2 Important safety instructions

w ll help you avo d r sk of njury and damage.

follow these nstruct ons.
General safety
• This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Connect the appl ance to an earthed
outlet/l ne protected by a fuse of su table
capac ty. Have the earth nstallat on made
by a qual f ed electr c an. Our company
shall not be l able for any problems ar s ng
due to the appl ance not be ng earthed n
accordance w th the local regulat ons.
• If the supply cord s damaged, t must be
replaced by the manufacturer, ts serv ce
agent or s m lar qual f ed persons n order
to avo d a hazard.
• Do not operate the appl ance f t s
defect ve or has any v s ble damage.
• Do not carry out any repa rs or
mod f cat ons on the appl ance. However,
some ssues may remed ed that do not
requ re any repa rs or mod f cat ons. See
Troubleshooting.
• Never wash down the appl ance w th
water! There s the r sk of electr c shock!
• Never use the appl ance when your
judgment or coord nat on s mpa red by
the use of alcohol and/or drugs.
• The appl ance must be d sconnected from
the ma ns dur ng nstallat on, ma ntenance,
clean ng and repa r procedures.
• Be careful when us ng alcohol c dr nks n
your d shes. Alcohol evaporates at h gh
temperatures and may cause a f re s nce t
can gn te when t comes nto contact w th
hot surfaces.
• Do not heat closed t ns and glass jars n
the oven. The pressure that would bu ld
up n the t n/jar may cause t to burst.
• Do not place any flammable mater als
close to the appl ance as the s des may
become hot dur ng use.
• Do not place bak ng trays, d shes or
alum n um fo l d rectly onto the bottom of
the oven. The heat accumulat on m ght
damage the bottom of the oven.
• Keep all vent lat on slots clear of
obstruct ons.
• The appl ance may be hot when t s n
use. Never touch the hot burners, nner
sect ons of the oven, heaters etc.
• Always use heat res stant oven gloves
when putt ng n or remov ng d shes from
the hot oven.
• Do not use the appl ance w th the front
door glass removed or cracked.
• The rear surface of the oven gets hot
when t s n use. Make sure that the gas/
electr cal connect on does not come nto
contact w th the rear surface as
connect ons may get damaged.
• Do not trap the ma ns cable between the
oven door and frame and do not route t
over hot surfaces as the cable nsulat on
may melt and cause a f re as a result of a
short c rcu t.
• Make sure that the funct on knobs are
sw tched off after every use.
• When us ng Gas, ensure that the room s
well vent lated.
• Always keep ch ldren and nf rm persons
away from the appl ance when t s n use.
• Only use the appl ance for prepar ng food.
• Use a deep pan, large enough to cover
the appropr ate burner.
• Always dry food thoroughly before plac ng
t n hot o l or fat. Frozen food n part cular
w ll sp t and splatter f added too qu ckly.
• Never f ll the pan more than one th rd full
of fat or o l.
• Never heat fat or fry w th a l d on the pan.
• Do not fry too much food at once. Th s
lowers the temperature of the o l or fat
and results n fatty foods.
• Do not leave hot fat or o l unattended. If
overheat ng occurs, these could catch f re.
