is connected correctly.

2.0 Touch Panel setup
Take a pen and click on the Dantherm logo on the start screen and follow the instructions. This will
calibrate the screen.
3.0 Touch panel pages
There are four different kind of pages, the start/info pages, the set point pages, the alarm page and
the page for start/stop the unit.
3.1 Start page
1) Touch button for screen calibration
2) Actual room temperature
3) Actual room relative humidity
4) Touch button for Info pages
5) Touch button for start/stop unit and info about the unit status
Unit stopped
Pool occupied (unit is running with outdoor air)
Pool unoccupied (unit is running in recirculation mode)

3.2 Info pages
Touch the black infobutton and you can now seetwo pages with information´sabout the unit. There
will be no information`s about the compressor on a DanX XD unit.
3.3 Setpoint pages
Touch the green tool button and you will be asked for a password which is 2222.
You will now be able to set in the correct setpoints for the unit.
1) The set points for room temperature and relative humidity for occupied and unoccupied
pool hall
2) Air volumes for supply, return and minimum outdoor air
3) Minimum and maximum supply temperature
IMPORTANT:
To activate the set points from the touch panel, you must set the point “BMS_SP_CONTROL” in
the MVC80 controller to YES. See chapter 4.0

3.4 Touch panel settings
The Communication button is only for the service technician where he can check the Modbus
connection between unit and touch panel.
The Settings button will open a new page where you find the following possibilities:
1) Touchscreen click. Activate this option when you want to hear a click sound when
touching the screen
2) Touchscreen finger mode. Activate this option when you want to use your fingers instead
of a pen.
3) Upside down mode. Here you can turn the screen by 180°.
4) Modbus Address. This setting should not be changed.
5) Backlight Brightness –Operating/Standby. Here you can set the backlight for operation
and standby mode.
3.5 Alarm page
If there is an alarm a red alarm icon will be shown on the start display. By touching the icon the
alarm page will open and you can see now which part of the unit has caused the alarm. In the
manual for the DanX unit you will find a guide how to solve the fault.

3.6 Unit start/stop page
Touch the icon with the Unit Status and you will be asked for a password which is 2222.
Now the page with the ON/OFF button will open.
Now touch the OFF button. The OFF icon will now disappear and the ON icon will pop up. Wait for
a few seconds before touching the Home button. Now the unit will be stopped.
When the unit should start up again, you now have to touch the ON button.

4.0 Activating the touch panel set points in the MVC80
Press the Tool button of the MVC80 controller without entering a password and go to:
- Time Program and from there to Unit Configuration:
- Open the program D1-7 you will find there the point “BMS_SP_Control”.
Now set the point “BMS_SP_Control”to ON and the MVC 80 will now run with the set points from
the touch panel.
5.0 Language change
Normally the touch panel works with the same language as the MVC80 controller. If you want to
change the language of the touch panel you have to open “Time Program” / “Unit_Configuration” /
“D1-7” and find the point “Touch_Panel”. Here you can chose the language of the touch panel.
