Instruction Manual: Darimo MTB Handlebar
Thank you for buyin a Darimo product. We desi n from the very first steps to the
handcrafted laminates to exceed your expectations in our products.
It is very important to follow the installation instructions to ensure proper
operation of the product. Improper installation can cause dama es and will reduce
the safety of the components.
You will need a torque wrench to adjust the torque without exceedin the
recommendations. If you do not feel qualified to install the handlebar, ask for a
bike professional to do it. In case of any doubt you can contact us, we will advise
you without any problem.

- Before assembling:
Sandpaper is delivered with the handlebar. Review all sharp ed es of the stem
clampin area. Review all sharp ed es of the brake and shifters lever clampin area.
Any sharp ed e could dama e the carbon fibers of the handlebar.
Do not install a stem with an internal wed e. This type of stems enerates
important surface pressures that will dama e the carbon handlebar. Always install
clamp-type stems with screws.
-Assembling the handlebar in the stem:
Loose the clampin system of your stem. Clean with a wipe all rease rests of
previous installations. Inside the box you will find a small canister with mountin
paste. Apply a thin layer of it on the clampin area of the handlebar or clampin
parts of the stem. This paste will reduce the necessary torque to keep the seat in its
position durin its use.
Do not use rease. Use specifically mountin paste for carbon fiber products.
Assemble the handlebar in the stem ensurin that is centered. Measure both sides
of the handlebar from the stem. Ti hten the clampin bolts of the stem, the
maximum tightening torque for the stem bolts is 4 Nm. Nevertheless if you use
the mountin paste, 3Nm will be enou h to clamp the bar. If you use stems with 4
bolts, ensure that the parts are centered and the torque is equal in all bolts.
Ti hten pro ressively and alternatively the bolts. Never ti hten more than 4Nm.

-Assembling the levers:
Apply a thin layer of mountin paste on the clampin area of the handlebar. Install
the brake and shifter levers. We recommend mountin them between 13cm and
20cm from the end of the handlebar. Ti hten the lever bolts until the levers
become practically fixed. We recommend that the levers could rotate if you make
force. Then the levers won’t break in case of fall. The maximum tightening torque
for the levers bolts is 2.5 Nm. With less torque will be enou h to fix the levers.
- Recommendations for use:
The Darimo MTB Handlebar is reliable and exceeds the standard tests, but it is not
recommended for people overwei hin 90 k .
Check usually the status of the handlebar. If you notice any stran e thin , please
notify us.
Do not use bar-ends in the Darimo Handlebar. If you want to use bar-ends, please
contact with us and buy an specific handlebar for that.
We don’t re ommend to ut the handlebar. If you need, you can cut the
handlebar, but you will lose the end reinforcement which will avoid dama e in the
handlebar ends in case of fall.
Never ex eed the torque limits. If you exceed the torque limits, that will
compromise the handlebar safety and it will not be covered by warranty.
-Warranty:
Darimo products are safe and exceed the requirements of the EN ISO 4210. They
are warranted a ainst defects of materials or workmanship for two years from the
acquisition date. It is necessary to maintain and submit the invoice acquisition. In
case of any problem, contact the store or the dealer where it was purchased or
contact us directly. The warranty does not cover dama es due to improper
installation, wear, misuse, excessive torque, falls and shocks. Whenever there is a
failure either outside the warranty period or for a cause not covered by it, contact
us. We have advanta eous replacement option and we always try to ive our best.
After the acquirin a Darimo product in a shop or a dealer, we recommend you to
send a copy or photo raphy of the purchase invoice with the followin form.
