1. GENERAL INFORMATION
This workbook gives all the information necessary to installation, usage and maintenance of
equipment. Please, read the following directions carefully before starting using the equipment to
avoid risks due to incorrect use of the same.
IMPORTANT –This book must be kept together with the equipment for future consultation. If the
machine is sold or given to others, be sure this book is given too, in order to let the new owner know
the correct functioning of the machine and the corresponding instructions. This equipment is made
in Italy by JEAN MARIE LORENZ S.R.L., Via Lauro n. 5, 84090 San Mango Piemonte (SA)
2. CONTRAINDICATIONS
The device is destined to the exclusive use of professional beauticians and must be used for
treatments of adults only. It is not recommended its use in the presence of skin abrasions in healing
process. Do not use it to treat people with fragile capillaries or telangiectasia.
During the ozonization and vaporization phase, it is fundamental that the client to be treated keeps
his/her eyes closed and protected in order to prevent them from any eventual irritation.
Make sure that clients are not suffering of any allergy to the cosmetics products used for the
treatment.
3. EQUIPMENT CHARACTERISTICS AND ACCESSORIES
VAPODEC is a new concept of herbal steaming device projected for high level professional
operators’ needs. The water reservoir with a large capacity of 2 lt. allows to have constantly the
steaming flow emission for all day long treatments, without any interruption. Herbal, ozone and
aromatherapy functions are incorporated in one steamer only with excellent efficiency into the
steaming process.
The arm is extremelylong (80 cm)inorder to provide maximum comfort treatments for bothoperators
and clients. The rotation of the arm is of 160°, while the rotation of the nozzle is of 360° to forward
steam on clients.
VAPODEC heats the water and transforms it into steam, in a very short time. It is also provided with
steam intensity regulation; steam emitting capacity for one-hour treatments; automatic timer, safe
timer control system to prevent any eventual over-heating.
VAPODEC is also equipped with a magnifier lamp (5 diopters) with optical rounded lens and led
lights. A lamp with a functional and adjustable arm which allows to light on specific targets from
different angles. It isa fundament instrument for operators, tolet them work at the best when treating
skin blemishes with great precision and correct illumination.

4. APPLICATIVE WAYS AND EFFECTS
Vapodec is an equipment for steam treatments on face and small specific body areas.
Vapour is one of the simplest elements used by aesthetics since old times.
It allows the pores dilatation by making a deeper and easier skin cleaning.
If ionized, vapour allows penetration of active substances which complete the effectiveness
of treatments.
The skin will be bright and smooth once free from impurities and toxins.
5. DOSAGE
The treatment can be repeated any time a deep facial cleansing is requested. According to
clients’skin type (i.e. dry, mixed or oily skin), the operator will schedule the frequency of the
treatment. It is recommended to observe a duration from 10 to 20 minutes per each
treatment.
6. METHODS
BEFORE TREATMENT
Inform the subject about the type of treatment and the results that may be obtained. Client
must be relaxed and placed ina correct and comfortable position. Before vaporization, clean
the area to be treated carefully and protect client’s eyes.
Be sure that the switch ON-OFF is on OFF position.
Be sure that the device water tank is filled in with bi-distilled water.
To perform aroma therapy treatment, it is necessary remove the felt ring from the arm
nozzle, pour few drops of essential oils on it and place the felt ring again at its own location.
To perform steam treatment with cosmetic herbs, after having put them into the proper herbs
container, install the herbs container into the steam out at the top of the arm.
To power the VAPODEC on, place the switch on “I” position; soon after the main “Screen”
appears. At this point, the operator will select time, functions and intensity of the steam flow
through the knob/encoder. After the steam flow emission, regulate the flow with the knob.
Place and fix the steamer arm in order to direct the steam flow on the client’s body area to
treat, at a distance over than 40-50 cm.

DURING TREATMENT
Make sure of the correct steam emission and of the absence of any kind of client’s nuisances
during the treatment. In contrary case, stop the treatment immediately.
AFTER TREATMENT
Switch off the device through the ON/OFF switch. Dry the treated area by using an absorbing
tissue and remove any eventual impurities.
The room must be ventilated before a new treatment.

All material and components of which the equipment is made up of are in compliance
with Directive 2011/65/UE about the restriction of the use of certain hazardous
substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
9. INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY
When you receive the equipment, please check the integrity of both packaging and
equipment, in order to inform us opportunely about possible damages during transportation.
Be sure the electrical system of the working place has been realized in accordance with the
regulations applied to the usual activity of beautician profession. The equipment must be
placed on a stable surface in order to avoid any components and accessories falling down
and causing damages to the device.
It is absolutely not allowed to install the machine near to baths, washbasins, other
containers/sources or equipment which can accidentally leak drops or sprinkles and also in
proximity to heating and fire sources; it is even dangerous when the equipment is not under
use.
Please check if the voltage (VOLT) and the absorption power (WATT), indicated on the
identifying label placed at the rear of the machine, are compatible with the current available
into the plug. On the contrary case, avoid absolutely to connect the machine. Before plug
in at mains electricity outlet, check the power switch is on “0” position. Do not use any
reduction or not supplied cord.
Connect the equipment at the mains electricity outlet; this latter one should be supplied with
a grounded connection in accordance with the local provisions of law.
Do not place any weights on the cord and avoid to walk on it. To disconnect the equipment
hold the plug and not pull the power line.

ASSEMBLY PROCESS:

2. Slightly screw the white knob in clockwise direction to block the arm

3. To fill the insight water tank with bi-distilled water as follows:
- Connect the supplied transparent hose to the out “AIR RELEASE / TOO FULL WATER
TANK”

- Place a recipient under the transparent hose (FIG.3a) for the collection of the water in
excess. At the end of the water tank filling, keep always connected the transparent
hose to the device even during treatments.
- Remove the boiler cap placed on the top of the VAPODEC (FIG.3b)

- Place the supplied little funnel as showed in FIG.3c and proceed in filling and/or
refilling of the internal water reservoir until the excess water starts leaking out from the
transparent tube (FIG.3a).

- Close the vapozone boiler with its cap by doing a slight pressure on it (FIG.3b)
- Keep always connected the transparent hose to the device even during
treatments.

USAGE
Forward the lamp to light up the desired area. Switch off the lamp after use.
11. USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
CHANGE LANGUAGE
1. Switch on the vapozone through the ON/OFF switch and at the same time keep
pushed the knob up to the current language appears on the display.

2. Turn the knob to select the desired language and push it to confirm.
Switch on the device: the following screen will appear and a short “beep” will be hearing.
After few seconds, the following “MAIN MENU” screen will appear
START OF TREATMENT WITH TIMER OFF
1. Turn the knob to select “START” and then press it to confirm. In this circumstance,
the VAPODEC will function in “continuous cycle” mode.

START OF TREATMENT WITH TIMER ON
1. Turn the knob to select “TIMER” and press it to set up the required minutes:
5/10/15/20/25/30 (the pre-selected time intervals are of 5 minutes each “click”)
2. Turn the knob to select “START” and press it to start the treatment
After having selected and confirmed “START”, the “WATER LOADING” screen will appear
The required time to fill in the empty boiler is of 2 minutes and 20 seconds.
(During this phase, press “STOP” to interrupt the water loading only if you don’t want to go
on with the treatment any longer).
Successively, the following screen will appear:

Wait for the steam flow emission.
When the steam flow emission is starting to come out, turn the knob to select “POWER”;
press it and set up “POWER” at “50%”(standard parameter for treatment).
It indicates the minute left to the end
treatment when the TIMER is on.
