This owner’s guide book is for the following 2200 watts
electric kettle model:

1. Read these instructions carefully before installing and operating the electric
kettle. Keep them for further reference.
2. Record in the space below the SERIAL NO. found on the name plate on your
kettle and retain this information for future reference.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they
have been given adequate supervision or instructions concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than
8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children
aged less than 8 years.
•Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
adequate supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
•Children shall not play with the appliance.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
•The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
•Please read these instructions carefully before using the water kettle for the
first time.
•Before you connect the kettle to the mains supply, make sure that the voltage
indicated on the rating plate, located on the bottom of the water kettle matches
the mains voltage in your home. If it does not, contact your dealer and do not
use the kettle.
•The kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled. If you want
to stop the heating process before the kettle automatically switches off, press
the On/Off switch handle up.
•After the kettle has switched off automatically (or has been switched off
manually) it may need time to cool down. After 15-20secs, the kettle can be
switched on again.
•Always fill the kettle with water before switching it on.
•If the kettle ever boils dry, the power indicator will go on. Lift the On/Off switch
and unplug. Allow 15 minutes to cool down before refilling it with cold water.
The safety cutout will automatically reset during this time.
•Place the kettle on a stable flat surface.
•Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its stand.
•Do not remove the kettle from its stand during operation. Do not open the top
lid during operation.
•Never immerse the kettle or cord in water or any other liquids. Do not allow any
liquids to penetrate the electrical parts of this kettle.
•Prevent children from pulling on the mains cord or knocking the kettle over.
•Ensure that the mains lead does not overhang the worktop surface.
•Before cleaning the kettle disconnect from the power supply and wait until it
cools down.

•Only use the cord supplied with this kettle. If a replacement is required, only
approved components may be used.
•The outside surface of the kettle may get hot during use, please take care when
using the kettle.
•Never fill in water more than the maximum acceptable water level.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•Keep the electrical appliance out of reach from children or infirm persons. Do not let
them use the appliance without supervision.
•This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
–Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
–Farm houses;
–By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
–Bed and breakfast type environments.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before first use, it is recommended to operate the kettle for 2 or 3 times following
the instructions above, this will remove any dust or residues remaining from the
manufacturing process.
•Take up the jug kettle from the base before filling.
•To fill the jug kettle, open the cover by pulling the lid button inwards, then fill to
the desired level (min0.75L-max.1.7L), close the lid by pressing it down until it
clicks into place.
•Plug the power supply cord into the main, press the On/Off switch down, the
power indicator lights up.
•When the water has boiled the kettle will automatically switch itself off. You can
stop the boiling process at any time by lifting the On/Off switch. The power
indicator will go out.
Note:Do not open the lid when steam is coming out of the spout.
Kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
CLEANING
•First read the instructions in the section titled “Important safety instructions”.
•Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents.
•Empty the kettle and allow it to cool down, open the lid, lift out the filter, rinse the
filter under warm water and brush off any impurities.
•Refitting is the reverse of removal.
•Half fill the kettle with tap water and add the juice of 1 lemon to the water.
•Boil this mixture and allow it to stand for 15 minutes. Re-boil the mixture and
allow it to stand a further 15 minutes. Re-boil this mixture a third time then rinse
the kettle well.
CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THIS PRODUCT
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other
household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the
environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it
responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To
return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or
contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this
product for environmentally safe recycling.
