4. Conditions for taking a measurement
To ensure reliable and reproducible results, it is essential for the
measurements to be taken under standardised conditions:
tMeasurements should be taken at the same time each day,
preferably in the morning.
tMeasurements should be taken before meals or at least
1 hour there after.
tRoom temperature should be within the 19 to 24°C range.
tSpend at least 5 minutes at rest in an indoor environment
where your exhaled breath temperature will be measured.
This ensures that your basic physiological functions
(e.g. heart rate, blood pressure and breathing frequency)
will be stable and thus facilitate accurate measurement.
tYou should be seated comfortably during the measurement.
Short breaks (to speak very briefly or clear your throat)
are okay as these actions do not affect the end result.
tIf the X-halo has been kept at a low temperature prior to
usage (e.g. during transportation), the measurement may
take slightly longer.
